As both me and Jin pass out we make eye contact for but a moment, but this was enough for us to know what the other one was thinking, “We have gotten stronger.” that was the last thought that we both had on our mind before hitting the ground.

When I woke up to the smell of food I sprang up from the coach I was resting on accidentally kissing Lexia on the forehead.

* “What are you doing!?” Lexia shouts as her face turns bright red

* “Sorry! I just woke up and sat up too quickly.” I said trying to defend myself

* “He’s lying sis, he just wanted to kiss you but missed!” Jin said who was sitting at the table

* “I thought you said you were just friends with her.” Dryadalis said calmly with the same terrifying pressure as the first time there was a misunderstanding

* “You two really are getting along well!” Uxor shouted from the kitchen

* “Are you making food?” I asked trying to change the subject

* “Yes, it’s almost done, but more importantly. When are you two getting married!?” Uxor shouted as she placed the food on the table

* “I’m not getting married until I’m at least eighteen.” I said dodging the question as I stood up

* “So you’re not saying that you're not getting married!” Uxor and Dryadalis said at the same time, Uxor with excitement, and Dryadalis with the pressure of a demon

* “I’m just saying that I haven’t decided yet.” I said as I tried to get away from the situation

* “I’m okay with marrying Loki after he turns eighteen.” Lexia said oblivious to the fact that she made the situation ten times worse

* “What have you done to my little girl?” Dryadalis said whale still terrifying

* “It’s settled then! Loki and Lexia will get married in two years!” Uxor said while hugging Lexia

* “I never agreed to that!” I shouted as Dryadalis was squeezing my shoulder

* “Can we eat now?” Jin asked while giving me a satisfied smile

* “This is your fault Jin!” I shouted at him while I was taking my seat

* “I haven’t done a thing.” Jin said while filling his plate with food

* “Yes, you have!” I said as I also took food

* “Am I not good enough?” Lexia asked, making the situation worse for me again

* “Did you say my daughter is not good enough?” Dryadalis asked seeming even more terrifying

* “No, I didn’t say anything like that at all.” I said

* “Then why would you not want to marry her?” Uxor asked

* “It’s not something wrong with Lexia, it’s the fact that he is going to kill me if I do marry her.” I said pointing at Dryadalis

* “Dear, did you try to make him not marry Lexia?” Uxor asked now even more terrifying than ever

* “No no, I just wanted him to let Lexia decide if they should get married.” He said, while a drop of sweat dripped from his forehead

* “Then what do you want to do Lexia?” Uxor asked back to her normal self

* “I… Don’t know… I just… Want… Him to stay.” She said, her face turning more red with every word

* “He can’t.” Lupus said denying her wish from where he was sitting

* “I know that!” Lexia shouted before covering her mouth in embarrassment

* “Ha ha ha ha!” I couldn’t contain my laughter when she got embarrassed

* “You're laughing at me again!” Lexia said taking her hands off her mouth

* “I’m sorry, but you're too cute.” I said as I wiped away tears of joy from my face

* “Hmm!” Lexia started to pout

* “But you know, this is a nice city.” I said as I pet her on the head

* “What do you mean by that?” Lexia asked

* “That I’m probably going to live here or somewhere nearby after my mission is over.” I answered

* “You better.” Jin said as he finished eating

* “You're welcome here anytime.” Dryadalis said with a more kind voice

* “And when you return you are going to marry Lexia right?” Uxor asked with a big smile of hope on her face

* “It’s all up to the Lexia that I’ll meet here in two years.” I said as I gave Lexia a kind smile

* “When you return I’ll be the best healer in the city!” Lexia said with a big smile

* “I’ll be looking forward to seeing that.” I said

* “For that you need to survive.” Lupus said

* “I will survive.” I said determined

* “Not like I’m going to let him die.” Jin said

* “What are you going to do about it?” Lupus asked

* “I’m going with him.” He said as if everyone was expecting him to

* “What!?” Everyone except I shouted

* “Yeah, we were discussing this while we were preparing for training yesterday.” I said

* “And since I want revenge Loki said that the ultimate revenge would be to kill the god who controls the humans.” Jin said

* “Exactly.” I said as I got up to go to sleep. “Are you coming Jin?”

