Chapter 36: Wrapping Up

Chapter 36: Wrapping Up

A day passed, and Liara was still in her cocoon, but energy pulsed from within. The pulses have been getting shorter as time went by. Geon said that Liara should wake soon.

Caeldaemos was successful in establishing a Stasis-Type Pocket Domain. He charged a considerable amount of mana into its creation, making something the size of a massive warehouse. With Geon’s instructions, he set it with a rule of spatial transfer and a rule of access. The spatial transfer was just to be able to move items in and out. The rule of access was so that he could give access to it to others.

Rana was already making good use of it with the various golems they had made. Listamati was assisting the mother with combat practice while also training her class.

“Hey, Geon,” Caeldaemos called out to the bored-looking core.

“Hmm?” She lazily replied.

“Are you going to be okay when we leave?” He asked.

“Why wouldn’t I be?” She asked, but he could see that concern was written on her face.

They had all noticed that Geon had been on edge the last few hours.

“Geon. You can talk to us. I mean, you did try to murder us multiple times, but you really helped us in the end.” He tried.

Geon curled her body up into a ball, floating in the core. “It’s nothing.”

“I guess it’s kind of lonely being a dungeon core, huh?” Caeldaemos asked.

“I said it’s nothing.” Geon snapped back.

Lily came over. “Geon, we’re worried about you. If you are sad about us leaving tomorrow, we can return once things settle down.”

“THAT’S NOT IT!” Geon dove into the depths of her core, and a live feed outside the dungeon began to show.

“What the hell are those?” Mari asked about an odd spiraled metal at the end of a metal box.

“That’s a drill.” Caeldaemos turned to the others, who stopped their training and joined in. “A mining drill.”

“No! We can’t let them do that to Geon!” Lily shouted.

“But, what can we do? She is stuck here, and the heroes are outside.” Orelia gritted her teeth, hating herself for saying it.

Caeldaemos racked his brain for something to do when Liara’s voice rang out around them.

“Perhaps I have an idea.”

Looking to her cocoon cracked and split until Liara burst out, naked as the day she was born.

“Oh, dear. Beloved, could you magic me up some clothes? Something relaxed.” Liara no longer had her demonic features. She looked like a curvier form of her demi-human disguise, but now she had three additional tails.

Caeldaemos went over, used a quick bout of cleaning magic, and placed his hand on her head. Using Create Item, a nice set of robes materialized on her body.

“Much better. Thank you, Cael.” She smiled.

“Glad to see you okay, Lia.” Caeldaemos hugged her.

She nuzzled into his chest happily. “Glad to be back. And honestly, I have never felt this good. What do I look like now?”

“Beautiful.” He flirted while summoning a mirror for her.

She looked herself over. “My! I do like this better. I kind of miss the horns, but I can live without them.”

“Liara, you said you had an idea?” Lily asked, worried for Geon.

“Yes.” She turned to Caeldaemos. “You should kidnap her.”

Caeldaemos could say nothing but tilt his head in confusion.

Liara giggled. “Use your domain skill.”

Caeldaemos turned to an already thinking Geon. “What do you think, Geon? Is it possible?” He asked.

Geon looked down at Liara and bowed on her hands and knees to the foxy woman.

“I do not know how to repay this debt, but I will find a way,” Geon promised.

“No need for that! You helped me. Now I will help you. We’re even.” Liara grinned.

Geon then went over the plan.

First, once they were ready, Geon would activate the teleportation sequence on a countdown. Second, Caeldaemos would establish a domain around her core, cutting her off from the dungeon. Third, he would shrink her core down so that it could be carried. The last step would be they all get teleported out, and the dungeon collapses.

“Honestly, I have the mana ready now to send you out. Do you think you can do it, Caeldaemos?” Geon asked.

“Is there any way I could practice? I don’t want to mess this up and leave you behind.” He said.

“I… think I could set up something. Let’s do this!” Geon was motivated.

Twenty-four hours went by in a flash. Geon had set up multiple fake cores and short-range teleportation sequences for Caeldaemos to practice. After forty-seven sessions, they were ready.

“Okay. I am setting the coordinates right now. Verifying location is clear. The weather is clear, so it should not cause any issues. Okay, Caeldaemos, are you ready?” Geon asked.

Caeldaemos nodded, already having his ability started.

