“Greetings Northern Sky Breaker and welcome to my humble establishment,” Pale Moon said as she offered her hand.
“I thank you Lady Pale Moon for your hospitality. If I could trouble you further for one of your private suites, I would like to have some words with my disciple,” Fei said, grabbing Henry by one shoulder.
“Of course, Lord North.”
Turning to the panicking crowd, Pale Moon spoke.
“Esteemed guest of the Rising Moon, tonight has been one for the history books. Now with the appearance of Lord North we will wrap up the rest of the fights. As a gesture of my appreciation, all food and drinks are complementary.”
Thunderous applause erupts from the onlookers, as the drama is forgotten and replaced by promises of free shit.
Pale Moon flicks her wrist and disappears with Henry and the Northern Sky Breaker, leaving Mui to stand there questioning what life even was right now.

Henry had kept his mouth shut ever since the scary man had called him his disciple. The guy was built like a brick shithouse. Long black braided hair cascading down his back and a righteous mustache accented his tough features. His eyes scared the shit out of Henry though. They were golden just like him.
All these coincidences were starting to feel a lot like some xianxia bullshit. He thought he was slick mentioning some mysterious master from the North to that Sect guard. He never thought how much that lie had steamrolled. How did that Pale Moon lady know about what he said? She seemed so sure of it. There was a lot of shit happening in the background, and honestly he felt like a pawn in some giant scheme.
Pale Moon had led the two men into a very comfortable small room. There was a couch and some plush chairs. A fancy bar was in the back lined with very expensive looking liquors. Fresh fruit and little finger foods were laid out on the table. She ushered them into the room, and bowed to the Northern Sky Breaker before leaving.

“Sit down boy,” Fei said sternly pouring two glasses with some exceptional fine liquor. Little Pale Moon alway was the best hostess.
“Drink, we don’t want something this good to go to waste.”
The two men knocked back their drinks in one motion. Henry grimaced and coughed violently, while Fei just sighed contentedly.
“Delicious.”
“I think my insides are on fire,” Henry said, struggling to not throw up.
Fei waited patiently for Henry to collect himself before speaking again.
“Boy, I will be frank with you, what kind of relationship do you have with my father?”
Henry looked very confused at what this man could possibly mean. His father? This guy was scary and crazy.
“Umm sir the Northern Sky Breaker excuse me for my ignorance, but I don’t have a clue who your father is.”
Fei’s eyes glowed gold and he pointed at them.
“The person that gave you these.”
Henry visibly shook.
“Can I have another one of these please, "Henry asked, fighting to keep his voice calm.
Fei poured him another glass and waited for him to finish.
Henry sat there for a moment after his drink, letting the liquid courage aid him.
“Oh you mean Goldy, he never said he had a son.”
The ki in the room got so thick, that it was getting harder for Henry to breath.
“Yes Goldy would be an appropriate moniker for him, and I ask again how do you know my father.”
Henry was getting so light headed that he was scared he would black out again.
The pressure stopped all at once.
The Northern Sky Breaker had gotten up and was muttering something to himself.
“Temper, temper, rein it back, the idiot is gonna die if you get mad.”
Holy shit, this guy was crazy and stupid strong, that was a terrible mix. Henry had to choose his words carefully if he wanted to keep breathing.

