-----------
Long black hair spread over the white sheets, as the girl made peaceful snoring sounds whilst hugging the pillow with her slender arms.
“Nova wake up” a mesmerizing sound came through the thin rosy lips of a gorgeous girl with fierce steel blue eyes.
But the girl in subject just turned over to the other side, with a clear intention of not arising anytime soon.
Watching this, a vein popped on the tall girl’s head, “You’re the one who wanted to train with me in the mornings, and now you are not even waking up.”
Pulling the sheets hard, Aurora made the sleeping girl spin out of the bed onto the wooden floor.
“Ah!! It’s so cold!!”, Nova shrieked as she fell with a thump.
“Hurry up, and get ready,” Aurora said to the drowsy girl.
However, Nova asked in a pleading tone, “Please let me sleep a little more, just 10 more minutes?”
But Aurora just looked at her with dead pan eyes, and commanded, “Get ready now.”
“Yes!!”, quickly jumping to her feet, Nova dashed out of the room to wash her face.
It has been almost 5 years since Aurora’s awakening ceremony. She had grown more beautiful over the years, and her figure now resembled a teenager rather than a 10 year’s old girl.
Standing outside, she waited for Nova who came tumbling while fixing her hair into a ponytail. Nova would often sleep with her, not like Aurora had any complaints, on the contrary it felt nice to have a soft hug cushion. She scanned her friend who was was still a head shorter than herself, but one look, and anyone could tell that she would grow up into a beauty too.
“Let’s go before we lose anymore time,” Aurora started running at her usual pace, but when she looked behind, Nova was already panting heavily while stretching her hands for help.
As she slowed down to let Nova catch up to her, she asked, “Are you alright?”
Gasping for air, Nova frowned while accusingly pointing at her, “You are just too fast.”
Realizing her mistake, that Nova’s stats were like any other average person, Aurora hastily apologized, “Sorry Sorry, here I’ll slow my pace down to match yours.”
“Muu..Now you’re making me sound like I’m a weak little girl”, Aurora just retorted in her mind, ‘yeah you are’
Not wanting to look frail in front of her best friend, Nova quickly chanted a spell,
“O help me oh great winds to swiftly reach my destination, Light Steps”
Nova’s weight became less as winds propelled near her feet. Running at full speed, she left behind a surprised Aurora in dust.
Quickly turning around to face Aurora, Nova showed her tongue in a teasing manner, “Catch me if you can!!”
Without even responding back, Aurora bent her body into a sprinting position. As she looked up at Nova with a menacing gaze, she whispered, “Now you’ve done it”
Watching her friend turn into an enemy, Nova got shivers down her spine as she started running again.
After a few minutes of running, she was about to reach the clearing. Glancing behind she couldn’t see Aurora anywhere, but before she another step on the wet grass, someone tackled her from the side.
“Caught you”, Aurora said smiling in victory as she ruffled Nova’s hair.
Nova already knew that she couldn’t win against her friend, so she just accepted the punishment or rather it was a reward for her.
Before she could indulge anymore in her petting session, Aurora asked, “When did you learn that spell?”
Nova made a triumphant pose as she freed herself, “Though it took me some time, but I finally learned it yesterday from my dad.”
Remembering that Nova’s father, Errick, was an elf, and moreover a scout, Aurora nodded in understanding.
“Alright let’s start our daily practice”, Aurora started stretching, as Nova started concentrating in deep thoughts.
Nova had her awakening ceremony shortly after Aurora’s. It was found that she could use magic, but not to the point of garnering any extra-ordinary attention, but Nova was satisfied with it. It was oblivious that being a half-elf, she got her magic talent from Errick, as she had medium affinity with wind.
As Aurora started practicing her usual Karate, and Tae-Kwon-do techniques, Nova opened her eyes while looking at the precise yet graceful movements of her friend.
“Hey Aurora, where did you learn those fighting methods?”, Aurora suddenly came to halt with her right leg still pointed up at the sky.
“Umm you know….ah yes I read about these in the library, yes in the library,” Aurora said reassuring herself. Watching this, Nova just shrugged her shoulders at Aurora’s secretive behavior.
They resumed their practice, Aurora kicking the trees now in moderation, and Nova in turn chanting basic wind spells like wind blade also at the poor trees.
Over the past four years Aurora would sometime venture in the forest near the clearing, but of course stealthily. She had killed over a few dozen wolves, that had low levels like 10-15. Even if she was level one, her stats were far above anything in the outer region of the forest. So she little to no problem in them, but sometimes she also got in trouble when she got bit or clawed.
Her training outfit would end up in tatters sometimes, colored in blood. But it was all good, as she was now level 25.
With her health regeneration, she didn’t have to worry about the small injuries as they healed up in a little bit of time. But she had to wash her clothes at the nearby river, and make excuses to her mother for how she ended up like that.
After an hour of their daily training, Nova suddenly asked Aurora, “Are you not going to practice your sword skills today?”
“No, dad said that he would teach me some more in the afternoon today, so I thought I would practice them later,” Aurora replied while steading her breathing.
