"Why do you say that, Raynare?" Light asked, seriously.
Before answering, Raynare turned to Mittelt: "Go and see if the two are alright."
"Yes~" Mittelt cast a meaningful glance in the direction of the two and left with a knowing expression.
After Mittelt left, Raynare turned her full attention to Light.
"Actually, it's just a hunch of mine," Raynare said. "My superiors, who suddenly stopped contacting me, have asked me to return to the Grigori. It may seem like little, but it could be my instinct speaking; I just feel that this time I'm not being called back just to catch up or receive another mission, as they could very well ask me to do something without having to call me back to Grigori."
As she finished speaking, Raynare bit her thumb reflexively, her intuition telling her that the call to return was not of a trivial nature.
Hearing this, Light exhaled deeply, a sigh of relief evident on his face.
"Actually," Light said, "I think I know why you're being called back to Grigori."
"Huh?" Raynare asked. "What's the reason?"
'Could it be possible that Light has his own spies within the very headquarters of Grigori?' Raynare wondered, intrigued by the reach of his information.
Seeing the look of doubt and curiosity on her face, he said, "Mm, keep this between us..."
As she leaned closer, he whispered in her ear, "I won't go into details, but it's probably because of the three factions — Devils, Fallen Angels, and Angels — wanting to form an alliance. As for why you're being called back, I assume that perhaps Azazel thinks you might end up affecting the chance of this peace agreement happening; I bet that at this moment, not just you, but most, if not all affiliates of Grigori, have been called back."
Light saw that this would happen not long after Issei became a Reincarnated Devil. Not only that, now that he had stolen Issei's Sacred Gear and theoretically Raynare, a Fallen Angel, was the one who killed Issei, Azazel must be wanting to prevent the Fallen Angels from affecting the possibility of the peace agreement coming to fruition.
Although this matter had not been addressed in the plotline he knew from Issei, Light reflected that this was because Issei simply wasn't capable enough to know about it. Indeed, after the first two attacks that Issei suffered, until the end of Raynare in Issei's storyline, no Fallen Angel appeared again to attack Issei, until Kokabiel appeared because he did not want peace.
His attempt to start a new war, however, was thwarted by Vali Lucifer. As for what happened to him afterward, there was no information in Issei's storyline; Light assumed that he was imprisoned or something of the sort.

"A peace agreement?" Raynare raised her voice. "How can he want to make a peace agreement with those..."
Light interrupted her: "Raynare!"
"Yes!" She responded reflexively.
Light sighed and then said more softly: "Don't do anything, just let it happen, okay?"
Although not very happy about it, Raynare still agreed. She still had a certain level of loyalty to Azazel, so even though she was not pleased with the possibility of having a peace agreement, especially with the Devils, she would still listen if Light told her not to do anything that would interfere with Azazel's plans.
Of course, all of this is based only on the premise that Azazel and the other faction leaders have already discussed the peace agreement. Theoretically, Light believed this to be true, since such an important matter couldn't just emerge out of nowhere and happen. Light believed that, long before making the peace agreement, they must have had numerous debates until reaching a consensus.
"So should I, Mittelt, and Kalawarner heed the call?" Raynare sought his opinion.
Honestly? Although Light thought his theory was possible, it was still, after all, just a theory. If they returned, it was hard to say what would actually happen to them.
Reflecting on this, Light said, after considerable thought: "Actually, I might be wrong. So, I'll leave this up to you. Give one to Mittelt and another to Kalawarner."
Seeing the card with a symbol of a tree and a green snake eye in the bottom right corner, Raynare frowned.
"What is this?" She attempted to guess: "Something like a lifesaver?"
"Exactly," said Light, without elaborating further: "Use it only if absolutely necessary, as it's very rare. However, if you're in a life or death situation, don't hesitate to use it. When activated by imbuing your sacred power into the card, it will react and automatically send you to a safe place."
He couldn't say it wasn't rare, after all, it was something that only he possessed. This card would send them directly to his [Inner World] and was single-use. It cost him 50 Destiny points each. It wasn't exorbitant, but it wasn't exactly cheap either.
But, since they helped him accumulate so many points, he still thought they were worth it, especially Raynare, who was now his woman.
"Light-sama..." Raynare was moved.
The warmth and excitement consumed her to such an extent that the idea of giving in to passion, tearing Light's clothes off, and having sex like two wild, untamed animals, assailed her!
Seeing her like this, Light wasn't scared, but he couldn't deny being a little surprised.
Using the 'Light Ferry', Light touched her head.
The next moment, Raynare, who was almost being controlled by her sexual impulses, came back to her senses.
"What was I about to do..."
The power of the Light Ferry was quite miraculous; the moment it was used on her mind, she returned to her senses.
However...
'I'm so aroused...' She thought, biting her lower lip while looking at Light with obvious desire.
Seeing her squirm, Light knew this 'problem' needed to be addressed.
"Let's go to a hotel." Light whispered in her ear, before kissing her lips.
"Yes..." Watching Light move away, Raynare followed him promptly, flying through the sky.
Before leaving, Light left a message on the ground written with the power of light.
[Something urgent came up, we'll be back later.]
In the end, Mittelt was indeed casting that knowing look at them before she left, something was bound to happen...
Well, as for what they would really assume Light and Raynare were going to do, he didn't care.
The important thing was for them to pretend they didn't know; in fact, even if they didn't pretend, he wouldn't react much to it.
As for the reason for wanting to go to a hotel and not stay there? Well, if they went to a hotel, they could expand the options, like for instance, a hotel with a jacuzzi...
