Ivan and Elizabeth end up on the outskirts of Blightwood. The dark and dreary town seems like it comes straight out of a horror movie.
Dark and run down houses are littered all over the place.
Barely any light shines throughout the city since most of the cities don’t need light to see.
Demons, scoundrels, criminals, and monsters mill around, throwing threatening glances at anyone who looks at them to let everyone know they are not to be trifled with.
Small imps roam around, spitting flames at people and laughing as they fly away. The people who are left to be burnt or on fire can only curse as they watch the mischievous bastard fly away.
Disfigured globs of meat are crawling around, some are even decomposing corpses of someone who had lost a fight or got murdered in cold blood.
“Ewww,” says Ivan as watches a glob eating someone’s corpse.
Elizabeth looks to see what Ivan is staring at. When she sees it she wonders what Ivan thinks of this place.
“Yeah. Those were introduced so corpses don’t overflow and fill the town.”
“Huh, they might be disgusting but they have economic positives to them.” says Ivan while giving the meat glob one last inspection.
“Uhhhh, sure. Whatever econominics means.”
“It’s economics, it’s the study of the economy but not something you should worry about. Now where do you want to go first?”
“Let us go to my master’s old house first.” says Elizabeth while walking deeper into the town.
“Alright, you’ll lead the way I guess.”
As the two walk down the street, Ivan is taking in the sights around him. The smell of blood, sex, and smoke pierce his nostrils, causing him to scrunch his face up in discontent.
As Ivan is walking behind Elizabeth, he turns right and sees a man getting repeatedly stab on the grab while 6 other men do the stabbing.
They all seem to be humans and the man who is being stabbed seems to be near death.
Thinking about stepping in, Ivan goes to open his mouth but he uses his better judgement and keeps walking by.
I can imagine that something like this is a common occurrence, and me stopping the norm here will only cause Elizabeth and I problems. I’ll stand by for now.
Ivan stays in tow of Elizabeth, and he becomes extra aware as he saw someone giving the little girl in front of him a dangerous glare.
Elizabeth was unfazed by it but Ivan is not trying to kill someone because they choose the wrong person to mess with.
After around fifty minutes of walking, Elizabeth and Ivan end up on the other end of town. Unfortunately for someone, they decided to walk up to Elizabeth and try to harass her.
The man said sexual things and offered Elizabeth money for sex, but before Elizabeth could respond Ivan threw the man.
The man ended up smashing into a wall and was unconscious on impact.

Truth be told, very few have actually noticed Ivan and the man Ivan threw wasn’t one of them. That is the only reason the man had the confidence to walk up to Elizabeth like that.
Anyone who has noticed Ivan has slunk away into the shadows, heading to places where the influential people in the city gather.
Of course, Ivan and Elizabeth had no way of knowing that.
Being on the other end of town, there is a lone hill that only has one house on it. Elizabeth starts walking up the hill with the hulking man that is Ivan following right behind her.
Ivan observes the house in front of them and can see a shack, but a shack that is bigger than all the others he has seen.
Seems like this girl’s master was a bigshot within the town. I wish I could have met him. He did so well raising Elizabeth that she seems like she has the maturity of a twenty year old.
As Ivan and Elizabeth reach the door, Elizabeth goes to open it.
Elizabeth’s hand touches the handle to the door and Ivan feels an electric shock shoot through his body.
His instincts are screaming at him that something is wrong and before Elizabeth can even start pulling down on the handle, Ivan makes his move.
Time seems to freeze as Ivan moves as quickly as he can. Ivan removes Elizabeth’s hand, picks her up, and moves twenty feet away without her even moving an inch.
Once he stops moving, time around him seems to flow again and Elizabeth simply blinks a few times.
“Eh? What happened?”
Elizabeth is still trying to process why she just teleported twenty feet away from where she was but then she looks down and sees that she is in the arms of Ivan.
“Someone or something is in that house. It’s making my instincts go wild, telling me not to approach it.”
“What?! Something is scaring you Ivan? What kind of monster is in there?!”
“Well, to be honest I’m not so scared of it as I am cautious of it. With you here as well, I don’t want to chance anything. I think we should wait and see if anything comes out.”
Elizabeth is sure glad that Ivan has extremely keen senses as she doesn’t plan on dying here and goes along with Ivan’s plan to wait it out.
There is a small patch of woods near the shack on the top of the hill and Ivan jogs over with Elizabeth in his grasp.
Surprisingly for someone so big, his steps are very light and make next to no noise.
Ivan is currently focused right now and is starting to show the prowess of his new body.
When making it to the patch of woods, Ivan checks it for anything dangerous and when he feels safe, he picks a tree to perch on.
Jumping up into the tree, Ivan puts Elizabeth down.
“Now what?” says Elizabeth.
“We try and conceal ourselves and wait to see if anything comes out. You can hide yourself in this tree right?”
Elizabeth looks at the large tree she is sitting at the top off and finds a branch perfect for her to hide on.
She nods her head at Ivan and jumps down, afterwards she crouches down on the branch and completely conceals and trace of herself.
Except for one thing.
Having snow white hair makes it hard to hide yourself. Ivan notices this and looks down at himself.
He is wearing a cloth shirt and pants that are the color of black. He rips off one of his short sleeves and grabs Elizabeth’s attention.
“Use this to wrap your hair in.” says Ivan as he climbs down and hands her the ripped off sleeve.
Ivan’s arms are much rounder than Elizabeth’s head and she can easily wrap up her white hair with the black cloth to conceal it.
“Thank you.”
Ivan nods his head and climbs back up to his perch near the top of the tree.
He takes in a deep breath and focuses on hiding his presence. It isn’t hard since he conceals himself in public without trying as long as people are fairly weak, but now that he is trying to hide himself there are few people who could find Ivan right now.
Ivan realizes that this will be his first ‘stakeout’ and an excitement washes over him. It still hasn’t clicked that he is in a new fantasy world. As a kid he always wanted to go on adventures and help people around him and people who are in need.
Unfortunately with the cards he has been dealt with only one of those two are easy at the moment while the other one will be a challenge. This won’t sway Ivan though and the plan he made while coming here was to get so much influence people can’t ignore him anymore and use this influence to change the world for the better.
Of course, the start of this plan involves Blightwood, Elizabeth, and the woman who captured her brother.
