Rayne
She went from having butterflies peacefully fluttering around in her stomach, to having wasps stinging every wall of the same organ.
But she had to tell her!
It wouldn’t be fair not to… Right?
So she took a deep breath and the words melted out of her:
“I’m trans.” She did not elaborate.
“Oh… Okay.”
“That is not a reaction I have ever heard. Are you dandy or disappointed?” She tensely chuckled, but Alliyah also snickered, so she asked:
"Are you seriously laughing right now?"
"I'm sorry, I've never been asked if I'm dandy before..." Alliyah covered her mouth, still laughing.
"I talk funny when I'm nervous!"
“Sorry, sorry! But I’m chill!” Alliyah once again reached out to hold her hand. “You’re the Rayne I met. You being trans is just another trait I just found out about you. It doesn’t diminish my feelings for you. You’re still very kissable and date-able.”
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
Rayne chucked at the last comment but was drowned in delight. She moved to sit so close to Alliyah that their bodies touched.
“Was that a good reaction? I didn’t mean to scare you.” Alliyah sheepishly smiled.
“It was idyllic.”
Rayne looked at her and found her pleasant hazel eyes reflecting the moonlight right at her. Alliyah licked her own lips and cupped the other girl’s face in her hand, stroking her cheek.
“May I?”
All she managed was an eager nod.
“Use your words.” Alliyah smirked her devilish, evil... handsome smirk.
“Just kiss me already.” She pleaded.
And with that, she finally felt Alliyah’s full lips pressed against hers. Rayne took her fingers to the back of the other girl’s neck, pulling her impossibly close, as the sound of the waves flowing back and forth, to and from shore flooded her ears.
It was a memorable experience. She wanted more and more. Rayne hoped it wouldn't be the first and last kiss because Alliyah's touch was life-ruining good, there couldn't possibly be anyone who would ever make her feel like that.
Oh, no, but what if it is the last time we kiss?
She pulled back and looked into Alliyah's eyes. Her hand was still on her jaw, her thumb caressed her cheek. Rayne couldn't quite read her, but somehow she felt like it wouldn't be the last time. Therefore, she resumed kissing her.
There was nothing else she could do, except kiss and hope. Hope that Alliyah reciprocated her feelings, hope it wasn't just a kiss for her, hope it wasn't just. One. Kiss.
