He even cut down a large swath of my forest at one point just to prove he could. This was when I was much smaller and younger. It took three nations to reign him in, and even then, it was a close thing! He would show up cut down a city and disappear. It was believed that he was a traveler that someone had done wrong, who went crazy. Another reason for the scales” he said with a nervous laugh. “From what I remembered he did not have a weapon like yours that was his downfall. Any weapon he used would beak after so long. I believe that is how they won they kept attacking him until his weapons all were broken and destroyed. They also only attacked him with blunt weapons so he could not get new weapons from the fallen. Once he was out of weapons, they bludgeoned him to death. It cost them thousands of lives to accomplish this though.”

“I was concerned because if I had misread the situation then I would be responsible for releasing a new plague on the world. I must say it was concerning. But I can say from what I know of you, you are not like him. He never once came and sat with me, even though he had many chances. I choose to believe you will not become like him even though you could. The funny thing is that he is responsible for the damage to the side of the mountain that you escaped through” he says nodding.

I think my mouth must have stuck open. Because when I came back, he had a concerned look on his face. I was quite literally a monster! Outside of the queen spider, there had been very little that could stand up in a fight with me previously. At least that was the case during the day. I did not know what happened at night but I might have to find out now.

“So can you tell me how the extra classes work that is a new thing to me?”

“It is a very rare thing even in outsiders. Most here would not want more than one class since they only have so many levels” he said eyes narrowing. “Most humans have only one hundred fifty levels if you were to have two classes at level forty it might not be as powerful as one class at level eighty. In your case, it does not matter since you are not level locked. But from what I remember over time I have only heard of it a few times. In each of those stories the outcome varied.” He looked at me in his oddly human-like manner. “So, you are aware not all outsiders gain power once they arrive here. Some are so weak that they can be overpowered by children. Others like you come and gain ridiculous power it varies quite a bit. I have heard of three others having two classes. Two of those three had two non-combat classes. The last one had two different combat classes and gained some notoriety. It is all dependent on the classes and how well they work together.”

I was wondering if there was something that would tell me how well my classes mesh. There was so much about the system that I did understand. Even with the avatar's help, there were things he didn’t know since his system was different. There had to be something here that would give me what I needed.

That’s what I needed based on my insight check I knew that the synergy would increase the more I used different abilities together. These classes were different as well since they actually came with skills. I understood now why that was. There had been no comparable class to my original class here so the system could not grant skills for it. I also knew that once I learned skills that the class would issue those skills and spells to the next person to learn the class. I had become the template for it with the system. I knew that I need to understand my new skills. The next thing would be to review them all.

Reaving Strike.

This attack hits everything within a 45-degree cone out to 15 feet. This attack is made with whatever weapon the reaver is holding. The attack will integrate any properties on the weapon being used as well as the base property of the reavers class (Void).

Void Rush.

You cloak yourself in energy and charge into battle. The user cloaks themselves in void energy. This energy increases the user’s movement speed by 6 times for 10 seconds. This is a movement skill. Cast time instant. 12 MP Cool Down 50 Sec. 1602 ft/s.

Blade Blink.

You dash towards your target slashing with your blades. This skill increases the user's speed and attack power allowing them to move and attack. Class synergy bonus this skill can be used with bladed dash, void rush, storm of blades, flock of blades, and bladed wings. The combination will determine the outcome. Cast time instant. 7 MP Cool Down 30 Sec. 534 ft/s.

Bladed Wings.

You create wings that are copies of the blade you are currently using. These wings will allow you to jump great distances. The wings can be used to attack and defend. The attack and defense will be calculated based on the blade being used. Additional: The skill power glide has been created. Fly has been upgraded to Fly 4 from Fly 2 based on the addition of wings. Aura/ SUB Generation.

You can release and surround yourself in/with energy for defensive and/or offensive purposes. This grants the user various abilities/attacks depending on the energy. The auras may also give the user enhanced physical capabilities such as speed, strength, and durability. The user’s auras are Hungering Void Maw, and Impending Death. These are advanced auras and have multiple effects on the user and his adversaries.

Hungering Void Maw/ Aura.

This aura enhances the user. Any abilities that have void in the name or use void energy become free cast for the user. All enemies lose %15 of their MP and ST pools when in this aura field. The aura covers 100 ft for every 100 INT the user has (500). Cast time instant. 7MP/Sec Cool Down N/A.

