Sadly, I have to announce that there might not be any new updates out for a while. My current health hasn't made it impossible to write, but I find that I'm unable to keep quality consistent, at which point I'd rather take the time to rest. It's very disappointing to me personally, since I had hoped to finish this story all in one go, but it seems that won't be possible.

I will go back to posting as soon as I am able and I regain the motivation to write, but I can't make any specific promises about when that might be. I would like to apologize to those who had been keeping up with the story regularly, since I'm sure that being left hanging like this in the middle of an arc is unsatisfying.

I would also like to thank everyone who's been reading, commenting, and otherwise showing their support. Seeing people enjoy and engage with what I've written is my greatest joy in life, so thank you for giving me that.

I have some other stories I've been piling up that I will be posting while I recover, but I hope I'll be able to return to Hero for Hire soon. I've loved the process of writing this story partly because of how different that process has been from everything else I've written previously, and I've learned a lot from that. I believe I've mentioned it before, but Hero for Hire is the longest story I've ever written, and I have loads more planned out as long as there's demand for it.

I don't want to leave you with nothing at all, so I think now would be a fun time to reveal Ender's Blessing. His Blessing is called Kill the Author. It's one of my favorites that I've come up with, and I'm very excited to explore it, as far as is possible.
