I finally made it. My signature outfit.
A black hooded overcoat with fine, thin gold lines from the bottom to eventually spreading far at the top centre, plain black pants, and Nik—i mean, ordinary black shoes.
This is what I call "hide your identity while dominating those in my way"! An aura befitting Your Majesty, which is me.
With a problem comes a solution, and another arrived not too long ago. I'm about as lost as a fish right now, but it's alright.
It's like I'm in menopause...but I'm not.
I just can't find something to strive for some odd reason. It's strange.
----------------------------------------
I finished school today, and outside I noticed a poster hanging among others on a wooden billboard. This one stood out. I grabbed it and read it as it said, "Local Academy Tournament, Opened Soon! If you dare to participate, you have a chance of winning 500,000 gold."
500...500,000 gold? Times ten, that's... 5 MILLION YEN?! Ah- Ah! I'm speechless. With that much money, I could invest it in my organization! I have to participate in this tournament, and it might even help me find my purpose.
I've decided to participate. I signed the paper to be entered and went to the place and time the poster tells you, and the queue is a little long, but it doesn't matter. As long as I get in officially, then that's fine.
It seems like many fighters from schools around the kingdom have come here.
My turn came, and I handed over my poster to the person sitting in front.
She stamped the poster and took a glance at me and said, "Oh, your from the magic academy of Noreth, right?"
"Yeah," I replied.
She faintly smiled for a split second.
"Here you go. Good luck!"
Cheerfully waving at me as I go.
That's Azura. My other personal assistant other than Rin.
Yes, you heard that right. I have two assistants who are a bit different from each other. What I mean is, on one hand, there is Rin, the outstanding beauty with black hair and blue eyes. Who is also outstanding in her work regardless? Disciplined and, uh yeah, other stuff. And on the other hand, you have Azura, another outstanding beauty with bluish hair and green eyes. She's... well, a bit of a child.
They don't fight each other, though.
"Ah, sorry," I said.
He glared.
"Be mindful of where you are going," he said, walking away with pride.
Unnecessary as that was, I just accidentally bumped into a swordsman who was cocky and full of pride, like, just apologise!
----------------------------------------
"The Tournament's final match, a duel between!"
That ended quick.
"The Tournament's final match, a duel between!"
Ouch, that looked like it hurt. These matches end quite quickly, huh?
I can just hear the sounds inside the arena. Well, alas for them.
"The Tournament's final match, a duel between Jule Noreth and Yaeko Hinode!"
Every now and then I realise the value of gold. Coins, nuggets, gold bars, you name it. It's hella expensive and precious. 1 kilogramme of gold can be worth more than 10 million yen. Assuming it is, this tournament is just 50% less. Unlike the other world, in this one you just work hard, sharpening whatever you are good at, and it will be fine. Of course talent comes into play, but the discrimination in this world is far less than the other.
Well, that's only my opinion.
With all that said, I'm going to obtain them soon enough! My-Gold-Coins! My-5-Million-Yen!
It looks like it's my turn.
I came out, and so did she. We stood in front of each other, and yet she is out of reach. Ready in my stance, as for her too, we waited for the judge to say the words.
"Begin!"
"AHHHHHH!!!" I shouted as I rushed forward. My opponent may be ready to strike, but I have a plan! -
With a thud, I tripped and fell...
...
I stood up and waited for a moment, then proceeded to charge in again.
Strike! She did, alright. She hit me so hard I flew a few yards away and am still going even after landing on the ground. I bled a lot, and my face bruised, with my left cheek slowly turning purple.
Yes, this is my plan! Operation: "Act Weak, Act Stupid; Finishing Move!"
Her face is exactly what I wanted to see: confusion.
"Are you alright?" She said quietly. And also let her guard down!
As Sun Tzu said, "Thus, though we have heard of stupid haste in war, cleverness has never been seen associated with long delays." Thank you for the amazing quote.

