Laura dived forward as if she were a rugby player towards the man and knocked him slightly off balance as her arms wrapped his waist from the side. She felt slightly sad for Kim and she didn't want to see her hurt.
"Kim run!" Laura shouted which brought Kim out of her daze as she saw her new friend fight for her while she just stood there feeling useless.
"Hurry!" Laura shouted again. The man regained his balance as he grabbed to pull Laura off but her fingers dug into his shirt as if she were a cat.
"Let go you bitch," the man shouted as he rammed his knee into her stomach. Laura felt her grip weaken as air and a little bit of blood were forced out of her mouth.
She felt herself slowly going in and out of consciousness.
"Please hurry...get help," Laura's voice was weak but Kim heard it clearly. Her fingers were shaking as she heard Laura's weak voice. She wanted to stay and help fight, but she knew she'd be nothing but a burden.
"I-I promise to bring help," her lips quivered but she ran out the door and appeared on the ground floor that was bright and empty when she looked around. Without stopping she turned and ran as fast as she could towards the glass doors of the construction building. She snuck out the door and kept to the edge of the building. She navigated through small dunes of quarry.
She was cautious as she looked out the night sky. But that's when she walked over a man who was on the ground surrounded by a pool of blood that was pouring out of a gush in the man's neck. As she looked at the dead man a sick feeling entered her stomach. She scurried away but soon came in contact with something soft. It wiggled
Statler she turned around to see another man who was wrapped in chains and gagged.

***********
The man who Laura now looked up to with her vision blurry had an annoyed look on his face as he grabbed her by the hair and yanked her onto her feet.
Laura screamed in pain.
"Shut up this is nothing compared to what the boss is going to do you for ruining his plans," the man said as he walked out of the door while pulling Laura along by her hair like a leash. The were now on the ground floor were two men could be seen coming towards them.
"And where the fuck have you idiots been?" the man yelled at the others furiously.
"We were taking a smoke sir," one of them replied to which he reached a fist to his nose. Rodrigo, the man holding Laura, was beyond man because now Houston was going to be all over their asses if his plan failed because of their incompetence.
"Did you even see the girl who escaped?" Rodrigo asked.
The two men shook their heads.
"Well then find the goddamn slut then!" Rodrigo ordered harshly her took Laura into an elevator and was heading up.
Laura could feel some strands of her hair ripped from her scalp but that was the least of her worries as she wondered what was going to happen to her as well as what their plan involving Kim could have possibly been.
The elevator reached the 5th floor which led directly into a corridor that led to one door.
Walking forward Rodrigo gave it a slight knock before getting in. The first thing he did was throw Laura into the room. It was unexpected for her so with a this she hit the floor and looking up an older man with a cold gaze stared at her.
"Boss Houston we have a situation," Rodrigo visibly gulped as he knew the next words would not please his boss at all. "Kim Kang has escaped and it was this girl's fault"
"What!" Houston growled while staring between the bruised girl and Rodrigo. "How in the world could she possibly do that?"
"It seems like she had managed to get past Brigg as well as lock him in her cell just before releasing Kim," Rodrigo explained, sweating going down his forehead as Houston's face went red in anger.
"You know I planned not to harm you until your brother was brought in but with this you just made me lose my patience!" Houston kicked Laura in the side and all Laura could do was close her eyes and scream in pain as the blows seemed to be so much worse than Rodrigo's.
"Don't even think this is the end of it," Houston told her in a cold voice that made Laura shiver in an unimaginable fear.
