AN- Bum Dum Tss! Grammar-Check, Vocabulary-Check, Sentence formation-Check, oh i forgot to add 'Terrible' in front of each. BTW i'm really good at making excuses, and listen to this, i wrote this chapter yesterday in 5 hours, 6258 words to be exact. I was really busy, and only yesterday at night i got some free time to write, and after typing, typing, and some more typing...the result, a special valentine's day chapter; that's unedited, and the quality might be really bad. But i wanted it to post today, on Valentine's day, so yeah sorry for the rush.
I'm sure some would say, 'why this chapter, and not the main story?' TBH, i'm just like my readers, no different, and I couldn't get the Ash X Katherine route out of my head. Think of it as Steins; Gate, another timeline :P.
Oh and a heads up, Jane in this chapter is the name of katty's friend, not Nova's mother. I know my poor naming sense, you don't need to remind me.
------POV- ASH------
“Arghh this hurts”, Ash fell down on his knees as he pressed lightly the wound on his chest.
Looking at the blood dying his white uniform completely red, he thought it was his end. But surprisingly, Katherine quickly came beside to support him.
She was crying, he could tell from the warm droplets that fell down on his face. His eyes threated to close, but his will kept him alive.
“No please *sob* don’t die *sob*,” her tiny voice came through her dry quivering lips.
Gazing at the pitiful appearance of the girl, he tried to lift the heavy atmosphere, “Hehe..who said I’m gonna die, I still…arghh...haven’t given the present to my mom.”
A bit of blood leaked through his cynical smile, Katherine only chided him not to speak.
“Please don’t!”, she controlled herself, and pulled out a handkerchief, and pushed against the bullet wound.
Ash gritted his teeth, and kept the groaning to minimum. Even if Katherine didn’t know anything about first aid, she wanted to stop the blood flowing out.
He pushed himself to rest his back against the fissured alley wall with the girl’s help.
‘God damnit…where are the cops when you need them the most,’ as if hearing his inner thoughts, the sound of police sirens rang through the narrow alley.
Soon he could see the flashing red and blue lights with his barely conscious self.
“…ha…get their..ha..help..,”Ash panted as his breath got short with every passing moment.
Reluctantly Katherine got up, but not before giving him a last longing look as if he would disappear before she could come back.
The noise of footsteps faded away as Ash closed his tired eyes, letting his head rest against the cold wall.
Relieved that help has arrived, he suddenly felt all the adrenaline leave his body. The pain in his body made him groan, but his mind got hazier from all the loss of blood.
‘hmm I feel so sleepy….mom will wake me up in the morning again….I should sleep now….’
------POV- Katherine-----
Running through the alleyway with all her might, she saw the rays of hope in front of her.
The cops were lazily checking out the empty black car with their flashlights, while the rescue crew was sitting in the ambulance behind the cop cars.
Noticing someone coming out of the dark alley, they all became alerted, and pointed the lights at her.
“Help..please…,”she tried to plea for help while catching her breath.
The cops quickly got to action as they pulled out their weapons as they saw the girl’s dress covered with blood.
Three of the five men, came near her to access the situation, but Katherine was not in the mood of wasting any more time,
“Please my classmate got shot, and is bleeding further down the alley, you need to help!!” she almost shouted the last words, panic visible on her face as she kept glancing back towards Ash’s direction.
One of the men noticing the begging look of the young girl, yelled towards the ambulance,
“Get the medics here now! We got an injured kid!”, not even a second later, a man, and a woman in dark blue paramedic uniform came to check on her.
The cop then looked at the two men beside him, and motioned them to go into the alley.
As they started checking for any injuries, Katherine confused, didn’t understand for a moment,
“No, no I’m not the one who is injured! Ash is the one who is hurt!”
The old cop looked at the girl again, and then suddenly heard some noise in his radio,
“Sir, we got 4 unconscious men, most likely the ones we heard in the report, and a dead man. There’s a boy who’s is bleeding out but not responding to anything, we need immediate medical help.”