* “I’ll be in right after you!” Jin answered as he left the table

As morning came and the time for me and Jin to leave came closer we left Jin’s room and were surprised by packages on the dinner table and a mountain of food.

* “You're finally awake.” Dryadalis said

* “We were awake for seven months straight so, yeah.” Jin said as he sat down at the table

* “What are these?” I asked as I pointed at the packages

* “They’re our gift to you two before you leave, or more accurately, they’re your reward for completing your training.” Dryadalis said

* “Can we open them?” I asked noticing I had an extra

* “Of course.” Dryadalis said

As we ate breakfast and opened the packages I opened them all at the same time, there were a black scale looking cloak but still soft on the inside with white shoulder pads made out of bone, in the other packages were two swords, one that was shorter was made out of crystal clear white bone, the other one was bigger and made out of a black steel. In Jin’s packages there was a white armour as well as a sword made out of greenish white steel.

* “Are these made out of the materials we found in the cave?” I asked as I put on my new cloak and attached the swords to my back

* “Yes, they are but they are also modified to enhance your personal abilities.” Dryadalis replied

* “In what way?” Jin asked as he also put on his new equipment

* “Your armour will shift and adjust to the magic you supply it with.” Dryadalis answered

* “So it doesn't restrict my ability to make armour out of dark magic?” Jin asked again

* “No, it will just amplify your defense.” Dryadalis answered

* “What about my equipment?” I asked as I got ready to leave

* “It stores nature magic and makes that magic cloak you make drain less magic.” He answered

* “So it’s like a battery and a conductor for magic.” I said

* “That’s the gist of it.” Dryadalis confirmed

* “Are you ready to go?” Lupus asked as he jumped down from the table

* “Ready as I’ll ever be.” I replied as I waited for Jin to get ready

* “I’m almost done.” Jin said as he said goodbye to his parents

* “See you in a year or two.” I said as I opened the door

* “You better come back!” Uxor shouted as we exited the house

* “We will mom.” Jin said as he closed the door behind him

As we made our way out of the village I felt a lot of strange looks on me, I kept wondering why until I finally decided to ask Jin about it.

* “Hey, Jin, why is everyone looking at me as if I’m a monster?” I asked as we were almost out of the village

* “I don’t know.” He said as he turned his head to look at me. “You know, don’t you think you have forgotten something?” He asked after looking at me

* “No, I don’t think so.” I answered as I went through my head as to what I had brought

* “So there's nothing wrong with how you look?” Jin asked trying to signal something

* “I’m not disguised am I?” I asked as I realised what was wrong

* “No, you're not.” He said with a disappointed sigh

* “We should probably run the last bit right?” I asked getting worried

* “Yeah, we should.” Jin said as he and Lupus began to run

I began to run after them when I heard a scream and stopped dead in my tracks, I closed my eyes and tried to locate where the scream was coming from. After approximately ten minutes of searching I found the place, I ran there at full speed and stopped a man who was harassing a woman.

* “What!?” The man shouted in surprise

* “What were you planning to do to her?” I asked as I squeezed his wrist

* “We were just playing.” He said as he tried to punch me in the face

* “Is he telling the truth?” I asked the woman as I caught the man's fist

* “No! He tried to harass me!” She shouted as she sat on the ground

* “You heard her. Now leave.” I said as I let a little of my dark magic slip out

* “Who are you?” The woman asked as I helped her up

* “I’m Loki, if you want to know more details then you should ask the chef.” I said just before running to where Jin and Lupus were waiting

* “What were you doing?” Jin asked as we started to make our way towards the road

* “Nothing in particular.” I said as I adjusted my gloves
