When I arrived at the training hall I was a quite surprised, where the training hall should have been, was a much larger building. It was about four times as large as what I was expecting. As I went in I was even more surprised. I expected that since the building was larger there would be more scarecrows. But no, there seemed to be about the same amount of scarecrows as there was in the old building.
Besides being much larger the only real differences between the two were that this building seemed to be sectioned off and that there seemed to be a few new toys. One section had scarecrows just like before, while another had... well I wasn’t sure what they were. They looked like scarecrows except that they had wooden appendages sticking out from various areas. After watching a few others use them I noticed the ones with the appendages could actually spin. There was another section that looked like a firing range. It had a lot of empty space and a variety of targets at different ranges, there was even some hanging from the ceiling via ropes.
After looking around I located a set of weapon racks on one of the walls. As I approached, I noticed that the weapon racks weren’t holding just swords, but a wide variety of wooden weapons in all shapes and sizes. There seemed to be a weapon rack for each of the three physical damage categories. (Slashing, Piercing, and Bludgeoning). After inspecting each rack, something interesting popped out at me. Each rack seemed to hold at least one weapon of each the three size categories. (Light, One Handed, Two Handed)
I just wanted to increase my stats as quickly as possible and get this part over with already. I was hoping that all I had to do was just stress my body enough. So with that train of thought I decided to select the heaviest looking weapon there. After picking up the war hammer I went to an open spot in the building, away from all the others and started to swing from above my head towards the floor.
I did that over and over again until my stamina bar was near the critical point, which only took about a minute. While waiting for my stamina to regenerate I would sit on the floor and rest. While sitting I would nibble on some of my rye bread and sip from my canteen. Once my stamina bar was filled I would get up and repeat the process. I did this for almost four hours (IGT). After that I got bored and decided to put the weapon back and try something different.
After putting up the war hammer I selected a pair of light weapons. With a dagger in each hand I walked to one end of a long line of scarecrows. After I got there I took a deep breath and jolted off running along them. As I approached each scarecrow I started swinging as fast as I could, I was swinging so fast that it seemed like I was wielding a flurry of small blades. I wanted to get in at least two to three strikes on each scarecrow. But I made sure that I hit each one at least once.
I was able to make it to the other side just barely before my stamina was in a critical state. Once again I would sit on the floor while I rested. While resting I could hear others talking and whispering, I was almost a hundred percent sure that it was about me but I didn't care I just wanted to get this over with. Truthfully this was the part that I was dreading the most.
After doing that for about four hours (IGT) I decided to take a break and greet the instructor. I went up to the man that I had seen giving advice to others. I didn't notice all the scars from afar but as I drew closer they started to become more visible. He had multiple small scars and a few large ones. I only noticed the height difference as I drew closer. He wasn't that much taller than me but with the scars and the way he was looking down at me it kind of made me feel a bit frail.
As I stood in front of him I bowed my head slightly and said in a respectful tone, "Hello, my name is Bunny." The man just looked at me silently, unmoving almost like a statue. I decided to try again. "I would like to get stronger, in the shortest amount of time. What's the most efficient way of doing that?”. After a moment of silence he finally spoke "This is not a playground, if you truly want to get stronger then you need to practice."

~Well that was a waste of time... jack ass~ I decided to continue my break by walking around for a bit. Maybe find on easy odd job or two and make a few coins. After stepping out of the training hall I noticed the sun was starting to rise and that it was already morning I hadn't realized I was in there for so long.
I decided to go towards the closest fountain to refill my canteen. Once I got there I was a bit surprised of how many people where around. This was supposed to be a secret area, well not so much a secret as just not as well known. As I sat on the edge of the fountain refilling my canteen I noticed a lot of people that looked like casters coming and going from one direction. I was a bit bored and this piqued my interest.
After following the road a short distance I came upon the Riverdale Library or at least where the library use to be. The building that stood before me was a lot taller and more majestic looking. As I drew closer I noticed the sign had changed from "Riverdale Library" to "Riverdale Mages Guild". I was quite surprised to see that there was a mages guild in Riverdale. I guess that's why there where so many caster types in the area. Since I was already here I decided to go in and take a look.
As I entered I noticed a sign board that explained the floor structure of the building. "1st floor: free, 2nd floor: one silver or novice membership, 3rd floor: fifty silver or apprentice membership, 4th floor: intermediate membership". ~Okay well I guess I'll stay on the first floor. ~
The first floor was exactly like the library before it became a mages guild, shelves and all. Since I was here I decided to do some light reading. I picked a somewhat random book off the shelf, titled "Adventures Handbook 1". The book had a large variety of things written in it and flowed from one subject to another almost seamlessly. It was actually quite interesting it drew me in and time flew by without me even noticing. After finishing the book, I went to put it up. While looking for the spot I found the book in I noticed there was a second book to the series and even a third. After finding this out I was quite happy. I decided to read them both as well. At around half way into the second book I received a message.