The old cops narrowed his eyes, and shouted again at the medics beofre jogging towards the scene,
“Get a stretcher, and follow me now!”
Katherine who was being helped by the other two cops, quickly took off behind the old man. The cops could only yell behind her to stop, but she didn’t listen.
Arriving at the scene, she saw the old cop making an astonished face, while the medics were checking on Ash who had his eyes closed.
Thinking the worse had happened, Katherine bellowed out a cry as her feet shuffled to Ash. But the medics were professional, not even sparing a glance to the crying girl, they started their work.
“Patient has gun wounds near his heart, pulse is slowing down, major blood loss,” as the man accessed the situation, the woman pressed bandages over the injury on his chest, and right arm.
“His heart-beat is irregular; we need to get him to the hospital now!”
Hearing the man say that the situation was critical, Katherine who was somewhat happy that Ash was alive started worrying again.
They laid Ash onto the stretcher, and rushed back to the ambulance with Katherine in tow. As they got into back of the van, the medics placed a ventilator mask on Ash’s face, and attached some other medical equipment to check his pulse.
Katherine also got into the ambulance sitting near the back door, looking worriedly at Ash’s pale face.
As the vehicle started moving, the vital sign monitor started beeping. The three in the back looked at the machine, to their fear they saw numbers on the heart rate falling rapidly.
“Get the defibrillators! He’s going into cardiac arrest!”
Static noise dimmed down the sirens as the woman rubbed the defibrillators together. Cutting down in the mid from his neck to the further edge, the medic opened up Ash’s shirt revealing his well toned abs, and chest, painted red.
After quickly cleaning the blood, the lady medic gave a quick shock placing both the electrodes near his chest area.
Ash’s body rocked a bit, and the pulse started stabilizing again. Heaving out a relieved sigh, the two medics looked at Katherine, who was praying with her eyes closed, and hands joined.
“Miss, is he your boyfriend?”
At the words, Katherine’s eyes shot open, and she stuttered a bit, “no…No I’m not.”
“We need to know if he has any relatives, so we can contact them,” the medic asked hoping she would know someone, because the boy might need blood transfusion.
Regrettably, she could only shake her head again. Katherine had only heard just before Ash saying something about her mother.
Checking his pockets, the man found a wallet in Ash’s jacket. Inside he found a driving license permitted only for motorcycles. The cell phone had a screen lock, so they weren’t able to use that to find any contact, but the driver’s license had his address, and home phone.
After a few minutes of more turns, and speeding through the dimly lit streets, they reached the hospital. Meanwhile they had tried calling the Ash’s home, but sadly no one picked up. Thinking that his parents must be at work, they had contacted the school office to get his parents number, and relayed the news to his mother.
Opening the back doors, the nurses waiting outside quickly took the stretcher towards the emergency room. Katherine who was still beside Ash, was stopped by one of the nurses,
“Sorry, but you can’t go any further.”
She just nodded absentmindedly, and took a seat slowly on a nearby bench. As she got some time to calm down a little, she suddenly took out her cellphone.
‘Oh no..’
Looking through the texts, and missed calls that came from her mother, she became stiff. Just as she was trying to call back, another buzzing sound came from the cell phone.
Swiping her finger across the screen, she brought it to hear her mother’s worried voice yelling at her,
“Where are you, Katty?!! You know how many times I have called you!!!?”
Hearing her voice, Katherine abruptly broke out crying. While the two cops, who had followed, were about to ask her some questions about the incident but just stayed quiet, and looked at each other.
“Honey, are you okay?!! Did something happen???”
Katherine felt her mother’s anxiety. In a shaky voice, she told her everything, pausing to control her sobs sometimes.
After explaining what had happened, Katherine stopped crying and just listened to her mother,
“I’ll come right there in a moment, dear. Try to take some rest, ask someone there to help you if you need something. I’ll call your dad, I’ll hang up now,.. be safe, love you.”
