Chapter 10.5: A Maiden's Heart
Meet Nana. Nana isn't your typical girl. Her parents divorced at the age of 3. Her mother bear the responsibility of raising her alone. Through her strict upbringing, she was guarded against meeting boys her age. Her mom enrolled her in an all girl school, hoping she’ll stay pure and innocent until she meets the right man. However, life doesn't always work out the way you want it to. Nana always had a curious fascination about boys. As a child, she always watch them from afar. When she moved into her dorm, she sought out books to quench her curiosity. Books full of adventure, romance and heroism. By the age 10, Nana was fed up with her boring life. She begged her mom for some freedom, to go to a co-ed school. But her mom was reluctant, she didn't want her child to be left heartbroken like she was. There had to be a compromise, but what? On her 14th birthday, her mom bought her a new game.
Sitting in her room, the girl was rolling in her bed while giggling. She was excited, happy, overjoyed; all of these feelings had to be remembered. She quickly pulled out a pen. While scribbling in her diary, she couldn't help but wipe the drool off her face.
She ran downstairs to tell her mom about her day. Though she never lied to her mom, she always excluded some objectionable details. Her mother poured some tea, she was always fascinated with her daughter’s stories. She never seen her so happy before.
As Nana story came to a close...
“And then I met him Mom! He was like a prince from a fairy tale!” (Nana)
“Oh? Was he handsome?” (Mom)
“He was gorgeous! I was being chased by some thugs, then out of nowhere, he appeared!” (Nana)
“Oh!” (Mom)
“He fought those ruthless thugs with such grace and honour, my heart was pounding” (Nana)
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
“And? Where’s the prince now?” (Mom)
“Uh- I didn't get a chance to say goodbye” (Nana)
“Huhu, if it’s fate, I’m sure you’ll meet again” (Mom)
While watching the steam gentle float in the air, the girl had to ask.
“Mom, what’s love?” (Nana)
“Hmm… love is when you can’t stop thinking about him. Even at times when you’re angry or when you’re sad, he’s the only thing you can talk about” (Mom???)
“Sound like one of your students doesn't it?” (Nana)
[PFFFFT]
*cough cough*
“W-why would you say that?!” (Mom???)
“You’re always talking about that boy who’s late for class! It’s the only thing you talked about for the last 2 months!” (Nana)
“Honey that’s different! I’m complaining about him!” (Mom???)
“Didn't you call him cute yesterday?” (Nana)
[PFFFT!]
“Cute!? W-well, I-I was joking of course! Nana, please, lets not talk about this right now!” (Mom???)
“Hehehe! You’re so cute when you panic like that mom!” (Nana)
“Uuh- please don’t tease your mother like that Nana” (Mom???)
*yawn*
“Mommy needs some rest now Nana” (Mom???)
“Okay mom! Good night!” (Nana)
After cleaning the dishes, Nana headed back to her room. She totally forgot to add her knight in shining armor to her friends list. Getting into her capsule she had only one thing in mind.
