Hogwarts' Niffler: All I Need Is Galleons
Chapter 21 - Oh, you want it too?

Chapter 21 - Oh, you want it too?

During dinner, Dumbledore announced that due to Professor Quirrell's injuries, all Defense Against the Dark Arts classes for the year would be temporarily replaced with other subjects, which would be announced later.

The change would last until Professor Quirrell recovered.

As he said this, Hoare felt that Dumbledore gave him a meaningful look.

What was he up to!?

Could it be that Dumbledore was worried he had gone to the infirmary to beat up Quirrell?

Even though he thought this, Hoare couldn't shake off the look Dumbledore gave him when he left that night.

He was wary of him.

Hoare didn't understand why. He was just an ordinary student, what was there to be wary of?

Dumbledore knew there was something unusual about his identity. He was acknowledged by Hogwarts, but as the headmaster, Dumbledore had plenty of ways to make things difficult for him.

He needed to find a way to ease Dumbledore's concerns about him.

Should he reveal he was a Weasley?

After all, the Weasley name stood for support and loyalty to Dumbledore.

No, it wasn't the right time yet.

The Squib Potion hadn't been fully developed and officially released.

If his family found out, with Arthur's and Molly's kindness, they might insist on giving it away for free to every Squib.

No, no, just thinking about that possibility made Hoare's heart ache.

He needed to delay, at least until the potion was released. After all, the potion wasn't finished yet, and Dumbledore wouldn't really turn against him.

With his thoughts sorted out, Hoare felt much better.

"Open the panel."

"Activate Quidditch talent, upgrade 200 points of magic."

There was a flying class this week, and Hoare was filled with anticipation. As humans, everyone dreams of soaring through the skies.

If possible, he wanted to play a game of Quidditch.

He had once had the chance to watch a Quidditch match with his family, and it was a sport that made your blood boil.

Who wouldn't want to play a game!

As for upgrading his magic level, Hoare had been studying potions and practicing spells lately. To be more adept, increasing his magic level was essential.

"Out of money again, need to speed up making money," Hoare muttered to himself.

---

Madam Hooch had gray hair and yellow hawk-like eyes, with a head of neatly cropped short hair and a no-nonsense demeanor.

Just like the class she taught, flying lessons.

After the class bell rang, Madam Hooch gave a brief greeting and stood at the other end of the lawn.

"What are you all waiting for? Everyone stand to the left of your broomsticks."

"Alright, move quickly, place your right hand over the broom."

"Then say 'Up.'"

The command for the broom was very simple, and Hoare almost immediately got the broom to respond to him.

It was like— a connection.

The broom understood his words, like an extra hand that he could control flexibly.

Hoare mounted the broom and began to rise slowly.

To be honest, not everyone could fly very high right away; there was still a bit of a psychological barrier.

As he enjoyed interacting with the broom, he heard a commotion nearby.

Hoare looked over and saw Neville Longbottom from Gryffindor, flailing around in the air like a Bludger.

Then he fell from a high tower, and Madam Hooch paused the class to take him to the infirmary.

Hoare was speechless. He had just started flying a little, and now Madam Hooch had paused the class, not allowing students to fly around.

As Hoare stood there with his broom, feeling a bit down, he heard a loud laugh, and he didn't even need to look to know it was Malfoy.

Malfoy was holding a ball and arguing with Harry in the air.

Hoare covered his forehead with his hand and looked up, squinting against the bright sun.

"Henry, could you help Draco? He's too impulsive, and I'm afraid he'll get hurt," Pansy said worriedly, tugging on Hoare's sleeve.

Hoare felt a pang of jealousy. Malfoy, an 11-year-old kid, already had a girl concerned about him.

He raised an eyebrow and looked Pansy up and down. Despite the freckles on her face, her features hinted at the beauty she would grow into.

Of course, the main thing was the yellow gemstone pendant around her neck, bigger than an egg.

"200 Galleons," Hoare extended his right hand.

Pansy nodded repeatedly, "I didn't bring it, I'll get it for you when we return to the dormitory," she said urgently.

"Put it on my tab, with a 10 Galleon interest," Hoare tilted his head, his cute face showing a sincere smile.

Pansy's face darkened, but she could only agree through gritted teeth.

"Don't worry, leave it to me, everything will be fine. I guarantee your Draco won't lose a single hair," Hoare said, grabbing his broom and soaring into the sky.

Pansy stomped her foot shyly, "Who's Draco? We just grew up together."

Hoare ascended and saw Draco teasing Harry with a crystal ball.

This scene...

Hoare suddenly realized, wasn't this the part where Harry got selected for the Gryffindor Quidditch team?

No, he couldn't let Harry get selected.

Although Hoare was all about making money and chose Slytherin for that reason, after spending time there, he had developed a small sense of belonging to Slytherin, about the size of a grain of rice.

Hoare remembered that ever since Harry Potter was selected, Slytherin hadn't won a Quidditch match.

That protagonist's halo was blinding!

Delaying it for a year would be a win.

"Draco, give it to me," Hoare reached out to Draco.

He saw Draco raise an eyebrow in surprise, as if shocked by Hoare's appearance, then his expression darkened.

Hoare guessed Draco's thought process and internally shouted 'Oh no!' This kid probably thought he was there to help Harry Potter!

Sure enough.

"Oh, you want it too?" Draco said arrogantly, shaking the glass ball in his hand, "Then go get it."

With that, Hoare saw Draco hurl the crystal ball forward with all his might.

Hoare's expression tightened, and he quickly mounted his broom to chase after it.
