Hogwarts' Niffler: All I Need Is Galleons
Chapter 44 - Business is booming!

Chapter 44 - Business is booming!

The coin pouch was about the same size as the previous ones, roughly palm-sized, but the fabric was more exquisite than the others.

Next to the pouch were many packaged herbs.

Hoare hefted the pouch in his hand, misjudging the weight and almost dropping it.

Feeling the substantial heft in his hand, Hoare couldn't help but smile happily.

Instead of opening the pouch first, he opened the envelope.

The letter was simple, stating that due to the explosive sales of potions, the first batch had sold out in just half a month.

This was Hoare's share of the profits from the first batch of potions and the material costs for the second batch.

The first batch of potions was a trial sale, with a total of five thousand bottles produced. After deducting the costs of raw materials and marketing, the profit was in Gold-Galleons.

The initial version of the short-term Squib Potion had an effective period of up to a month. To save unicorn blood, Hoare eventually chose to dilute the potion.

Except for the unicorn blood, the other raw materials were quite common, so the costs weren't high.

As the developer and producer, Hoare took sixty percent of the profits.

Adding the 1000 Galleons for raw materials, the pouch contained a total of Gold-Galleons.

No wonder it was so heavy.

Hoare took the letter, pouch, and herbs back to his dormitory.

He sat on the floor, opened the pouch, and poured out all the coins.

"Clink, clink, clink."

The sound of coins pouring out continued, as if the pouch was a bottomless pit.

Before long, Hoare's hand was exhausted. Though the pouch had shrunk in size, its weight remained unchanged.

Hoare simply cast a Levitation Charm, letting the pouch pour itself out while he studied the herbs that came with it.

About ten minutes later.

The pouch finally emptied the last Galleon.

A small mountain of Galleons appeared on the carpet.

"Upgrade spells, Metamorphmagus, talent level, learn Occlumency, Disillusionment Charm."

During the Quidditch match, although Hoare didn't find anyone, he estimated with eighty percent certainty that it was Quirrell.

He was like an indestructible cockroach, haunting persistently.

That's why Hoare asked Snape, the headmaster, for permission to access the restricted section.

After an all-nighter, Hoare finally found some clues.

Apparently, because Quirrell's decaying body could no longer be considered human, physical damage couldn't truly kill him. The effective method was exorcism.

However, the exorcism methods Hoare knew from China could handle the weakened Number 1, mainly because it was unexpected and caught him off guard.

But for Number 2, even if it worked, he would be prepared, making it ineffective.

Exorcism spells in the wizarding world require talent, usually passed down through family bloodlines.

But for Hoare, this was no problem at all; he just needed to upgrade his talent level.

The Metamorphmagus was because of Ollivanders.

Dumbledore, with his old cunning, wasn't surprised to see through Hoare not being Henry William, but Ollivanders also saw through it, which worried Hoare.

The reason for learning Occlumency was the same; Hoare suspected Ollivanders was a natural Legilimens, able to easily sense others' thoughts and personalities, like Queenie Goldstein.

As for the Disillusionment Charm, Hoare smiled slightly.

The school rules stated that no one could stay in the library after curfew, but the wise have their ways.

Hoare looked in the mirror but couldn't see any difference in the upgraded Metamorphmagus, except that his body seemed to have transformed into Henry William's.

He thought for a moment, why not take a spin in front of Dumbledore to test it out?

A free detector shouldn't be wasted.

Seeing it was getting late, Hoare changed into comfortable clothes and packed some food and drinks.

He planned to work overtime for the next few days, determined to find the exorcism spell before the Christmas holiday ended.

---

At night, Hoare was reading in the restricted section as usual.

The Disillusionment Charm was quite effective, as Madam Pince hadn't noticed him at all.

Hoare read quickly, with his S-level Mind Palace talent, once he read a book, it was like storing it in his mental library.

To find specific content, he just needed to search with keywords, and all related books would fly out, unfolding in his mind for quick reference.

Having finished this book, Hoare put it back, and then...

He touched a hot hand.

Hoare looked up to see two floating heads in the air.

Old acquaintances.

Harry Potter and his good brother Ron Weasley.

The two were also startled by the warm touch and almost screamed, covering their mouths to stifle the sound.

"It's me," Hoare said helplessly.

"Henry? Where are you?" Harry asked, holding up a lamp with Ron, searching for Henry but not finding him.

Hoare reluctantly lifted the Disillusionment Charm.

Harry and Ron watched as the air before them twisted, gradually revealing a person.

"What are you doing here!" Ron said indignantly. "Did you come to scare us on purpose?"

Hoare rubbed his slightly aching head. "You two are scarier, okay?" He gestured for them to look at their current posture.

Two floating heads in the air, and a hand holding a lamp with no arm, just a wrist.

Harry and Ron exchanged glances and laughed awkwardly.

Then they took off the Invisibility Cloak covering them.

Hoare curiously took it and examined it closely.

Ordinary Invisibility Cloaks, like those sold in shops now, were usually woven from Demiguise hair or ordinary cloaks enchanted with a Disillusionment Charm, expensive and single-use.

But Harry's was different; it could be used repeatedly and was hard to detect.

No wonder it was one of the Deathly Hallows.

If it could be replicated, even achieving just a tenth of this cloak's ability would be a fortune.