“Alright! Starting in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… GO!” Geon shouted.

“Establish domain! Shrink! Lily!” Caeldaemos shrunk the dungeon core to the size of a basketball.

Lily activated her Flash Step, grabbed Geon’s core, and returned to the teleportation circle instantly.

“Attention! Dungeon subjugation is complete! Error! Dungeon Core was removed! Unable to maintain dungeon!”

The entire dungeon began to shake as the teleportation circle brightened.

“Attention! Demon-Lord is exiting the….”

They teleported out of the dungeon.

The light died down, and they looked around themselves. They were in a forest, and it was late in the day.

“You okay, Geon?” Lily asked.

“WOO! What a rush!” Geon called out from her core. She stopped and looked around. “So this is the outside? It’s too… open…”

They noticed that Geon was uncomfortable after being so used to being inside a dungeon.

“I have an idea.” Caeldaemos took the dungeon core in his hands. “Would you be fine if I shrunk your core more?” He asked.

“I’ll be fine. Honestly, it feels a bit more comfortable.” Geon replied.

Caeldaemos shrunk her core to the size of a golf ball and used Create Item to hold her at the end of a thick chain. He put the chain on and slipped her core into his shirt.

“Ah! This feels wonderful! I feel soo… secure…” It sounded like Geon had fallen asleep.

“Do dungeons sleep?” Caeldaemos asked worriedly.

None of the others had an answer. He checked her core and saw that she lacked mana and sleeping was slowly recovering. He explained what he noticed and began getting ready to head to their following location, the human town of Flower.

Caeldaemos stepped out after altering his appearance. His horns and wings were gone, and his skin was a light tan instead of his usual deep reddish tan. His eyes were still a deep blue, but they were no longer cat-like.

He went up to Liara, who was available. “So, what do you think?” He asked in his human-like appearance.

Liara looked him up and down, walking around him. “I don’t know. I kind of like you a bit more… horny.” She teased, batting him with her tail as she walked by.

Caeldaemos opened his mouth to say something, but her double entendre stunned his mind momentarily. He could not help but laugh at the situation.

“I feel so weird like this! I can’t see my nose!” Rana complained.

Liara had used Misty Veil to apply a change to the mother. Rana now looked more similar to her daughter, having a human-like face and body.

“At least we didn’t have to shave your body.” Liara teased.

“I would have clawed the eyes out of anyone who tried!” Rana replied.

“I gotta ask, Orelia, why must we do this with Rana?” Caeldaemos asked.

“We are in the western side of the empire where human supremacy is… bad. It is not the worst in the world, but with her having more human-like features, it will make it easier on us.” Orelia explained.

Hearing that led Caeldaemos to frown unhappily.

“Cael… what do you think?” Rana asked him bashfully.

He thought for a moment. “You’re cute like Lily now, but I like you more in your original form.”

Rana smiled brightly while blushing.

“By Nanduun, that was difficult!” Listamati came forward in her human form.

Like Caeldaemos, her demon-like features were gone. Her hair was a charcoal gray, her skin was dark brown, and her irises were black.

“Uh, Cael…” Listamati looked at his human form unhappily.

“You prefer him horny, too, huh?” Liara teased.

“WHA-!? Dirty woman.” Listamati got over her shock and chastised the laughing Liara.

“Pulling off what Liara said, I think I prefer you a bit horny too.” Caeldaemos decided to tease the demoness.

Listamati’s face turned reddish in embarrassment. “If that is what you desire, I am more than happy to oblige.” She shifted bashfully in place.

Liara laughed even harder. “From me, it sounds like teasing! From you, it’s like a request!”

With their preparations completed, they headed westward toward the town of Flower.

Orelia had warned about it since they were deep in a forest, but they didn’t expect someone to be stupid enough to challenge such a large and well-armed group as theirs.

“What a fine spread of lovely flowers, eh boys?”

Yet here they were, bandits. A group of thirty of them.

Caeldaemos huffed in frustration. Not a single one of the bandits was well-equipped and was relying on their numbers. While in their party’s case, they were equipped with high-grade equipment and carried themselves with deadly experience.

“You all know the drill. All your things and women. You can keep the little girl.” The leader said.

“Are you seriously right in the head?” Caeldaemos asked.

“What?”

