As Vita slept, Mors transformed into his wolf form and stayed close, hugging Vita tightly.
The next morning at 7:35 AM, Vita woke up to find Mors in his wolf form next to him.
After looking around and realizing everything seemed normal, Vita decided to wake Mors up five minutes later.
At 7:40 AM, as Mors opened his eyes, he transformed back into his human form, clearly still sleepy.
Vita wanted Mors to rest a bit longer, but they were in a rush to reach the survivors. So, he quickly dressed the now-awake Mors.
They cleared their way out of the apartment using Mors's fire axe.
Once they reached the first floor, Vita carefully looked around while a map displayed on the system.
Mors didn’t transform back into his wolf form and remained in his human shape.
They cautiously moved to the side of the street, which was now completely ruined, filled with broken cars, dead bodies, and infected people in the nearby buildings.

They knew that the infection only roamed during the night, making daylight feel somewhat safer.
The survivors were a bit far away, and it would be a long journey to reach them.
Vita estimated that if they walked, it would take about a week, but he was unsure if the survivors could last that long, especially after encountering a horde of infected individuals the night before.
“The survivors are going to take a week to get to,” Vita said.
“What’s the problem?” Mors replied, still groggy.
“Last night, I saw a horde of infected moving in our direction through the window before we went to sleep,” Vita explained.
“Fuck,” Mors exclaimed.
“The streets are full of wreckage and broken cars, so we can’t use a vehicle to get there,” Vita added.
“FUCK,” Mors said angrily.
Vita sensed movement nearby.
“Danger,” he whispered to Mors.
Both fell completely silent.
Mors used his keen animal ears to listen for any sounds.
“Uhhhhhghhhh,” came the low moan of an infected person.
Vita immediately recognized the sound and fired a shot from his gun.
“Pyew!”
He hit a headshot, instantly killing the zombie.
Mors asked, “Why did you kill it?”
“The noise would have attracted more attention to us,” Vita replied.
“Okay, but next time inform me,” Mors said.