I smirked a little and stood up again, and again, and again! Every time I get up, she hits a critical with the wooden sword on my face! The ultimate plan is working.
I gotta keep going with resolution. The mission's success is near!
"Shouldn't the match stop? Judge, she's heavily injured."
"No...Not yet!"
I hauled myself up slowly and grunted with effort.
"W- Judge! Let's stop the match."
"I will not lose!"
Her confused face is really confused. One more—one more time!
I went for my final strike. I caught her off guard and!
----------------------------------------
"Ha ha ha! 500 million yen, acquired!" I proudly said. Oh, I should hide the coins.
I won the tournament, and I'd admit, it was hard to keep myself in check. Not only that, but after "passing out," the ambulance came, and they laid me on something that was not so comfortable.
Anyway, now that's done, I have nothing else to do. I should help the imperial officers, as without the mysterious Kira making the scene, the plot won't continue, it seems!
They are needed for my upcoming plans. And hold on, if I help them, I won't be able to take the magic test in school...
Ah sh-
----------------------------------------
Nightfall has already past. It's the dead of night. Four imperial officers were chasing a cloaked person who the officers referred to as the Alleyway Killer.
"Catch him," said an officer.
"Keep chasing!"
"Don't lose track of The Alleyway Killer!"
The Alleyway Killer outpaced them and escaped, almost exiting the alleyway.
"Argh!"
He fell down after a gruesome blood spill.
"Your life ended due to unexpected outcomes but also to your lack of caution and arrogance."
Azura stood at the side where he didn't see her. Thus, his fate ended.
"Not so much of an alleyway killer if he's the one who got killed in an alleyway," said Azura.
----------------------------------------
"We lost track of him!"
"Damn these alleyways."
The officers stood still, and Kira came from above in style. They turned around and saw a figure that blends in with the night, though its clothing pattern illuminates.
"W-Who are you?"
"Wait, that isn't The Alleyway Killer?!"
"It's just another cloaked person."
He slowly drew his sword and came closer with overconfidence.
"Oi! Get lost if you don't want to get hurt," another said behind him.
"My name is Kira."
Kira's voice was neither sweet nor sour. Not low nor high.
"We are Kira. I shall bring my ideals to."
"We asked who the hell you are!"
"Are they going to let me finish or what?" thought Kira.
Kira confidently raised her clenched fists.
"Come. Show me what the kingdom's imperial forces are about!"
Kira cut his arm off, and he screamed after only a moment of realisation, alerting the other officers behind him.
They all drew their swords, but it was too late for them. As Kira pierced through them all with water magic in a split second.
"He- Help!"
"Argh!"
"Ugh, too much blood everywhere."
"Azura, did you deal with the one trying to escape?"
"Yes, my lady."
"Good."
----------------------------------------
Well, for the whole week I've been helping out the imperial officers on their missions, though I might have gone overboard on the first one. They now wonder who the so-called "Kira" is. With no clue and record about this person, they think Kira is possibly dangerous; "but there is also a chance that they are not hostile" is also a possibility for them. It's a risk for them, and being cautious is the utmost right decision. And that's fine.
But really, I've been worrying about the magic test, and it's today!
Oh god, I'm going to be late. This ain't fair! Not fair!
----------------------------------------
"As you know, the magic test is today. You shall step inside the circle and control your energy for a certain period of time. If you lose control, you might explode. So be careful."
"You were almost late. Please be careful next time, Yaeko."
"Yeah, I know."
And so I barely made it to class. The test was a breeze to execute, and I anticipate an average score. I can't be standing out.
After the test, I went on with my day and then finally was on my way home on the train. I've followed my train of thought, unlike these trains.
These trains are really medieval, aren't they?
----------------------------------------
"My lady, We've found the cult that's been terrorising and using the name Kira. They are called Revive Dead Demon."
Should I go eat pizza or...
"Kira..?"
I have heard something about that on one of the missions I was secretly helping. Hmm, interesting.
