The Mortal God decided to be nice to you guys so enjoy!!!! Also, if Heath and Christian don't have a girlfriend/s and Locky, Seb, Joe and Jaxx do then there ARE NO gods where you're from.
".........................................????........!!!!!! I now worship a God." Is what I said in amazement. The other guys were in similar states after seeing these abilities.
"Okay now then there are 7 path ways for you to choose. They are Hero, Anti-hero, Some guy in a "Good" country, Some guy in a "Evil" country, Mercenary, Adventurer and wanderer. Hero you work in one of those "Good" countries and more chiefly a god. Anti-hero you start anywhere and your missions involve doing "Evil" deeds. Those some guy paths mean you work in one of those countries with your position based upon your race, for example a demon in a "Good" country is a slave. How does your group work then in that case? You have to rescue him or if your all imprisoned then the slave magic will fail and then your free. Merc, you start in any country and work for money similar to an adventurer but you can raise an army legally. Adventurer, start in any country and work various jobs for money and cannot have more than 20 in a group or party. Wanderer, you can do whatever you want with nothing your supposed to do and get quests from any request you receive with different approaches, for example you get asked to save someone, you can save them, enslave them, kill them whatever you want as long as you take care of that person. Choose now and then Samuel will show you where you can start." The Mortal God told us all letting it sink in before continuing, "After that you will be able to select your 2 classes and 6 things that go with said classes, 3 per. The class choices will affect starter equipment, stats amount other things. I think that was it probably not but whatever it'll be more fun this way. Goodbye!" He said cheerfully and then...
The Mortal God insists you choose wanderer as it offers the most freedom, allows the chance to become an actual God, no I am NOT joking and allows you to do whatever you want. Also when I said insists, I meant he chose for you and your classes but not the sub things or anything else. Enjoy!
Christian your classes are rogue as main and battlemage as seondary. Lachlan your classes are battlemage as main and escapist as secondary. Joe your classes are Healer and Resurrector. Jaxx yours are Magic archer and hunter. Seb, warrior and morpher. Heath yours are "The Heaviest, Strongest, Most Dangerous, Godly Slaghterer Tank" a.k.a THSMDGST or Hell's Warrior and summoner.
"Really other me? Really?" I was chuckling at the ridiculousness of this and just going with it said, "For those sub things, I'll go More Summons, More Mana, Commander, Warrior Rage, Swordsmen and finally Heavy Armour User." And that's just what I got.
After that a planet that Samuel told me was 5 times the surface area of Jupiter and Jupiter was 61.42 billion km². Multiplied by five and this nameless world was massive. The star it orbited was unfathomable. The title amongst Gods was, "The Mortal God's Play Ground." I asked why and Samuel told me it was because this was where he fucked around outside of his empire. He also said that he usually causes an apocalypse when he gets bored. Incentive to be entertaining.
Back to the matter at hand, we wanted to choose a massive island continent but Samuel said that if we wanted to start a country there than we had better go to, Isladahara, I think I'm not sure. We chose to go there and try to get on one of the ships when they go to colonize the island continent. The only problem with going to Isladahara, was that Christian and Jaxx were slaves as they were too evil looking because we all went custom for races, except Seb, so we have to rescue them and they're guarded by level 2 guards along with a lot of slaves. But we haven't spawned in yet so we have time to plan.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Prologue ends here and chapter 1 begins.
So we've spawned in at night and we're about a kilometre (0.621371 miles) away from the camp. What we know is that there are 20 guards, 50 slaves not including our guys and 5 slave masters and 1 slave merchant, the leader of this camp. They were all light elves except for the slaves. Light elves had glowing white skin and were 180cm (5.9 imperial measurement) tall. The guards used mostly swords a couple bows and that was all we knew about the camp.
Locky had a black mana increasing robe and a root staff, Seb had a special armour that would morph with him that in his Sebian form, a leather breastplate, thin leather leggings and a steel short sword and no shield. I had what Seb had but instead of a short sword I had a steel long sword and a round shield. I don't like the shield. We were all level one and thus didn't plan on attacking the guards and instead made the max of 20 minions each. I made mine 2 meters (6.56168 Imperial measurement) tall, with a basic skeletal structure of a human made of iron armed with 2 blades that were double-edged and fairly short about a dagger that were positioned on the hands and that was it. Locky's were mages made of hard wood with no weapons and Seb's were very small humanoids, 1 meter (about 3 feet) tall armed with 1 dagger and they were a skeleton made of black iron and there was only 5 of them.
"Okay let's begin." I said.
The enemy camp had cleared out about 100 meters (656.168 feet) around them so they could see anything that approaches them. This area, to make matters worse, was a plain with no cover except darkness which shies away from the torch light. Fun.
3rd person POV because I think it'll be better than MC's POV...
The 4 guards looking out over the plains were nearing the end of their shift and thus were really tired, which is what they thought when they saw little black things moving towards them. The guard in the centre of the camp looking after the fire on this cold night, had destroyed his night vision and was nearly falling into the fire due to his tiredness.
