Thea opened her eyes, she had returned to the Church she had woken up in. This time surrounded by the priests she had saved.
They looked around in confusion, looking at the walls of divine light, the most beautiful church any of them had ever seen, the warm embrace of the church around them felt like a hug from the divine themselves. One by one they lowered themselves to their knees and clasped their hands together, tears running down their cheeks.
“Goddess Thea, thank you so much.” They said in a unison of choked cries while embracing each other.
Thea smiled at them, the pure joy and life they were showing lightened her heavy heart. Even after what happened, and that she had let it happen no matter how unknowingly, they didn’t blame her for their pain, but instead thanked her for freeing them from it.
“I’m sorry everyone, it pains me to see what happened without my knowledge, and that many have lost their lives in such terrible ways,” Thea said, her face lowered and strained. She truly felt awful, she created these people’s pain just for the background of a character in a book.
They could feel the pain in her voice, and they felt the pain they had been holding in, too worried about if they would live to have a tomorrow, now finally able to reminisce and grieve, remembering their friends now passed. Those caught in between a war they should’ve never had to go through.
Noticing the grim aura that had surrounded the group Thea decided to change topics.
“I plan to rebuild the church, I'm not unaware of the corruption that had spread, and the wars the church had started in my name. But no more will we spread Order with fear and pain. It was not in my name but in the name of greed and more power that they had caused those crimes at the expense of my name.” Thea spoke clearly and confidently.
Many of the priests felt a thumping in their chest, their hearts beating fast at the idea, many of them wanted a change like this but had naught the power to be able to bring it about. But her words were the words of god herself, not of man capable of corruption, those who had become obsessed with money and power, throwing away the title they had been fortunate to receive.
They all looked at each other nodding, a wide understanding of what they wanted to say.
“We would be honored to help you!” They said in unison.

“I would be happy to receive it from you all. But for now, this place can be your home, it's not safe there yet, but it is here, go through that door and you will find many rooms, feel free to explore to your content, and if you feel lost, think of this room and go through any door and you’ll find yourself back here.” Thea said with a warm smile.
They all said thank you before dispersing as she told them to do.
Going back to her private room she laid back. Whenever she closed her eyes she saw the state of the dungeon.
“How many people are going through the same sub-human torture they were…” She thought to herself. The face of the man causing this etched into her mind, the face of rage that never disappeared, almost as if he was rage itself.
“I will…make this…right…” She said slowly, as her exhaustion pulled her into a deep slumber.
…
A man sat robed at a bar in a darker corner. Listening to the conversations around him till one particular one caught his full attention.
“Why would god personally come to help those wretched things, she abandoned them long ago we all know it!” A drunken man said with a large bear in his hand.
“Shhh you dimwit what if she hears you!” A man said on the other side of the table.
“Ah, who cares! The church is the cause of all this mess after all! The emperor was just trying to protect us from those warmongering fanatics! And look what he got in return, his castle collapsed!” He said continuing his drunken spur.
“You know I agree, but I don’t go about shouting it in public! She did take down his castle in a day for Pete’s sake. It was his Majesty's symbol of power along with the imperial knights, morals bound to go down and I'm sure his majesty is furious!” The other man said in a whisper.
“Yeah, I guess that's true…” He said quieter this time.
” Let's just change topics, we came out tonight to have fun right? Not complain about this garbage, let's just drink till we can’t remember what we did tonight!”
“Yeah right again, to beer!” They said smacking their beer’s together before chugging.
“…the goddess hm? Maybe it was worth coming to this hole in the wall after all.” He said standing up leaving seemingly unnoticed by all around him.
“Shall I investigate how accurate this rumor truly is?” He said as he walked. Merging into the crowded street disappearing among the sea of people.
…
A carriage rode surrounded by Imperial guards, inside the Emperor and Oliver sat.
“You're saying that woman I sent to the dungeon was the goddess!?” The emperor shouted.
“Yes, your majesty I saw her myself, as soon as she saw the dungeon everything began shaking before the prisoners were healed and teleported out,” Oliver responded.
The emperor's face went red in rage, and his teeth clenched.
“She abandoned the church long ago, a saint hasn't been born in hundreds of years.” He said his head in his palms.
”Maybe we should back down…we don't have the means to fight the goddess, we may be able to dominate the church and the templars, but this is out of our power your majesty…”
He looked up his eyes full of rage.
“Never speak words of surrender to me again Oliver! We may be long-time friends but I will not hear of it again.” He said as he slammed his hand into the wall.
“We will find a way, and we Will show that haughty goddess that humans are not bugs to watch play!”