“Okay mom… love you too”
Katherine looked at her the bright screen of her phone that stung her eyes. The other two cops had left as they had listened in, talking her about the incident, and left to come later as to give a moment of peace to her.
But before she could shut her tired eyes, she heard a woman’s flustered voice,
“Where’s my son?!! Where’s Ash?”
Looking in the direction, she saw a beautiful lady in her in early 30’s from what she could guess, but the important bit was what she had heard. The woman was holding a nurse by her arms, and asking her again, and again, while the said person was just confused.
Standing up from the bench, she hesitantly made her way to the supposedly Ash’s mother.
“Umm…excuse me…are you Ash’s mom?”, she asked tensely, fearing how she would tell that her son is in a life-death situation because of her.
“Yes! I’m Ash’s mother! Do you know where he is?! A man called me telling my son got injured or something….then I tried calling Ash’s phone but he’s not picking up…..please…please tell me where he is *sob*”
Ash’s mother pleaded with tears in her eyes. Katherine torn between her guilt, even when she knew that It was not her fault, and her burden to tell her the truth.
But watching the woman’s love for her child, she retold the incident but this time to the mother in front of her.
With every single passing word that reached her ears, the woman’s expression changed from anxious to pure terror.
“No..no it’s not possible...” Ash’s mother went weak in the knees, as she stared lifelessly in front of her.
Katherine also sat down on her knees, while begging for forgiveness, “I’m sorry *hic*”
Looking at the crying girl in front on her, Ash’s mother realized that it was not Katherine’s fault, and that Ash had saved her from a terrible fate.
“It’s okay…he has always been like that, my Ash, helping others every single day...…but still no parent should outlive their child.”
With a flare in her eyes, she shot up, helping Katherine to her feet. Katherine was surprised to see the sudden change, but didn’t say anything.
“My son is fighting a life and death situation, I just can’t sit here and cry” the woman smiled at Katherine. But Katherine could still see the worry etched in her eyes.
Nodding to the woman, they both sat on the bench nearby, and started praying of Ash’s safety.
…
After 4 hours of excruciating awaiting, the doors of the emergency room opened. Coming out of the room were smiling faces of nurses, and doctors.
“How’s my son!!?” .Ash’s mother hurriedly asked.
Assuming that the woman was the patient’s mother, the doctor in front replied smiling to ease her fear,
“He’s out of the critical condition, but he’ll need to be hospitalized for at least a month,”
“He’s really lucky, the bullet passed near his heart, if it was a mm closer…”, another one pitched in, and left them hanging.
Hearing the news, Ash’s mother, Riesa, started crying again, and repeatedly thanked them.
Katherine with her parents, who had arrived earlier, was also grateful. But for some reason, when her dad had arrived at the hospital, he made a surprised face, and so did Ash’s mother.
He had just thanked Riesa, and apologized for something, but Katherine could feel that he was not apologizing for this incident though.
When she asked about it, her father made a pained face, and only said, “I’ll tell you later…”
Back to the present, Ash’s mother was pleading to see her son,
“Can I please see him?”
“Yes, we are shifting him to his room now, but he’s still under the effects of anesthesia,” the doctor explained.
Soon they saw a stretcher coming out of the operation theater, Ash was in a light blue patient’s gown, with a ventilator mask, and some drippers attached to his left arm.
With sniffs, Riesa closed onto the sleeping Ash, and gently brushed away the black hair on his forehead.
The nurses pushing the stretcher gave them a moment, before Riesa nodded and walked alongside them to their room, leaving the others behind. But Katherine legs started moving on their own, following the disappearing back of Riesa.
….
-------- POV- Ash---------
“Ahem”, Ash cleared his throat, at the discomfort that he was feeling. It wasn’t something painful, in fact, any other boy would clearly enjoy the situation he was in, but Ash wasn’t like other boys.
