The room fell silent as Vita and Mors exchanged glances. Suddenly, a voice from the system echoed, “You have 24 hours to prepare before you are summoned to Earth.” Confused, they looked at each other and noticed wolf ears and tails beginning to appear on their bodies.

They asked the system, “Why do we have wolf ears and tails?” The system replied, “You have them because they help support your body and animal form. Only you two can see them; humans on Earth are unable to perceive them. However, both you and humans on Earth can feel them if you touch them.”

Vita had a white tail and fluffy ears, while Mors had black ears and a tail.

Realizing their situation, they thought, “The system can think on its own,” and Mors became very playful.

Mors reached out and touched Vita’s tail, feeling its softness.

“It’s uncomfortable having these animal parts on me,” Vita said.

“It’s not that bad,” Mors replied with a smile, feeling somewhat mischievous.

And so, the 24-hour countdown began.

For the first four hours, they talked about what had happened while they were apart.

Then, they spent another eight hours improving their new skills and abilities and learning new knowledge from the system that might help them.

When the clock hit twelve hours, they decided to rest after being very playful and affectionate with each other, knowing that the gods weren't watching them.

Meanwhile, the gods believed it was a bad idea to send someone from Hell and someone from Heaven together on a mission to save humanity.

They took an hour to rest, and Vita attempted to nap on a bed he had found. He lay down and tried to sleep but couldn’t fall asleep.

Mors moved closer and nestled next to Vita on the bed. They both looked at each other.

Sensing Mors's intentions, Vita said, "Don't think about it." Mors replied, "Can I? It’s been so long," while playfully touching Vita.

Vita pushed Mors away and said, “Not right now,” in a lighthearted tone.

Mors blushed and stopped.

After their hour of rest, they resumed training and learned many new things, such as how the system can provide information that is very useful but cannot offer physical help.

The system announced, “You will be teleported with nothing.”

“Nothing? We need to scavenge for weapons,” Mors thought, strategizing.

“We're ready,” Vita said.