It took 10 minutes for the first guard to fall and soon only the guard that was practically falling into the fire was left alive. The thing's Seb summoned had done their job well so far but their greatest challenge was to kill the last guard silently. At least the other summons had arrived to witness the death of the last guard, by being stabbed in his neck and pushed into the fire. Heath's summons then freed all the slaves and then Lockly's summons burned the slave masters and merchant which woke-up the remaining guards.
The guards ran out of the many tents wielding just a sword and for 2, a bow and quiver. The guards were dumbfounded as a tall, about 2.5 meters (8.2021 feet) tall, 4-armed figure walked in with a 2 circle shields and 2 long swords, but that wasn't what stopped them. No, it was the fact that this being had no face, and that this figure exuded the presence of what could only be that of the divine. These guards knew they were damned to die but after regaining their composure ran at the figure screaming and yelling.
The figure then ran at the fastest guard and decapitated them and punched with his left the guard on his right and then stabbed him through his throat. A guard went to swing his sword down on the figures exposed back and was met with and elbow to the side of the head dazing a him before losing his head. The figure's brutality and speed halted the guards for another few seconds before one of them had a sword lodged in the middle of his head and another, a circle shield partially through his throat. It took another couple of seconds in which 3 more guards fell beneath the figures blows. The remaining guards were then disabled by the minions who cut the guards arms and legs off and then the wounds seared to stop any bleeding by Locky.
The figure retrieved his sword and shield before moving towards the slaves.
Back to MC's POV...
That was... bloody to say the least. I should be in shock or something but I guess The Mortal God did something to us to make us calmer or something. Unfortunately, it doesn't make you remember all the weapons and arms at your disposal. At least the goal has been accomplished.
The slaves all looked demonic which is no surprise, though I couldn't see Christian, Jaxx or Joe, but then I heard the remaining guards screaming and so the plan is complete. Everyone's gotten kills and hopefully some levels. Now that there was nothing to worry about, I could take in those details. The camp was somewhat big, I think, I've never gone camping so yeah. The tents looked the same being a triangle shape with white cloth and wooden planks. My friends all used custom made bodies except for Seb, he had the same body. Locky's body was like an elf body but taller and thicker, due to adding more mana cores and pathways but that's all I could see due to his robe hiding most of his body and him not saying anything else about his body. Jaxx, he was still short and had demonic horns and marks across his body, he had 2 arms and according to him, due to his ability, he was composed of highly durable mana cores that were connected by many mana pathways. In other words, a giant, walking mana core protected by thick skin. Christian, I couldn't find right now so, not sure what he looks like. Joe, the most important person here, he was tall I'd say exactly my height and he had purple skin, red eyes, horns, bone protrusions, sharp backward pointed teeth, a whip like tail and runic tattoos. Incredibly demonic looking.
"As soon as Christian gets here, we'll decide what to do with the slaves." I said aloud in english.
"Shouldn't we free them?" Asked Locky in a questioning tone.
"We can use them, whether it be in a mercenary army, extra xp, learning opportunities, or something else." I told him, hopefully relieving him of his doubts.
"Ok, Heath. I'll trust you....... For now." He said quietly. I'd kill him if he wasn't my friend due to the threat he now represented.
"What's going on?" Christian asked us.
"Deciding what to do with the slaves and Locky was questioning me." I told him before Locky could say anything. Now that Christian was here I could actually see what was so demonic about. Red eyes, 179cm according to him, 2 small-ish horns, pale white skin, bone protrusions pitch black hair as black as his non-existant soul, 4 arms.
"Ok, Locky don't question Heath, he's a fucking God." Christian said to Locky.
"What if it's wrong?" He asked back.
"Stop. Let's just figure out where we want to go after this and then we'll decide what to do with the slaves." I said trying to stop the rapidly appearing rift.
"Merc, Adventurer or some land owner?" I asked them, keeping it short and precise.
"Why not a store owner?" Jaxx asked me.
"Because some land owner covers just about everything else that should get us on a ship to the new land." I replied, still using english.
"Adventurer then." Joe voted.
"Land owner." Locky voted.
"Land owner." Voted Jaxx.
"Merc." Christian voted.
"Adventurer." Seb this time.
"I vote merc." I told them.
"And we reached a tie. Merc and adventurer are practically the same thing just merc's might have armies and more to do with killing of sentients." I told them.
And we cast our votes again, bear in mind this had been going on for a couple of minutes and so the slaves were getting restless.
"Excuse me, but what are you going on about." He'd asked me stopping us from continuing our conversation.
"Deciding what to do with you all by deciding what to do after this." I answered quickly.
"Could you then please hurry up?" He asked impatiently.
"We're at a tie here between Mercenary and Some Land Owner. So, unless you can persuade us in one of those directions, then you must wait." I told him simply.
"Mercenaries usually get hired by a lot of higher-ups and are expendably often times. Land owners get bullied by nobles and such which makes it hard to make a profit, but put of those two I'd go mercenary and stay in lower class areas. Easier missions, good way to travel, avoids getting you enemies and that's about it." He was now somewhat respected by me with those reasons, which I then repeated to the other guys and thus we became mercs.