Right now he was getting checked on by an average looking nurse in her 20’s. For some reason, the nurse would always tell him to open his shirt to ‘examine’ even when she would just use a stethoscope. Ash could understand the need to take off his shirt when they needed to change the bandages, but not when she would just be checking his heart beat or other things.
And again he could see the nurse drooling a bit, but when he scrunched his eyebrows, she wiped it off professionally.
“oh god…first time I get to see such a hot body; we always get old people….” She murmured under her breath, but Ash just gave a cheeky smile as he heard her.
Buttoning his shirt up, he heard a knock on the door. Suddenly the sour mood of the nurse perked up a bit, as she giggled a bit mocking him,
“Hehe looks like your girlfriend is here”
Ash’s left eye twitched a bit, but after suppressing his anger, he just sighed, “How many times do I have to tell you that she’s NOT MY GIRLFRIEND?”
He stressed on the last part making sure that she’ll understand, but to no avail, she just pawed like a kitten at his remark,
“Ahh you don’t have to hide it; she’s been coming here everyday for the past month to see you.”
Ash couldn’t deny the assertion. When he had first woken up, his mother, and Katherine with her parents were present there. To say they were happy would be a lesser statement.
In the first few days, his teacher, and a class representative had come to give him flowers for his recovery, and other stuff. But the visitors fell short after that, except for his mother, and Katherine. His mother had still her work to do at the restaurant so she would come everyday after her shift, while Katherine would come after school to spend some time with him.
The nurse opened the door for Katherine who was still in her school uniform, looking beautiful just like on any other day.
“I hope I’m not intruding,” she asked timidly looking at the nurse.
“Oh no, we just finished up the daily checkup,” she gave a wink to Ash, as she left the young ones to enjoy their private time.
“Hey Ash, how are you feeling today?”
She had grown confident over the past month; but before she would stutter at every other word while talking to him.
“Better than before Katty, I just can’t wait to get out of here.”
Ash had also gotten to know her better. In his opinion she was a nice girl, a little too pure to be honest.
“It’s only three more days right?”, she asked hoping that she was correct.
“Yeah, but I think I can leave today. They have already cut off the stitches, and I don’t feel any pain,” he said rotating his right shoulder a bit.
“No you should do as the doctor says, and stay here,” Katty lectured him.
They talked more about what was happening in the school, not like he really cared, but it was better the awkwardness that would come with the silence.
As the sun started hiding itself behind the horizon, Ash spoke up,
“I think you should leave now; it’ll get dark if you stay any late.”
But in his response, Katty made a reluctant face, and slowly whispered,
“Ash…I’ve to tell you something”
Was it the orange sun rays that fell on her face, or the girl herself was just so beautiful, Ash didn’t know but could only look at her in awe.
“I…I’m…”she stammered.
‘Is it what I’m thinking it is? Nah can’t be right, she just feels obligated to meet me because I saved her’
“I’m really sorry about what happened on that day in school, I shouldn’t have reacted that way.”
Katty apologized while biting her lower lip.
‘Huh ‘that day’? hmm if my memory serves me right, the only time I interacted with her at school was when she bumped into me….oh haha’
He started laughing abruptly, while Katty just looked perplexed at him.
Wiping off the tears near the edges of his eyes, he said, “You are really funny you know, I can’t believe you were still concerned about that, but don’t worry I’m used to it”
Hearing those words, Katty shouted, “Don’t say ‘I’m used to it’!”
Ash grew silent, and looked at the hurt expression she was making for him.
He just smiled at her, “At least you apologized, and that’s enough for me.”
Katherine looked down and then back into his eyes, and this time she blew the fuse of his mind by saying something outrageous,
“I love you”
“huh?....”, Ash made a stupid expression not expecting the confession.