Not only in hand to hand combat, Aurora had also started learning fighting with melee weapons like swords, and pole arms. She knew that the weapon in her inventory was a battle-axe but she couldn’t find some one who could teach her fighting with those.
Watching the sun rising up the zenith, Aurora said, “I think it’s enough for today.”
Nova wiped the sweat off her forehead, and approving Aurora that they should go now. They made their way back into their respective homes, through the streets as people greeted them. They were like celebrities in their small town. One was cute droopy emerald eyed girl who could use magic, while the other with above average stats was turning into a peerless beauty.
As Aurora took a quick bath, she started dressing up, but not before she paused a bit to look down at her budding chest.
‘Sigh…I need to make a bra for myself not like I know how to make one….’
Aurora had seen her mother wearing strapping around her bosom, and in her opinion that looked painful.
‘I guess I’ll learn tailoring for Nova’s mom’, Jane was a tailor herself. She would make clothes on personal requests because she didn’t own a shop.
She wore a white full sleeves shirt, and a frilly dull black skirt that covered her proclaim white thighs. The contrast made her loveliness stand out even more, as she wore a black apron over the top, and tied her hair into a high ponytail with silver bangs covering her forehead.
As she came through the door that connected their home to the inn, she greeted her mother, Grace, who was behind the front desk.
“Oh my you are back from your training,” Grace scanned her daughter from head to toe, “You look beautiful no matter what you wear.”
Aurora was happy at the praise; even if she was a guy in her previous life, she had come more or less with the terms of her current situation.
“Thank you mom,” she replied smiling. As she looked around, there were only a few people inside eating breakfast.
“Oh sweety, there was a customer who wanted his food delivered to his room,” Grace said remembering what the middle aged man had asked.
“Okay mom, which room is it?”, their inn had two floors, and the upper one had a total of 10 rooms for the visitors to rent.
“It’s room no. 5,” Grace said as Aurora made her way to the kitchen where her father, Marcus, was cutting vegetables.
Looking up to the sound of steps coming his way, Marcus smiled, “Aurora, you ready for work?”
“Yes dad, by the way where is the breakfast for room no. 5?”, Aurora inquired as she spotted the plate filled with food, and a glass of water.
“Is it that one?”, she moved to pick up the stuff as Marcus answered, “Yeah”
Coming in front of the door which had a number 5 carved on it, she knocked lightly while carrying the plate with her left hand.
Aurora waited for a moment, but she didn’t get any response, so she knocked again albeit a little hard while shouting, “Your food is here!”
She could hear someone cursing behind the door in muffled voice, but suddenly the door creaked a bit, showing only the face of a man that had sweat flooding down his face. He had an uneasy look as if he was doing something he was not supposed to.
Grabbing the plate, even without sparing a word of gratitude, the man quickly closed the door with a bang.

Aurora stood quite for a while, but shrugged off as it was not her business.
Moving downstairs, she started working again, taking the orders of the customers. There were times where a guy or two would try to hit on her, even go as far as trying to grab her arm not realizing the fact that she was only about 10 years old.
But to their dismay, Aurora was not a frail maiden who liked to get on hit on by guys; if it were girls than that would be a different case. So she would either give them a warning of sorts, if you count breaking a finger or two as a warning that is.
But in most cases, before she would be able to do anything, Marcus would come running out of the kitchen with a knife in his hand, yelling “How dare you touched my daughter!!!”, and throw them out of the inn.
…….
It was getting late in the afternoon, and the inn was a little less lively. Aurora had taken off to meet Jane to learn a bit of tailoring, but not before telling Marcus that she wouldn’t be able to train with him today.
As she moved through the streets, all the eyes would seem to get attracted towards her. Her flowing silver hair, her cream white skin, and her out of the world facial features with her steel blue eyes; anyone would feel falling for her.
She made her way to a modest home, near the front of the town; their inn was a little in the middle and the forest was in the back.
Nova was outside the house, watering the flowers. Aurora sneaked around from behind, casting a shadow on Nova.
Surprised a bit, she quickly turned her head, but as soon she saw Aurora smiling at her, Nova beamed a brilliant smile of her own.
“Aurora, did you come here to play?”, Nova asked while hopping to her feet.
“As much as I would like to play, I’m not here for that”, Aurora denied, as her gaze wandered inside the house, “Where is your mom?”
“Mom is inside making lunch”, Nova said a bit dejected.
“Let’s go inside, I want her to teach me some tailoring skills”, Aurora pulled the sulking Nova along with her into the house.
Greeting Jane who was cooking, Aurora asked, “Aunt Jane, can you teach me tailoring skill?”
Jane was a bit surprised at Aurora for asking something like that, because she had seen Aurora training with swords and other gear.
“Oh my, I didn’t know you were into girly stuff like tailoring” Jane giggled, as Aurora got rosy cheeks.
Looking down a little bit, she pushed the tips of her forefingers against each other in front of her chest, while stuttering, “It’s…not like that…I just want to make some undergarments…”
The last bit of her mumbling went unheard, as Nova also started chuckling watching her usually passive friend getting this flustered.
“Alright I’ll teach you the tailoring skill, but first let me finish this” Jane said, as she resumed her cooking.