“Your father, sir is my master, he left his legacy to me and just disappeared.”
“He’s your master, I thought I was your master.”
“Well you see sir this whole thing just got way out of hand. I might have hinted that I had some master in the north, but I never said it was you.”
Fei threw back his head and laughed heartily.
“I am the North boy, there is no other master there.”
With a sigh the Northern Sky Breaker sits down in front of Henry.
“So my father disappeared after giving you his core and spiritual root. He does that a lot, disappearing I mean.”
Damn Goldy was a deadbeat father, that rat fuck.
“Umm how do you know about the core and spiritual root sir?”
“Hen Ri, you went to my uncles and got yourself into some trouble recently, correct?”
“Platinum is your uncle, fuck am in the middle of some family feud?”
Fei kicked his feet up on the table and lit a cigar, smoking it while looking at Henry with those golden eyes.
“Technically Hen Ri you are family now, and no there is no feud. Now you may be wondering how I heard about you and why I am here. Is it safe to assume that?”
“Yes sir.”
“Well you see a friend of mine told me that they had seen a boy with gold eyes fighting with thick dense ki. That this boy had said their master was someone from the north.”
Fei took a deep drag of his cigar, watching Henry intently with his golden eyes.
“Then I talk to my uncle and he informs me that this same boy has my father’s ki core, spiritual root and cultivation. Which mind you was not his to pass on to an outsider, per family laws. So I find myself in a conundrum.”
Fei grinds his cigar into the polished wooden desk before putting his hands in the air.
“I could just kill you now and save myself the headache of besmirching my name further, which would in turn make my fathers legacy lost forever.”
The Northern Sky Breaker’s ki started to rise and Henry found it hard to breathe again.
“Or I could try and rip your core and spiritual root out which would also kill you but maybe I could salvage my father’s legacy.”
“Decisions, decisions.”
Henry raised his hand, pale faced and breathing hard.
“Um sir I don’t know where Goldy is, but he can explain to you his situation, I’m just helping out a bro, I didn’t know that he even had children.”
“Help him out, you say, what could you help him with,” Fei asked curiously.
Henry was about to tell him the whole story, but found that he couldn’t. He strained to get words out, but it was like his tongue was glued to the lid of his mouth. He went purple from trying to just mention one thing that had transpired between him and Goldy.
“I see, Father or someone at his level has you locked into a Non Disclosure Agreement, a strong one by the looks of it.”
Fei’s golden eyes bore into Henry, roving and searching him for something.
“I don’t know about all of that sir but I think Goldy can explain everything once he comes back.”
“Father will not have the strength to materialize on the plane until you reach a certain point in your cultivation. You and him are linked, your power is his power.”
“Oh shit, man I feel so stupid now, I’ve just been dicking around and Goldy is literally stuck in limbo because of me,”Henry said remorsefully.
“That's better than he deserves honestly, but you are correct you have been dicking around way too much.”
“That ends today.”
“Wait what do you mean by that?”
“It’s very simple Hen Ri, you will be returning to the north with me. I will train you until you get strong enough to materialize my father. Then I will kill him and take back the family's legacy.”
There was a gentle knock on the door as Pale Moon stuck her head in.
“Sorry to disturb you Lord North, but it seems there is a message for you.” she said, holding up a sealed letter with a very distinctive stamp.
“It appeared in my lap and was addressed specifically to you. I felt compelled to bring it over immediately.”
“Thank you Little Pale Moon, I'll take it from here.”
Fei took the letter and Pale Moon retreated, closing the door on her way out.
He read the letter and his mood darkened and his brow furrowed.
“What kind of shit is this, why is she here of all places?”
Henry knew when to keep his mouth shut but curiosity got the better of him.
“What's going on sir?”
“Something that apparently concerns you as well. Come we will be off to the Dragon’s Horde.”
“Sir Platinum said he would have one of his cronies kill me if I set foot in his casino ever again.”
Fei chuckled, “ exceptions will be made, she hates waiting so we better hurry.”
Fei puts the golden bracelet on his wrist again and a door opens up in front of him and Henry. Instead of coming out at the main pavilion of the Dragon’s Horde they are taken to the penthouse suite of Yinlong.
At least it used to be the penthouse suite, now it was a shattered mess of wood and gold. The place looked like a bomb went off inside of it.
“What happened to this place?”, Henry said.
“I lost my temper.”
Henry gulped audibly.
In the center of the warzone, sat a chair but the person sitting in it was not Platinum. Instead he was standing next to it with a drink on a platter in his hand. He looked like a buff waiter, not the lethal predator that Henry remembered. In the chair was a woman, a very old woman, wrinkled and ancient.
The Northern Sky Breaker drops to one knee and puts a fist into his hand.
“Fei greets grandmother and wishes her long life and bountiful cultivation.”
Henry looked at Fei, that was his actual name apparently and that lady was his grandmother.
The old lady just smiled and stared at Henry with the most terrifying gaze he had ever felt.
“Greetings, to both of my precious grandsons.”