“Umm I can wait for your answer…. if that is..”, Katty nervously spoke fearing that she might have made him uncomfortable, but to her relief Ash said,
“No it’s alright, I know I like you, but if it’s love or not..i don’t know, I haven’t fallen in love before, but if it’s alright,…. I don’t mind going out with you.”
While Ash was blushing a little, not expecting himself to say something like that, Katty was in her own dream world with stars in her eyes.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
In just a moment their relationship had changed from friends to lovers, and when she left for the day, Katty gave a longing look to Ash.
“I’ll see you later…”,Ash said a bit sad at her leaving, as she nodded closing the door behind her.
----- POV- Katherine-----
‘Oh God!!! I confessed to him!!’, she hugged the pillow tightly in her arms as she rolled over the bed in her pink pajamas.
The girl who had never dated before had suddenly blurted out her love to a boy. Receiving confessions was a daily occurrence for her, but the reverse never happened. Her cheeks dyed red as she thought about it.
The care-free smile that Ash had, when he had said ‘I’m used to it’, still stung inside her heart.
She was not sad for herself, but at the person who didn’t care about it anymore. And then in the heat of the moment she had blurted out her love to him.
But she remembered something which also pained her more. Back when she had come home with her parents from the hospital, her father had told them something that shook her world.
…
“You know what my job is, right?” Katty’s father asked her.
She looked at him a little confused, but gave the answer nevertheless, “You are a lawyer dad.”
He was not a drinker, but he poured himself a glass of whiskey, and pushed the sour liquid down his throat.
Sighing, he spoke up, “When you mother was pregnant with you, I was still an amateur lawyer…trying to bring justice to those who deserved it.”
He remised his past with a regrettable expression, “The woman you met at the hospital….whose son saved you…was the first case that I had ever handled..”
“She was raped by the same man that Ash saved you from…”, connecting the dots, her eyes opened wide.
“Nobody accepted her case, everyone knew that he was criminal..he had everyone under his control…with money…”
“I accepted it, because I wanted to bring him to justice….haha..justice” her father gave a dry laugh as her mother comforted him.
“But even the jury was bribed, and in the end he roamed the streets freely..until today,”
he smiled as he chugged down another glass.
Katty was distressed after hearing that, and had talked to Riesa after the incident many times, and came to know more about her. While Riesa would smile knowingly, whenever Katty would ask something about Ash.
Katty also had seen how Ash would talk with his mother; every single action, every single word would be filled with so much care, and familial love.
‘Would he love his girlfriend the same way? She would be so lucky....’ she longed for that love, and the pain that she had felt derived her into confessing.
Blushing deeply thinking about Ash again, she prayed,
‘I wish tomorrow comes sooner’
……
-------- POV- Ash --------
Turning off the T.V., Ash looked at the clock hung on the wall.
‘Shit,I’m gonna be late’
“Bye mom, I’m leaving for school,” he picked up his school bag, and started making his way towards the door.
“huh Ash? You still have time. Why are you going so early?”, Riesa questioned as he was leaving 15 mins earlier than usual.
Rubbing the back of his head, Ash tried to hide his blushing face, “I’m going to meet up with Katherine.”
“Heh, you better hurry up then, but be careful”, she smiled as she held the pendant that Ash had given her after the happening, on her birthday.
“Okay!!”, he yelled as he ran outside the house.
It was the first day of his school, after his release from the ‘prison’. He had promised to meet Katherine yesterday in front of her house.
After running about 10 mins, he reached her moderate house, which was quite close to his.
Standing before the door, he patted down his uniform to look a little presentable. He rang the bell, and he heard shuffling of feet from inside.
Not even a second later, Katherine opened the door with her schoolbag in her hand.
“Hey Katty, are you ready?”
Katty nodded her head, and locked the door behind her.
“Yeah, but are you sure you want to come to school right after your discharge?”, Katty asked a bit worried.
“I’m totally fine, besides I’m already tired of staying in the bed.”
“If you say so, but be careful”
‘Yes mom’, he wanted to say that but stayed quiet.