“Aunt I’ll help you”, Aurora started washing the vegetables, and Nova joined her too.
….
The sun was starting to set down. Jane had showed Aurora the basic methods to sew, and how to use scissors properly etc. etc.
“You are really a genius to get this far in one day,” Jane was surprised to see that Aurora had already got the tailoring skill in a few hours of practice, usually it would take a week.
“No no, It’s just that Aunt Jane is really good at teaching” Aurora was not sugarcoating, Jane was really proficient in tailoring.
“Fufu..thank you for the flattery, but I think we should finish here for today, if you want to learn more, you can come back again anytime,” Jane smiled happily.
But the mood suddenly turned 180, when they heard the town emergency bells. They started hearing noises from outside.
Quickly moving outside, they could see smoke rising from a distance. It was in the direction of the inn.
Many people were running screaming for help. Grabbing the arm of a nearby scared man, Aurora asked, “What’s happening?”
“You don’t know!!! It’s a King Bear!!!”
Aurora quickly remembered what she had read once about King bears in the library. They were ferocious beasts like bears, around the level of 80-90, who walk on two hind legs.
‘Huh, King Bears are only found in the deep elven forests, how come they are here?’
She was quickly pulled out of her thoughts, as she heard more screams coming from the direction of her house.
Moving back into Jane’s house, Aurora picked up a short sword; it was definitely Errick’s. But before she could take a step further, Jane moved in front of her, blocking her path.
“I know you’re strong, but you won’t be able to handle it. Let’s go outside the town, don’t worry there are many strong people here”
Jane tried to pull Aurora with her, but Aurora had already blurred out of her sight. She heard her whisper clearly, “I’m sorry but I need to make sure my family is safe.”
Aurora passed the many injured people who were trying to get away from the walking disaster. Running at her full speed, she prayed in her mind, ‘Please be safe’
But as soon as she reached her final destination, she felt weak in her legs. A part of the inn was on fire, but it was still better than the rest of the houses nearby which had been completely obliterated by the monstrosity in front of her.
Her mother, and father were laying sprawled on the ground a little far away from the inn, covered in blood.
Looking at them, her eyes started getting wet. While she stumbled towards their bodies, tears flowing down her face, “mom….dad…”
But before she could shorten the distance between them, the King bear slashed across her body with its long claws.
The world turned crimson. She was tossed across into a building with full force.
Laying in rubble, her mind started wondering, ‘It was so peaceful just a moment ago……’
‘Why is the world so unfair….why does it always the hurt the ones I love?’
‘no no….i refuse to accept this….’
‘i…’
‘I’ll….’
“I’ll Kill YOU!!!!!!!!”, she let out a terrifying cry, as a window popped in front of her.
Skill Name:Skill Rank:Skill Level:Skill Experience:War Cry (Active)S00%Doubles your attack speed, while slowing down the enemy movements by 50% for 30 seconds . Cost- 200 stamina points AOE-30 meters
Grabbing the short sword that fell a few meters away from her, Aurora jumped at the now sluggish mass of fur.
But as she swung her sword across its face, the sword broke into two pieces.
‘It’s skin is too resilient’ she cursed in her mind as she leapt again towards the head avoiding the jaws.
The movements were drastically slowed down, but still it was a level 90 monster. Seeing the chance Aurora stabbed the broken end of the sword deep into the left eye of the King bear.
‘Not deep enough’, Aurora quickly used haste and strengthen on herself.
Somersaulting back a short distance away from the monster, she started running leaving afterimages in her wake.
As she closed onto the giant, she jumped with such explosive power that the hard ground cracked under her feet, leaving a crater around 2 meters in depth.
The monster felt the bloodlust, and power excluded by the small girl, and its instincts screamed for it to avoid the strike, but it’s fate was already sealed the moment it hurt Aurora’s family.
Aurora’s knee made contact with the lower jaw of the bear, and the sound of shattering bones could be heard. The red eyes of the monster turned white, as it started falling backwards in a stiff posture.
But the airborne Aurora wasn’t going to show any mercy. She stretched her right leg upwards in front her face, and as soon as she started descending, she swept her leg downwards towards the face of the giant who had fell with a thud.
A disgusting noise was heard; the sound of something soft splattering. Aurora’s foot was on the sword’s handle that was lodged a moment before in the monster’s eye, but now it dug deep into the ground.
Aurora looked down at her feet; only some brain mush was there, and the monster’s face was beyond recognizable.
Feeling the relief of killing the one who had hurt her family, all the strength in her body left. This all happened under 30 seconds.
She fell forward, onto the bloody ground that she had created.
‘Looks like I lost too much blood…’, she thought as her consciousness faded away.

Cliffhanger again!!! You demon!!!
As you have seen i didn't make any stats tables in this chapter, I'm just too lazy for that. But I'll try to make one for Aurora in the next chapter or two. However, i want to make an important announcement; i won't be able to release chapters like i did before. 1 chapter every week is my goal now, but I'm actually not sure about that too. Life is hard for a college student as you might know, but I'll try to write whenever i get the time. I had already said this before that I'm writing this ff for fun, so the plot might have some holes here and there undefined
