Chapter 9: Training Under Light's Tutelage

Adjusting the buttons of his shirt after already having put on his pants, Light silently pondered, "I didn't imagine she was a virgin..."

Observing the reddish marks on the bed sheets, located in a more secluded and tidy corner of the ruined church, Light turned his gaze to Raynare. She sat on the bed, staring at him with intensely shining eyes.

"You were extraordinary, Light-sama~," she whispered in an enticing voice, full of flirtation and seduction. Especially considering the situation she was in.

Her hair was a mess, and she was completely naked, showcasing a sculpted body filled with charm and maturity, with love marks that accentuated her seductive silhouette.

"I was under the impression that you had abandoned your faith in God," Light remarked. "I remember hearing you call out the name of 'God' several times."

"Can I help it?" Raynare said, releasing a soft laugh. Despite her bold demeanor, a hint of shyness could be detected in her expression.

At one point, she seemed so embarrassed under Light's gaze that she covered her blushing face with her hands.

This prompted a deeper, heartier laugh from Light.

Raynare, peeking between her fingers and watching Light laugh, appeared utterly enchanted.

She then took one hand off her face, using it to fan herself.

━━━━━━━━

Before Light stood Asia Argento. Her smooth, long blonde hair gracefully fell over her shoulders, framing a face with delicate features. Her deep blue eyes radiated captivating innocence. Dressed in a nun's habit, the black and white attire highlighted her fair skin and contrasted with her angelic aura. The outfit, though simple, emphasized her elegant posture and purity, making her a delightful sight.

"Hello, Asia-chan," Light greeted her with a friendly smile. "I imagine you're wondering why I've called you here, aren't you?"

"Good afternoon, Light-sama." She bowed respectfully and confirmed with a nod, "Yes, I am."

"Did they tell you anything about me?" Noticing Asia's affirmation, Light continued, "Currently, you follow Raynare's orders, who directly reports to me. What I want is for you to start working directly under my command."

"Understood," Asia inquired, "But why exactly do you want me?"

Her deep, innocent blue eyes sought the answer in Light's gaze.

"Let's just say I value your kind nature," Light explained. "And, of course, your special ability is a bonus. Do you understand what I mean?"

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

"Yes, I understand," Asia responded. "So, I'll be under your tutelage, Light-sama?"

Realizing she still seemed a bit unsure, Light chose not to delve further into the topic.

"For now, Raynare has arranged a place for you to stay," Light informed. "All you need to do is attend school, acquire more knowledge, and, upon returning, dedicate yourself to training."

"Really?" Asia asked, surprised. "So, my focus will only be on studying and training?"

Noticing the sparkle intensify in her eyes, Light couldn't help but smile.

"Exactly," Light confirmed. "Right now, there's no need for you to do anything specific for me. After all, you still need to strengthen yourself. However, if you dedicate yourself and evolve, I'll be grateful if you can assist me in future situations."

Hearing this, even Raynare, Kalawarna, and Mittelt seemed perplexed, trying to understand Light's reasons for such decisions regarding Asia.

"I promise to give my best!" Asia declared, clenching her delicate fists in determination.

Light observed her with a smile, finding her intriguing.

After a brief moment, he proposed, "How about we start the training now?"

His gaze then shifted to Raynare, Kalawarna, and Mittelt.

"If you want to improve, you're invited to join us," Light suggested. "Weren't you interested in learning about Haki?"

"Really?" The three questioned simultaneously, surprised.

"Exactly," Light confirmed, without elaborating. "The decision is yours."

"We definitely accept!" They responded in unison, showing enthusiasm.

Asia, noticing their reaction, appeared visibly surprised.

"What's so special about this Haki that it excites them so?" Asia inquired softly.

"It's a technique that enhances both the body and spirit," Light explained, turning his gaze back to her. "It's extremely effective, but at the moment, you still lack the capability to manifest Haki."

Light's hands were enveloped by the energy of Haki.

"What you're seeing is the Armament Haki," Light elucidated. "With it, I can enhance both my defense and attack. And it's not limited to just my hands; I can apply it to any part of my body. Of course, I can cover my entire body with it, but it's more effective when concentrated in a specific area."

Light continued, detailing the fundamentals of Haki.

By the end of his explanation, the power and complexity of Haki were evident to all four present.

"It's no surprise that Dohnaseek was defeated so brutally by Light-sama's blows..." Mittelt whispered.

Even though her words were almost inaudible, Light caught them, choosing not to comment.

Soon after, the three fallen angels finished creating a barrier around the entire abandoned church.

━━━━━━━━

Hours later, inside the old deserted church, Light settled into a chair. Nearby, Asia, Raynare, Kalawarna, and Mittelt lay exhausted on the ground.

Occasionally, Light cast teasing glances, mainly at Raynare, who, trying not to show irritation, shot back covert looks. However, her expression revealed good humor.

Ever since Raynare was endowed with the Light Dragon's Lacrima by Light the previous day, there had been a noticeable increase in her strength. If previously her power hovered around 20 points, it now easily surpassed 50 and was still rising.

Moreover, among them, Raynare excelled in mastering Haki.

Could it be because she's now a Dragon Slayer?

This possibility reinforced his decision to teach and train Raynare in Haki.

However, he hadn't given up on instructing Asia, Kalawarna, and Mittelt. Even if they didn't exhibit the same natural talent as Raynare in this area, he was still determined to train them. After all, just a few encouraging words from him could elevate them for a long time!

Especially someone like Asia. A young girl with a sweet and naive nature, who is contented with simple gestures, wasn't complicated to manage. Well-chosen words and kind treatment would be more than enough to win her over.
