Chapter 14 Basic Explosion Potion (2)

[Result of the Data points to a certain possibility, yet there is not enough Data of Spirit Usage so only a prototype can be build]

'Then build it and use every further Data to improve the prototype.'

[Initiating Prototype, Spirit Amount 0.12/1.00]

Since Fraser "numerically" returned his spirit back to 1.00 the Amount of Spirit showed the maximum of 1.00.

After Fraser stored his four successfully created Basic Explosion Potion in a shelf he immediately rested his eyes and fell asleep.

The next day Fraser visited the daily free lesson which topic of today was the usage of magic Equipment or weapon.

A magic weapon or Equipment enhanced the usage of spirit and thus enables an apprentice to become even stronger. Frasers Alchemy set also had magic equipments yet they were specialized in reducing and controlling the spirit into extracting and refining the potion material.

Yet true magic weapons and equipments mostly focused on battle power as they either had protective measures or attacking spells.

The magi weapon the Magus showed was a ring which turned into a long vine thus attacking the enemy. Almost acting like a living whip or living chain depending on what the Magus wanted.

The magus of the lessons also explained that a magic equipment or weapon were essential in order to be a strong Magus as they would enhance the battle power by multiple amounts.

Naturally there were many grades of magic equipment or weapons but the Magus didn't explained the grades, only mentioning that they existed.

Fraser continued his current lifestyle which consisted of meditating the entire day, eating in the canteen and doing a few training sessions of the Basic Knight Breathing Technique.

The attribute increase of the Basic Knight Breathing Technique decreased but they were free body stats so Fraser still continued to train it.

As Fraser didn't had any spell models yet the only thing spirit allowed him to do was creating potions with the Alchemy set or activating magic weapons or equipment in general.

However Fraser didn't possessed an offensive magic weapon or equipment and thus his only defending or attacking option was using pure physical strength.

The few basic explosion potion had potential yet Fraser didn't knew the explosion power as he hadn't tested one yet.

Weeks passed by as Fraser meditated daily and soon Fraser was a student of the Howling Abyss Academy for 2 months.

In these two months Fraser reached Apprentice Level 1 and brewed more than 30 explosion potions with the materials he had. Most of them were white and only a few of them were grey-white.

The rest of his former 50 black stones resulted in failures as the AI tried to tweak the recipe a little bit. Though with little success.

There was little to no social interaction with any of his peers. But somehow Fraser didn't felt lonely, instead his steady increase of his body stats motivated him day after day.

Like addicted Fraser smiled inwardly each time his body stats increased.

'AI, show me my body stats.'

[6.23 strength, 6.48 agility, 6.38 vitality, 2.06/2.06 spirit]

Feeling his body stats increasing felt good, yet there was one thing which concerned Fraser. Whether he should take a potion to Master Sept in order to learn more or maybe even receive benefits for learning Alchemy.

After all Magus Sept seemed to be nice, but there were memories in his mind of Magus being egoistic, selfish and ruthless. Even to his own students or disciples.

Thinking for a while Fraser decided to show one of his potion to Magus Sept.

'I am not the most talented, I think there was one student being even more talented. Being able to create a potion one day or a few days after starting with Alchemy. Though I don't remember his name it doesn't matter as I will try to avoid every conflict as most conflicts are meaningless. Even if Magus Sept is ruthless and egoistic he will go after the talented student first, so I am safe. At least for now.'

Since Fraser had started with Alchemy about 5 weeks ago he deemed it as normal. After all the most talented student only needed a little bit more than one day.

Carrying his worst basic explosion potion which had the color of almost grey Fraser walked towards Magus Sept Laboratorium.

Normally Fraser should have visited the Laboratorium every day in order to clean it, water the plant and feeding the animals. Yet the older apprentice who also guided the new students around told them in the end that he personally would do that and that the new students should just enjoy their free time.

Instead of feeling happy like the other children Fraser felt suspicious, but the older apprentice seemed to have a good reason as he told us that his guide also told him that when he arrived.

Naturally the suspicion quickly disappeared into the back of his mind, after all Fraser already had the techniques in order to get strong. The only thing he needed was free time, so he accepted the free time with a smile, just like the other children.

Walking into the Lab Fraser could see older students running around, cleaning, watering the plants and feeding the animals.

As he neared the experiment chambers of Magus Sept he could see the chair and the desk where Magus Sept greeted the new students. Yet there was no Magus Sept.

One of the older students walked towards Fraser before saying: "Mentor Sept is doing some of his own experiments, if he isn't on that chair then we shouldn't search for him or try to annoy him. But if he is on that chair, then we as students can tell him our problems."

So Fraser waited, and waited, and waited.

There was even a line forming behind him, causing him to be slightly happy as he numbered one in the line.

After half a day Magus Sept immerged from his experiment chambers and sat down on is chair. A hot cup of tea steaming on his desk.

Smiling Magus Sept said: "As usual, one student at a time. Also, everyone wait outside the room."

Quickly everyone in the line stepped back and disappeared from the room which door closed.

Still with a smile Magus Sept grabbed his tea cup and sipped.

"Mentor Sept, I am Fraser, one of the new students you took." said Fraser in order to not feel nervous.

"Ah, the one who learned Alchemy. Why are you here?" replied Magus Sept, still immersing himself into his tea world.

"I created a potion and wanted you to evaluate it." said Fraser while handing his white-grey basic explosion potion over to Magus Sept.

Magus Sept took the small flask, still with a smile.

Shaking the small flask a little bit caused the white-grey liquid in it to whip from one side to the other.

"What talent grade are you, Fraser?" asked Magus Sept with his smiling face.

"I am a grade 3 talent, mentor Sept." said Fraser with a small bow.

As Fraser said the word 3 he could swear that the corner of Magus Sept raised more, causing the smile on Magus Sept face to get even wider.

'Damnit, does Magus Sept want to use me for some kind of experiment? Maybe he especially needs grade 3 talents in order to continue his experiment.'
