"Hey Mom, yeah I'm almost home from the store, I bought some snacks for the show tonight, be there soon," Lily said ending her call.
She stared at the night sky full of stars, her breaths like smoke in the cold air. Rubbing her hands together to try to warm them up.
From behind she heard the sound of steps, coming towards her quickly. She turned, but she had been too slow in noticing.
Gush
A knife came quickly plunging into her abdomen.
Lily let out a yelp of pain as she backed away slipping on the snow.
Looking up at the person who had just stabbed her. Her eyes widened in shock, her lips quivered at the person she saw looking down at her. It was her ex-girlfriend, Abby.
"A-Abb..y?" She managed to stammer weakly. Lily could smell the alcohol on her.
"W-Why?" Lily said, her eyes teary.
"I-If I can't have you then no one can!' Abby yelled. Turning around she quickly ran away leaving Lily behind.
Lily could barely think straight. But she could tell she wasn't gonna be able to make it. Reaching into her pocket she grabbed her phone. Her hands shook as she entered her password as called her mom.

"Lily? Are you almost home? The shows starting soon!"
"I-Im s..sorry Mom. I won..t be able to m-make it." She said weakly. She was so cold, and her vision was growing blurry.
"Lily are you okay? What happened, Where are you?" She said in a worried voice.
"...I, I Love you, Mom..." Lily said. No longer able to keep her phone held up. Her voice was no longer strong enough to hear. Her short strained breaths that escaped her lips grew weaker. Until she closed her eyes and everything went black
"Lily? LILY?!" She yelled.
...
"Did I die? I can't feel anything, or hear anything, is this what it feels like to be dead? Wait, but I'm still able to think. What's going on?" She tried opening her eyes but wasn't able to. She wasn't able to do anything. She didn't feel like she even had a body. She just...existed.

Suddenly she began to see a light. She didn't know what it was. But it pulled her in.
"W-Whaaaa-" After going through the light she finally could feel. Her senses had returned. She was no longer in that void. Instead, she was in a temple. It seemed to be that of a church made of light Itself.
"W-where am I?" She said to herself, but the voice she heard was not that of her own. Or of any language she knew. But she understood every word. Her voice was beautiful yet it had no one sound. It was unlike anything she had ever heard.
She turned to look at herself instead to see any more changes. She let out a gasp as she looked at her body. She was what seemed like light and darkness itself. A mix of what could only be described as the perfect balance. Half of her the deepest void, and the other, the most elegant light.
"W-What am I? A voice unlike anything possible. and a body of pure light and darkne-" She paused as she spoke. A feeling of deja vu swept over her as she thought of what she had just said.
"A being with an extraordinary voice and a strange language. A body of the perfect balance of light and darkness. She had heard it all before. She was the one to say it after all. It was the exact description she gave the goddess Thea in her novel, "Reaching for Diamond".
Thea was the goddess of her novel. She didn't play a major role besides being the goddess of the most prominent religion in the novel. The Church of Order. A church that in the name of Thea the goddess of Balance, Judgment, and Order. Conquered half the known continent with its templars. Killing anyone thought to be a heretic. It had grown too large for comfort to the Emporer. So he charged in with the imperial army and destroyed the church after a years-long war. That's where the story starts and Diamond, the female lead and an orphan of war begins the start of the novel.
"The Goddess played little role in the church which caused it to go down the wrong direction into a land of corruption. She was basically used as a plot point to introduce the poor fortuned young girl fated to find a world of happiness after being adopted by the duke." She said.
"If I'm correct, at what point of the story am I even at? I never wrote anything from the goddess's perspective to be able to figure anything out." She said as she began walking around. The church was strangely big. Not only was there the prayer room, but it also branched off into many different rooms. Bedrooms, bathrooms, a library, it almost seemed never-ending.
Time passed by. Slowly but surely Lily learned how to do things. The library of books had all the information she could ever have needed. She was able to turn human at least on the outside. She could use magic as she pleased, and eventually, she found out how to go down to humanity.
"How much time has passed in here? I've read every book in the library and not a page has left my memory. But I suppose it's finally time I leave here."
She began a chant in the language of the gods.
Geluz Ent Ozmosia!
A pillar of light surrounded her, and just as quickly as it came it disappeared. But now she was deep within a lively green forest. Plants so beautiful compared to anything she had ever seen. Small animals ran away from the sudden light. Along with larger ones that stood wary. It truly was another world.
She looked around the forest nothing but trees for as far as she could see. But quickly that serenity was interrupted by the sounds of metal clanking and feet pressing against the grass in a large group.
Just as soon as she had arrived she was surrounded by soldiers bearing the imperial family's flag.
"...huh?"
