If you are hearing this, evacuate and meet us on the road leading out of Great Adam City! "Wait, they also don't know what is happening? And shit, the outside road to get out of Great Adam City is far, this is a very big city after all" Jayden said

"While we are in a safe place, can we inspect the truck for defects? We can't go on and stop because of something" I said to Jayden

Jayden and I got out of the truck, went behind the container and opened it, very empty and dark. We closed it and looked around the truck for defects, nothing. I went back inside the truck and waited for Jayden.

"No damages" he said

"Oh right, uuuhhhh...can you take me to my apartment? I want to get my things, the road that goes to my apartment is also the way to the evacuation if you remember my apartment" Jayden added

I stepped on the pedal and rode towards his apartment. The farther we got away from the school, the chaos started to reveal again, a lot of houses are on fire. People running away from the people who got the virus or is it really a virus?. Let's just call the people who got the thing infected.

I went to the right, and then to the left and stopped outside of Jayden's apartment.

"Can you come with me and protect me?" Jayden asked

Both of us went outside the truck and followed Jayden to the small, long multi-story apartment complex and went to the second floor. He entered his apartment and I went idle just at his door. I looked around, some of the apartment doors right and left of Jayden's apartment are wide open and have bloodstains on it, I hope the infected are neither inside them.

"Eyyy! Reminder to pack up some of your foods and get yourself a weapon!" I shouted at Jayden

I heard growl and snarls from the apartments with doors wide open. Shouting was a bad idea. They started to come out, walk differently, mouth bloodied and wide open. 2 from the apartment on the left of Jayden's apartment and 3 on the right.

"Hurry up!" I shouted at Jayden

I approached the 2 infected behind me and kicked one of them to the ground, they acted very weak like the ones who broke inside my house. I slashed the neck of the other one to give him an insta death, if not killed already they might suffer pain, probably. The ones who broke inside my house don't even react to the blades of the broken pieces of the window.

I went to the side of the one who was on the ground and sliced his neck. I looked to the right and looked at the remaining 3, 1 girl on her bra, 1 girl with tattered shirt, nothing revealing and 1 guy with clothes in good condition and looked like he is the same age as me, my virgin eyes.

"Hey! Where are you!? I'm ready!" Jayden shouted as he came outside his apartment

He is wearing a backpack and carrying 1 backpack on his left hand and an axe on his spare hand.

"On your left!" I shouted to him

He looked to his left, he shrieked as he saw one of the infecteds near him and slashed his face, the axe was stuck on the guy's face.

"Help me!" Jayden shouted

I ran and did a flying kick to the woman on the right of Jayden who was about to grab him. I threw up my machete and caught it with my left hand and held it like a dagger. I stab the infected woman on my left below her chin. I tilted the machete up trying to take her head off but it only tilted her neck and snapped backward.

I took out the machete and sliced her neck, including her head dropped to the ground. The other female who I gave the flying kick stood up and grabbed my arm. I started wailing my arm out of her grasp but the machete's weight is giving me a hard time. I dropped off the machete, grabbed both of her shoulders with my 2 hands and back her to the wall.

"Look out!" Jayden shouted

I planted myself to the wall and kept holding on her shoulder to prevent her going near me.

*Tud*

An axe swung on her neck and was stuck to the wall, the head of infected stayed on top of the axe, the axe's blade is a few centimeters away from my neck. Her body dropped to the floor, the head rolled off the axe.

"Holy shit, I thought you were mentioning the one you are fighting with so I planted myself to the wall thinking he would grab me from behind" I said Jayden

"I nearly killed you, I thought you were going to duck down so I could slash her neck" Jayden said

"Y-yeah we need to go back to the truck, I could hear growling below" I said to Jayden

Jayden untstuck his axe and started running, I followed behind, we went down to the street. I could see a lot of infected from the left coming towards us, a lot of them. We went inside the truck.

"Ready to go?" Jane asked

"I have bad news, the truck is low on fuel" I replied

"There's a gas station on the left, just our luck" Jayden said

I drove and took a left turn, I could see the gas station and stop right in front of it. There's also a grocery store of it

"There's none of them around, just another luck, find some cans or anything from the grocery to fill up, plastic from the trash or anything that you could find, I am not sure if stealing is still prohibited on what is happening right now but this is an emergency!" I said to Jayden

I went to the premium one and started filling the truck's tank. While Jayden went to the trash cans finding plastics or something he can find useful. Jane said the tank is full, I went behind the container and opened it and started carrying the plastics that Jayden filled to the container of the truck.

I went inside the shop while Jayden was filling the others and gathered a lot of cellophanes and started looting foods, chips water, sodas and a lot more useful products and put it inside the container. I helped Jayden carry the remaining gasoline to the container, locked it and went inside the truck

"Where's the way to the outside road of the city?" I asked the 2 while trying to get the truck work

"We are facing the right direction so just try your best to find your way to just keep it in this direction" Jayden said

We rode again, the view of the city is such a big mess, there are a lot of smokes everywhere rising, screams everywhere, car honking and people eating people on the ground.

"Hey, have you heard what happened in Tanzania where there are 3 schoolgirls who started laughing uncontrollably? And quickly spread to their classmates and now spread to neighboring people? It is very similar to what is happening right now, it kills...people and acts in a brutal way" Jane said

Yeah, I remember this story. I think it happened in 1962? And stopped after 18 months? That's long.

*Skrrrrtt*

I stopped the truck as I saw a familiar face running on the sidewalk, it's Kristy. Just a classmate of mine but never talk with her.

"At the back of the truck, bang the wall if you're ready!" I shouted to Kristy

She nodded and ran to the container

"Is that you Glenn? Didn't see you there but we better get out of this hell, go the container!" Jayden shouted from the other side

Glenn, a friend of ours, joined Kirsty at the container and banged the wall signalling us. I continued driving.

"Do you guys know what is happening?" Kristy shouted from the other side

"No! It happened really fast!" Jane replied

"Damn, it's smelling gasoline in here! We don't want to-oh wait, Kristy, I've got a mask for you" we could hear Glenn talking

I drove to the left, then right, right, then left trying to do what Jayden instructed me. I went to the right and to the left again, but suddenly was met by an oil truck coming at us at high speed. The driver looks unconscious.

"Holy shit!"

I saw a narrow way on the right with parked cars. I went to the right and steadily tried to go just the between of the oil truck and the parked cars.

*BANG*

The oil truck destroyed my truck's side mirror as it went past through me but thankfully dodged it.

"Nice one!" Jayden complimented me

*BANG*

I could hear the oil truck crashed into a building, the three of us laughed maniacally, we continued our way to the evacuation site.