As they started slowly walking towards the school, Katty kept glancing towards Ash’s hand every now and then.
Without saying anything, Ash made a quick move, and held her left hand with his right one. Katty didn’t say anything, just held her blushing face down a little, and entwined her slender fingers with his.
The whole way to school, they didn’t talk much, but conveyed their feelings through their touch. Many students looked at the couple, but Ash along with Katty didn’t pay much heed to them.
But a single girl, made her way to them from behind,
“Ohoho, the heat is real here”
Recognizing the voice, Katty turned to look at her mischievous friend, Jane, who was grinning at her.
“Stop you tease”, Katty smiled in return.
Ash also smirked, and looked at the short bubbly girl. Apparently Katty had talked about Ash to her, and she had visited him too, joking with him all the time when she got to know that he was a kind guy with scary looks.
“Ah nothing can stop me now, you got a boyfriend to keep you warm, and here I’m still cold as the desert….*sob* *sob*”, she made fake sobbing noises. Clearly she should tone down watching dramas a little is what he thought.
“But aren’t deserts hot?”, Ash retorted.
“Hehe playing cool aren’t ya? I was talking about the desert at ‘night’ if you know what I mean?”, she elbowed him playfully with a mischievous smile.
Hearing this, Katty got red as a tomato, while Ash just gave a dry laugh.
“You should stop it now Jane, or she might faint from all the blushing,” Ash whispered as he looked at Katty.
“ Ky’ lets go or we might get late” Jane quickly skipped ahead, leaving Katty yelling at her,
“And whose fault do you think that would be!”
Ash smiled at the antics of the two, and followed behind Katty who chased after Jane.
Reaching the classroom, everyone looked at Ash, some with fear, and some with awe. Everyone at the school had most likely had heard about the news roaming around the couple, ‘the delinquent had saved the beauty’. But the downside was that they also had heard that in the incident he had killed someone while saving her. This caused a mix of reactions between the students, some feared him even more, while some saw him as a hero.
But be as it may be, he didn’t care at all. Ash was already used to people judging him by his looks, so someone calling him more names wouldn’t matter that much.
Katty who was at her side, held his hand tightly, and watching this, the same ‘prince charming’ that had tried to punch Ash on the day of the incident, fumed with anger.
“Hey murderer, you should keep your hands off Katherine,” he shouted as he made his way in front of them.
Katherine on other hand, scrunched up her eyebrows, “Who are you calling a murderer!? And he’s my boyfriend!”
Ash was a little surprised when Katty announced that they were in a relationship, ‘Well better sooner than later I guess’
But the guy made a sour face, and looked at them as if they were insects, “huh I didn’t think you were a bitch..”
Before he could say anymore, Ash held him by his jaw, forcing him to shut up,
“I don’t care what you say about me, but if you dare insult her.…..,” Ash closed in on his ear and whispered coldly, “your face will get uglier than it is now, got it?”
Nodding his head rapidly with fear in his eyes, he stumbled onto his butt as Ash let him go.
As the bell rang, signaling the start of the period, Ash looked towards Katty to make sure she was not upset, but Katherine gazed at Ash with starry eyes.
They both made their way to their seats, and Ash heard Jane say, “What a douche” to the slumped ‘prince’.
….
Ash almost slept through all the classes; as he had read most of the upcoming sections when he was at the hospital during his free time, there was nothing much to learn. It was lunch time now, the time he was looking forward too, as much as Katty who was glancing in his direction.
Getting up from her seat, he saw Katty moving towards him with a lunchbox, much bigger than her usual one.
“Ash, I made some lunch for you,” she fidgeted a little, but to say Ash was the happiest man in the world at that moment would be an understatement.
Quickly getting up, he beamed a smile at her, “I know the perfect place to eat, let’s go.”
Jane looked at the two love birds, and made her way towards the cafeteria, “I’m going to eat down in the hall, I’ll leave you two alone…hehe..try to control yourself, and I meant that to you Katty.”