Impending Death/ Aura.

This aura weakens the user’s enemies. This aura reduces the HP of anyone hostile to the user by %15. This effect strengthens by %.5 for every enemy killed in the field to a max of %35. The aura covers 100 ft for every 100 INT the user has (500), and every death expands the range by 5ft. Additional: synergy bonus, when used with Hungering Void Maw/ Aura. The combined Aura’s will damage all hostile parties 15HP/ Sec. Additional: Hidden unlock profession! Cast time instant. 20MP Cool Down N/A.

Power Glide/ SUB Reduced Gravity 2: Active lvl 2.

This is a targeted effect, and directs mana only to the wings created from the skill bladed wings. This effect allows you to glide with some speed and control. Cast time instant. 3 MP/Sec Cool Down N/A.

From my review, all of my new classes were similar, as far as skills were concerned. They both came with an attack and a movement ability. The bladed wings were an interesting skill because of the multiple uses. They could be used to move, attack, and defend. They also increased my fly speed and added a new sub spell for power glide.

Even though it was not listed I knew that a number of my skills had been upgraded. Some of this was due to the addition of new classes and some of it was a side effect of the orb. The system only listed the major changes due to the orb. I know there were other changes like to Sky Cutter and Akurra. Still, something was off. The amount of power I gained was too much. Not saying I would complain but I knew somehow for my level I was way too strong. The Avatar was sitting there watching me quietly.

“Something is not right here! Not that I am complaining but I feel like I am way too powerful for my level?”

“Oh, it doesn’t surprise me that you would have figured that out. But, to do so as fast as you have is astonishing. Yes, you are probably about ten times stronger than you should be which is terrifying. We also need to work on your aura’s. If you go about as you, are you will likely kill someone” he said looking at me solemnly. “Your auras are currently active it is normal for it to be active when you first gain it. It also normally only has a short-range and limited power. That is not the case for you. You are currently blasting most of my grove with your aura. The only thing holding it back is my own.”

For a while, it was like he was contemplating me for a while. I could tell he was trying to decide on how to teach me to use my aura. Why he was contemplating this I went into my status. I knew I could use Skill Manipulation to lessen the effect of my auras. When I concentrated on this, I saw there were slots for auras. I had five, my intuition told me that four of them were permanent while the fifth was created by Elemental Aura. While the avatar was still contemplating how to teach me control. I decided to move to a more open area and test a few things.

For the first time since I arrived, I had a chance to watch my whole casting process. Up to this point, I had been doing it instinctively. I had never sat and watched what happened when I cast a spell. I wanted to use my Elemental Aura to see if it would give me an idea of how to control my other auras. I sat in an open area and went into my menus and zoomed into my auras. I cast my Elemental Aura and watched. The first few times I missed the process, due to the weirdness of casting while being in my menus. The fifth time I was able to concentrate enough to watch most of the process and the way the aura slotted into place. I was also able to gauge the spell casting process. For how instinctual a process it was for me it was a very complex process. It consisted of several phases that happened one after another. Spells when the cast went through initialization, invocation, definition and intent, actualization, and result and dissipation. For me, all of this seems to happen in a shortened period. Insight kicked in and I understood that since I was able to hold a mental image of exactly the effect that I wanted from each spell. The process had been sped up exponentially for me. I also understood that casters from this realm might not be able to do the same.

After a few hours, I was able to grasp the concept of my auras well enough to be able to reach into and cut the flow of mana to them completely. I also was able to control them to the point where I could cover myself and nothing else with my aura. When I came out of the enhanced sight, I saw the messages I had been waiting on.

You can shape, manipulate, activate, and deactivate your auras. You the user’s auras are Hungering Void Maw, and Impending Death. These are advanced auras and have multiple effects on the user and his adversaries.

Aura/ SUB Cowl: Active.

You can cover yourself in the power of your aura. This skill will allow you to strengthen yourself. While the cowl is active you will lose the portion of the field that affects your enemies. Since the user has more than one aura the cowl can be used simultaneously to the field. One aura must be used to generate the field while the other uses the cowl.

I look through my menus at the avatar who is sitting there silently. I can tell he is disappointed since he was not much help in my learning to control my auras. I know from his minor facial tics that he is quite happy that I figured it out though. I start to close all of my menu’s as I prepare to exit them. All of a sudden, I am hit with an extreme mental pressure. I know that something important is happening. As my vison fades and I slump over.
