After logging back in the next morning I decided to go for a walk and refill my canteen since it was on the verge of becoming empty. While I was out walking I stopped by Grandma’s place. “Hey Grandma.” I called out as I approached her, “Oh Bunny, it's good to see you. How have you been?” she said in a very cheerful tone. “I’ve been good. Is there anything I can help you with today?” I asked. After thinking a moment she replied, “No, there isn’t but thank you.” and then she continued “Bunny aren’t you cold? Those clothes don’t seem like they keep you warm enough.” “No I’m fine.” I replied. She then said in a worried tone., “Okay, well you should start wearing thicker clothes. Lately the mornings have been colder than usual”. "Okay, I’ll take that into consideration.”

"Granny I was curious, how much do you sell your apples for?” “Oh they go for four copper each, but for you I’ll give a discount. How does two for five sound?” She said with a smile. “Oh that sounds great, thanks Granny I’ll take two.” I said with a grin on my face. “Okay Granny I’ve got to be going now but if you need anything just ask.” “Oh, well in that case can you come by around noon tomorrow? I’ve got another shipment of apples coming in and I could use some help.”

After saying our goodbyes, I decided to go back to the training hall and continue practicing my archery for a while. It wasn't the most fun thing to do but it was a lot more fun than swinging a chunk of wood repeatedly. Because of that, time seemed to move at a much quicker rate. I spent the rest of the day (IGT) practicing my archery until it was time to help grandma.

I continued practicing my archery until noon the next day (IGT). During that time I received two increases to my Strength stat, four increases in my Dexterity stat, and three increases in my Vitality stat. I left the training hall a little before noon. When I arrived the carriage was already there. It seemed grandma just needed help unloading the apples and stocking them like before. It took less than an hour to finish (IGT).

Quest completed

Reward: 5 Copper Pieces, 1 Green Apple. Increased familiarity with Grandma +5.

After I was done I was told that a shipment would come in every other day around the same time and if I wanted to help I'm always welcome.

After finishing up I headed back to the training center to continue practicing my archery, after about two hours (IGT) I finally got eight out of nine shots into the target that was about thirty meters away. At that moment I received two messages.

While looking at my status window, I noticed in the corner of my eye the instructor walking in my general direction. At first I thought he was walking towards me but instead he continued on past me towards the wall. After arriving at the wall he started fiddling with a rope. One end of the rope was running across the ceiling while the other end was tied to a metal post jutting out from the wall about six inches from the ground.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

After a moment of him fiddling with the rope, it started to lift up towards the roof and at the same time a set of targets fell from the roof and were hanging via ropes. There were four targets the first was relatively close, about fifteen meters away while each one beyond that was about fifteen meters further than the last.

After pulling the rope some more the targets started to swing. The instructor then picked up a bow and began to nock an arrow on it. He then shot one time at the closest target and made an almost perfect bulls-eye. When one target was shot the other three moved. He then fired an arrow in quick succession at the other three. I was amazed at the speed of his arms, they moved so fast it looked like a blur. But what I was more amazed at was that he made an almost perfect bulls-eye in the other three targets even though they were swinging. I looked at the instructor, amazed at his skill.

The instructor looked me in the eyes and then nudged his head towards the swaying targets. After nudging his head towards the targets he started to stare at me again. He just stood there staring, without moving a muscle, he didn't even blink. After about a minute he starting to walk back towards the area he was usually in.

I repeated training archery with the swinging targets and helping grandma over the next four days (RLT). Near the end of my sixth day (RLT) the instructor walked up to me. While looking down at me with a stone cold face and an intimidating aura, he said "I have been watching your progress these past few weeks. You have been diligent in your training and have been rewarded with a vast amount of self improvement. You have completed the basic training course"