Jane stuck her tongue out at Katty, who had steam coming out of her head. Ash tried to change the subject to not make her any more uncomfortable,
“Let’s go”
Katty got to her bearings, and followed Ash without questioning him. As they got to the top of the stairs, where there was no entry sign placed on the door, Katty got a bit uneasy, but Ash just opened the door; it wasn’t locked in the first place.
Feeling her worries, he answered, “Don’t worry the teachers haven’t found me coming here yet.”
Believing his words, they both sat down near a clean place near the large wired fence.
Ash held an anticipating gaze as Katty opened up her lunch box.
Katty slowly presented the food to him. With a bite of the crispy chicken, Ash smiled, and gave a thumbs up,
“You know I daily eat my mom’s cooking, and I must say, this is delicious”
Hearing those words from her boyfriend, Katty calmed down, and happily shoved more lunch into his box,
“Then don’t hold back, I made a lot”
That day Ash ate more than he ever had before, but it was a good sacrifice to make her girlfriend cheerful.
They talked more about this, and that, but as if remembering something, Katty asked him a question he dreaded the most,
“Hey Ash, the next class is swimming one right? And now I remember I haven’t seen you once in that class, since the school started.”
She asked as Ash got more and more stiff, “Well…you know..i don’t like swimming that much..”
Thinking that he was hiding something, she gave a questioning look.
“Alright, alright you win, I don’t know how to swim” he whispered at the end, while Katty made an astonished face.
“Really? You don’t know how to swim?”
Ash tried defending himself, “I never got the chance to swim when I was little, mom was busy with her work, and I didn’t want to burden her more.”
Katty felt terrible for asking that question, but resolved herself,
“You must definitely come to the class now, I’ll teach you.”
Ash was happy for the concern, but it was embarrassing to learn that in front of the whole class.
“It’s okay, you can teach me later.”
But Katty wasn’t taking a no for answer, “No, you’ll learn from me today”
Ash just sighed at his fate, and nodded weakly.
…..
‘God I hope I won’t make a fool out of myself’
Ash was standing alone in the dressing room; all the other boys had already left after changing. He looked at the blue swimming shorts, and with a sigh started undressing.
After changing, he got out of the room; everyone was already present at near the swimming pool. Some students were swimming, while some were waiting for their turns.
But when he entered everyone’s attention was focused on him, more like his body. Every girl was leering at him, while the boys were jealous. Most of the other boys were either skinny or fat, while some who were normal didn’t hold the muscles that Ash had.
It was not like he was overly buff, but just a like a fitness model, he had every cut in the right place. Even the female teacher who had a metal pea whistle in her mouth, dropped the whistle as her mouth opened wide.
Ash feeling the hyena like gazes wanted to cover himself, but as he looked over to Katty, he grinned. Like all the other girls, she was openly ogling him, but with a blushing face.
Making his way to the beautiful curvy girl in her school swimsuit, he jested,
“Are you gonna teach me how to swim or just look at me?”
Katty nodded but still in a daze. They got permission from the teacher, who more than happy to teach Ash, but the offer was strongly rejected by Katty.
….
After half an hour of light practice, Ash got a little hang of with the help Katty of course, who was proud at him for learning so quickly.
“Thank you for teaching me, if you need anything in return just tell me.”
At the word ‘anything’ Katty’s gleamed with happiness or was it something else, Ash couldn’t tell.
“Then…then I want to go somewhere with you on the next weekend”, she suggested.
“Sure, where do you want to go?”, Ash didn’t catch on the obvious thing she was asking for.
A little bit grumpy, “A date..”
“ ‘A’ what?”, Clueless when It came to subjects like this, because it was his first time, he asked again.
“I want to got on a date with you”, she was now blushing furiously.
“Oh.okay, then I’ll make a plan for it,” Ash tried to play cool; it’s the man’s duty to lead on a date.