"Rin."
"Yes, my lady. Did I say something that offended you?"
"Using my name as decoy? That is something that I will not forgive."
"Yes, we also do not forgive them for their actions," said Rin.
"I am more raged than ever."
I have finally found my path to what I am searching for. Reason. My goal, my jackpot—it's on the tip of my tongue, and killing bandits might give me the reason I am trying to find.
"Yes, my lady, me and Azura will investigate more on this matter."
Rin left the room to go investigate the matter, but... It's already too late.
I have decided to bring doom on those who use our name in vain. There is no second chance for them. They will atone.
I stepped outside. My burst of energy trembled the whole building and its surroundings. Even alerting those imperial officers further away. I flew furiously towards a bandit nest I located not too far away.
I've now come up with a goal. I will bring down every single bandit nest that opposes me!
----------------------------------------
Kira stepped into one of the cult's bases and walked in.
"Huh, who are you? If you came here for the package—"
Kira cut his head off before his speech finished. How cruel, though deserved.
The rest also died as Kira cut all of them into pieces. Blood and body parts were scattered all over the cave entrance.
Kira kept walking throughout the cave and kept killing until there was no one left alive. Kira then left the cave and sensed a heartbeat of some sort that seemed far.
----------------------------------------
"Put the packages away!"
"Oi! You there, come here."
"Keep working. Come on, get a move on!"
"You there! - Huh? Who are you?"
"Argh!"
"Eh? Argh!"
"Two people died! Everyone run!"
"No, Please!"
"Argh!"
One kill after the other, Kira showed no mercy to them.
"Hah!"
Brea was tied up and was scared of Kira. Her face became wide, and she hunched her shoulders.
"Oh? Who is this?"
Footsteps echoed in the massive room Kira and Brea are in.
"You killed all of them? How!- How dare you!"
The fragile old man laughed like a maniac.
"Who are you?"
"The one who will avenge-"
"Revive Dead Demon!" said Brea.
...
"Huh?" said Kira.
"Yeah, they call themselves that...RDD for short."
...
"Why aren't you coming at me?" said Kira.
"I'm not as dumb as I look. I know your strong, so just in case I brought a very scary weapon with me."
The man took out an odd-looking weapon and flung his tongue around his lips, showing his desire for blood. It was a leaf-blade-long sword but with patterns that lit green. Kira didn't feel it was powerful nor weak, like as if it were a hollow object.
"Oh, an artifact? You rely on such trash?"
He maniacally laughed and swung his sword from a great distance. However, Kira blocked every single hit with her water magic.
"Grr! You block well, but there is one thing you lack, and that is intellect! Do you realise who you are fighting with?!"
He continued laughing like a maniac.
"I am Sherwind! I will become one of the leaders of RDD!"
Sherwind and Kira speed increased significantly. Brea looked fearfully astonished at the monstrous sword swings and water magic.
"Shut up and just rest," mumbled Kira.
Kira's consistent attacks got stronger and overwhelmed Sherwind. Eventually leading to him getting pierced in both shoulders, arms, and legs.
"AHHHH!!!" screamed Sherwind.
"I'm in pain! You will not get away with this, you hear me!"
Kira struck every vital point in his body, and he dropped dead on the floor.
"You were going to die sooner or later anyway. Old age is a disease."
Kira then went to Brea and untied her.
"Go home and be careful."
"Y- Yeah, thank you very much."
----------------------------------------
Hm? I haven't checked that room yet. Is someone in there?
Aah, probably just my imagination.
Well, that's one more step towards my constitution. Defeating the bad guys and good guys regardless of the method! As long as I'm right, of course.
Aah, I'm quite tired. Defeating that bandit nest and saving Brea accidentally was a lot of work.
----------------------------------------
"Sherwind has been defeated? Interesting. Find out who did this; I'll get rid of whoever interrupted my plans, even if I have to kill."
