Spencer opened the car door, "Thank you for your assistance but we will walk from here." He got out, leaning down to look at Tyler, "Come." He stood up, shutting the door. He then began walking toward the shore line. He really was not looking forward to this hike but it would be better than hearing Vickie beg to tag along.
Tyler shrugged at Vickie before leaving the car to join Spencer. "Do you know how far the beach is from here? This is going to be a long walk. Maybe we can call a cab?"
Vickie got out of the car, running to catch up. "Hey wait!" The two men kept walking, which irritated her, "I'm not just going to leave. Don't ignore me!"
Spencer stopped then, "Yes, Tyler. Call the cab." He began stepping toward Vickie, "We appreciate the help you have given us. Now, it's time to part ways. I can understand that losing John has placed negative effects on you but things will get better with time. Go to your car and go home."
Vickie placed her hands on her hips, "So, that's it? Thanks for everything but screw you? I didn't just lose John, I lost everything. I know you hate my guts but we can help each other. I'll do anything you want, and I won't get in your way, I swear. Just don't make me go home alone."
Tyler drew closer, "Cab's on the way. Look, Vickie we don't hate you but this isn't the movies. You really need to go home." both Spencer and Vickie spoke simultaneously, "Movies?" Tyler nodded, "Yeah, don't tell me you guys don't watch movies. Well, Spencer here doesn't but that because he's boring like that. We don't need some maiden in distress begging to hang around. All of a sudden, you'll get yourself hurt or taken, and we'll have to drop everything to save your ass. It happens all the time in Hollywood."
Spencer looked at Tyler, "I don't watch movies because I do not have time for unnecessary entertainment. I am surprised that you are not arguing with me about letting her tag along." He glanced at Vickie, "Tyler is right. We don't hate you but the fact of the matter is that you are not coming along. You are going to have to deal with our decision. So, please stop arguing with us and leave."
Vickie walked right up to Spencer, staring him in the eyes, "First off, this isn't Hollywood. I am not some sort of cliche that can be ordered around. I'm a fucking person with real feelings. I know you hate me just by the way you talk to me as if I am some sort of dog. Secondly, your friend over here," She pointed at Tyler, "almost died from blood loss. You both need me." She then noticed Spencer's eyes begin to change color, "What's going on with your eyes?"
Tyler looked at Spencer, "Oh shit! You better back off, Vickie. Seriously, go back to your car." He stepped between Vickie and his friend before turning his head, "Now, Vickie!" He turned back to Spencer, "Calm down, man. She isn't worth getting pissed off like this. Let's walk it off."
Vickie didn't argue, she went to her car and began driving away. "Why did I have to help them?" She wiped at her eyes again. She drove around before parking in front of a grocery store. She walked inside without even knowing why she was there. She went to the canned food isle, grabbing some ravioli. She read the label, went to the cashier to pay, then drove home.

Spencer just stared at Tyler for a minute, "I wasn't going to hurt her."
Tyler laughed a bit, "Yeah, but that got rid of Vickie pretty quick, didn't it?" He started jogging in place, "I wonder where that cab is? It should have been here by now." That's when he heard rustling in the trees. Then, there was a low sounding growling sound. No, wait. It was a gargling growling sound. "Uh, do you hear that?"
Spencer took the cat stance, "Yeah, something tells me that we have company and our weapons are still at the beach." He glanced at Tyler, "Let me handle this. I don't want to have to drag you away again." He saw three creatures climbing over the embankment. Creatures that were void of eyes and were hunched over but with no real form.
Tyler took the muay thai stance, "I'm not going to just stand back while you have all the fun." He stared at the creatures, "I guess they're not raging monkeys after all." He then raised a middle finger at them, "Bring it you bastards, I need some training time." He did a round house kick at one of the creature's heads, sending it flying back. There was a slight tug on his side, it stung but he ignored it.
Spencer was busy giving a front snap punch, followed by a front snap kick to one of the other creatures, "No, not monkeys but I really don't know what they are." The third creature came behind Spencer trying to grab his throat so he used a grappling move to throw his opponent to the ground. He then kicked the creature in what he thought was a throat. "Do you have any ideas?"
The one that flew back came rushing at Tyler again, so he grabbed his assailant, sending him flying to the other end of the road. "How the Hell am I supposed to know? Maybe some kind of demon?" He ran to the monster, sending a few punches and kicks.
Spencer was still beating on the two creatures, "Demons? That doesn't make sense because they don't exist." His eyes glazed with ice as he sent shards into the two creatures. They both vanished. "Or maybe they do?" He turned to see Tyler having fun tossing his opponent around. "You might want to finish up soon, the cab will be here any minute now."
A fireball hit the creature before that one vanished as well. "You take away all my fun, you know that?" He went to join Spencer and just like he said, the cab arrived. Tyler got in, "Maybe we should go to Tam's house? There might be something there that can help us figure this stuff out."
Spencer entered the cab and nodded, "Yes, that may be a good idea." He told the cab driver the address and then stared out of the window as they drove along. He really did not believe in demons but nothing else seemed to explain those things. He turned to Tyler about to start a conversation, but he was leaned up against his own window sleeping.