Katty smiled at his words, while Ash was nervous thinking where he should take her for the date.
…..
Ash was standing in front a park where they had agreed to meet up. Wearing a new white shirt with blue jeans, that fit him well, he had come 15 minutes early before the arranged time.
Looking around he could see couples flirting all over the place. Checking his watch again, he heard a panting voice coming near him,
“Ha..ha..I’m not late, am I?”
Standing before him was Katherine, in a white frilly one-piece dress showing a bit of cleavage, and her milky white legs, and arms. Her shiny obsidian hair was curled at the ends flowing freely down her back, and some fringes covered her beautiful blue eyes.
Ash was speechless for a second, but quickly shook his head.
“Ah..no you’re 10 minutes early to be honest,” Ash replied.
Katty caught her breath, and smiled at him, while Ash unexpectedly said,
“And you look beautiful.”
The compliment made her blush, but she kept her calm, and linked arms with Ash as she came beside him pushing her chest into him.
“Thank you”
Ash nodded absentmindedly, enjoying the soft sensation. But recalling that they were on a date, he roamed in the mall nearby with her.
They stopped at many stores, looking through clothes for each other, accessories etc., but in moderation. Ash bought a blue bracelet with multicolored gems in it, while Katty gave a black denim shirt to him.
“What’s the next plan?”, Katty asked.
“Hmm we should eat something now, after that we can watch a movie,” Ash had researched a bit about things to do on date, and he went with the simplest plan for their first date. Better safe than flashy, was his slogan.
After eating their lunch at a restaurant, not a fancy one mind you, they both got into the cinema. Ash had booked two movie tickets before online; he had just searched for the best romantic movie that was up in the nearby theaters. He wasn’t a fan of this genre, but unpredictably the movie was better than he imagined it to be.
Katty was sniffing as they came out of the dark cinema,
“That *sniff* was so admirable; to sacrifice yourself for your lover,” Katty spoke, as she talked about the husband giving up his life to protect his wife from a snow avalanche in the movie.
“I can do the same you know,” he jested, but Katty took it seriously,
“No! I don’t want to lose you!”, she blushed at her own declaration. The same could be said about Ash, who was smiling, and showed his hand to Katty.
Understanding the meaning behind it, Katty held it tightly with her own. The sun had already set, and getting out of the mall they could see the first stars in the dark sky.
“I have a surprise for you,” Ash spoke mysteriously.
Katty gave him a curious look, but nonetheless followed in suspense.
As they climbed through the stairs, and some more paths that Katty was not familiar with, Ash stopped in a clearing on a higher ground than the rest of the city. There were no other people there, just the two of them alone.
Looking at the shimmering lights coming down, and above, she gasped,
“This is so pretty”, Katty remarked at the picturesque scene.
Ash was just standing proud beside her, looking between the city, and the beautiful girl.
As their eyes met, they both looked at each other for what felt like eternity. Slowly the distance between them closed, holding their hands tightly as if they would lose each other, they felt the warmth of their bodies.
Only a few inches away, their fiery breaths mixed together, the tips of their noses touched, as the soft lips pecked on each other. With one arm around her waist, Ash pulled the burning figure closer to spread the heat into his own self.
A moan escaped through the red ripe lips, as she looked at Ash with moist eyes. Closing the windows of her soul, she brought his face closer with her hands behind his head.
The soft brushes turned into deep loving kisses.
As if they were alone on this world, the distant noises of the city died, passionately pursuing each other.
After eating the fire that burned in them, they held their bodies together trying to calm down the soaring winds that escaped their lungs.
Peering into the eyes, they both smiled, blushing from ear to ear. Opening up her wet lips, she mouthed her feelings to him again,
“I love you”
His heart thumped loudly with her every word; the meaning of true bliss, he found at that moment, as his words etched deeply into the soul of the lovely girl in front of him,
“And I you…”