“I’m being serious. Not a single one of you has a decent piece of equipment, and you are challenging a group that not only has experience but is armed to the teeth with top-quality equipment.” Caeldaemos argued.

Some of Caeldaemos’ group began trying to hide their laughter. They had to agree the group of bandits was well outside their league.

“Shut the hell-!”

“ATTENTION!” Caeldaemos’ voice boomed out. “If any of you do not wish to die! Disarm and lay down on your stomach! You will face your punishment in the town of Flower!”

Some of the bandits were having second thoughts.

“DAMMIT! GET THEM!” The leader shouted.

Instantly, seven heads rolled across the ground, and blood spurted from the necks of the bodies missing them.

The bandits froze in place. They had no idea what had happened.

Caeldaemos’ group, though, knew what happened. Lily had used her Flash Step. He could see her being far too tense, and her hands were shaking.

He placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and used an ability from Lord of Benevolence, Comfort. Warmth spread through her body. “It’s okay, Lily. You didn’t do anything wrong.”

Caeldaemos knew the feeling she was experiencing. Killing monsters was one thing, but another living, breathing person carried a much heavier weight.

Lily calmed down and smiled at her father, feeling safe in his presence.

“That was a warning! Choose!” Caeldaemos shouted.

The bandits, except the leader, scrambled to disarm themselves and lay on the ground.

“DAMN, YOU! THIS WILL NOT BE THE EN-!”

BANG!

A large hole appeared in the man’s head, and he fell over. Listamati’s gun barrel smoked.

Caeldaemos and the others looked at her.

“What? You warned him.” She replied.

They couldn’t fault her for that.

It took some time, but they secured all the bandits and had them direct their party to the main road.

Caeldaemos summoned his magic cycle and Rana’s wagon.

“We need a bigger boat.” Caeldaemos joked.

“Boat?” Rana was confused.

Caeldaemos laughed, saying it was a joke from his home world.

“How are we going to transport twenty bandits and us?” Liara asked.

“Is there a vehicle shop in Flower?” Mari asked Orelia.

“Shop!” Caeldaemos and Rana shouted.

The demi woman pulled the OWP terminal out of storage. “I’m sure I saw them in here… Here!” Rana showed Caeldaemos.

“Anything big enough to carry all of them?” He asked, looking it over with her.

“Hmm… Oh, how about this one? It is called a Shipping Truck.” Rana pointed it out.

“Definitely wouldn’t be comfortable for them, but they're bandits, so who cares.” Caeldaemos inserted his Household Bank Card into the terminal.

The truck cost them a little over 700k Tress. They got a discount since it was a Philbra brand item. After the purchase, Caeldaemos’ Crys-Link rang.

“Hello?” He answered.

“Hello, dear customer. Thank you for your order. Since the item is so large, we wanted to call and verify that enough space is available to send it.” The employee said.

“Yes. We are on a main road.” Caledaemos answered.

“Fantastic, sir. Please take the terminal to the center of the road and place it on the ground if possible. We will begin transfer in five minutes.” The employee instructed.

Caeldaemos thanked them and let Rana know what needed to be done.

Five minutes later, a large magic circle appeared over the ground, the circle’s edge being four feet away from the terminal. The truck they ordered quickly materialized.

“Liara. I will do any single request for you later for the membership idea.” Caeldaemos said.

The OWP employee called Caeldaemos again to confirm they received the truck, and Rana confirmed that everything was good.

“Thank you very much for shopping with OWP. Until next time dear customer.” The employee hung up.

Liara opened the back and ordered the bandits inside. Once they were in, she and Mari closed and latched the doors.

“I’ll drive the truck. Rana, you take the wagon with the others.” Caeldaemos said.

“I call the truck!” “No, I’ll be with Cael.” “I think I should ride with my lord.” “Why do I have to be the only other one with the Driving skill….” “I would like to ride with Cael….”

The girls began arguing with each other. The one who didn’t have desire was Mari.

“Mari will ride with me. The rest of you are in the wagon.” Caeldaemos decided, punishing them for trying to be greedy.

All their shoulders slouched, and they headed to the wagon. Liara thought about using her free request but decided not to waste it on something so small.

“Are you sure, master?” Mari asked.

“Yeah. They need to learn to share. Come on. We haven’t really had a chat, have we?” Caeldaemos patted her back and headed toward the truck.
