Don Grudge watched in disgust as Tyler Calvin laid his head on top of his desk and doozed off. He seemed relaxed. Too relaxed for a newbie who came in his territory and made a fuss and Don wasn't just going to let him be.
At first he figured he'd do so at lunch but the 15 minute break after the Ms. Tania's class didn't seem like a bad idea at all. He approached Tyler's desk with his three friends.
************
I don't know when or how I fell asleep but I remember taking down some notes right before everything went blank. Maybe it was because of the tranquil feeling that this was a peaceful environment where everyone would do what they felt free to do.
It was some sweet peaceful sleep. Some damn good sleep. It didn't last long though because that peace was disrupted with a sudden thud on the surface of my desk. I opened one eye and saw a hand right infront of me. I followed the arm all the way up the shoulder and was not surprised at all to see Don grinning down at me.
"Sleeping beauty get her beauty sleep?" Don said.
"Wow that's funny did you practice that line in the mirror or something," I smiled mockingly as I sat upright. Turns out I had slightly drooled on my note book. "Shit hope the notes are intact," I muttered.
"Hey fucker you're worried about your notes when I'm about to teach you a lesson?"
"Wow so now you're a teacher too huh?" I chuckled. Don's rage breached to the surface as he forcefully grabbed my front collar and hauled me to my feet. My chair awkwardly skid a few feet on the floor before in fell over.
I took the moment to take a snapshot of the room with my eyes.
A total of ten other people were in the room standing away from us, some had their phones out and we're recording on their smartphones. Rochelle had gone out and her backpack was in her chair.

Nathan was nowhere to be seen. My desk was the only thing separating me and Don which made the situation awkward. Two of his friends were behind me and the other one was behind Don.
"Hey dude this is kind of awkward. Mind shifting to the left?" I pointed at the desk and he shifted us so that we stood in the space between my desk and Rochelle's. "Well at least I now know you're smart."
That was the last straw for Don and he's last thoughts for rationality were thrown out the window, which was exactly what I wanted.
"He's dead now," one of his friends said from behind me.
He threw a clenched fist straight at my face. I reacted by blocking his blow with my hand.
He stared at me with wide eyes.
"You drew first blood," I said and grabbed his shirt pulling him in and I rammed my head into the bridge of his nose.
"Argh," he groaned as he slumped backwards, a short trail of blood dripping down his nose.
The guys behind me started to move but I was faster as I span and sent a penetrating front kick to the first guy's shin. He lost his balance started to fall forward, a point at which I pushed him aside and he knocked over Rochelle's bag in the process.
The other one threw an amateur punch my way. I ducked wrapped one arm around his extended one while I grabbed the front of his shirt. Twisting my body, swung him over my head and he landed on top of Don who was lying in the ground at the time. The one who had fallen on the ground was barely getting on his knees when I sent a kick under his jaw. He went back down and the last guy who was standing before the piled up lump of Don and his friend had frozen in fear and awe, he couldn't move.
I glared at him. " You wanna come at me too?"
He shook his head.
"Then you better take your friends to the infirmary," I said as the one who knocked over Rochelle's bag was standing up and in a matter of seconds they carried each other out of the class. I sighed as I picked up my chair.
When I looked forward I noticed Rochelle staring daggers at me.
I gulped as I picked up her bag and carefully placed it in her chair. I nervously gave her a thumbs up as she walked passed me, picked up her bag and went out without saying a word.
"Oh God," I muttered to myself as I sat down. "Why is dealing with her harder than dealing with Don"
on the other hand the students who had witnessed what had happened had recorded the fight that literally lasted thirty seconds and had posted it on social media. Fifty seconds later and over a hundred comments were flying in some from Crimson Academy and others from nearby schools.
