“God has forsaken us.
God has forsaken me.
Because of his actions…
He believed we weren’t good enough.
We weren’t worthy of being saved.
We were a mistake. Something that should have never been born.
Due to this demons roamed free.
Monsters… hellish creatures have risen up.
Remnants… it’s kind of smart in a way.
Let a mistake destroy another mistake.
Due to these actions…
I lost my wife.
I lost myself.
My passion.
My drive is to…
Create a weapon.
So I can avenge my lost wife.”

“And like… I don’t know. The work isn’t hard, I just come home so exhausted.”
“I thought this job was a blessing… after dropping out of college I thought I’d be stuck being a trash man or something. But… when I’m here I don’t see that vision I once saw.”
The man sighed gently, leaning back in his chair as he brought the cigarette to his lips. Once he inhaled a fair amount of smoke he’d close his eyes before blowing out the toxic smog, coughing out a few times.
“I can’t move out of home making this amount of money. I can’t take care of you either and that isn’t right. Today, I’m going to let them know how I really feel.”
While speaking on the phone the man saw something from the corner of his eye on one of the various security monitor cams. He blinked a few times before staring at it.
“Hold on, baby… I’m going to have to call you back…” He hung up the phone as he took a better look at the monitor. The footage revealed a dead body in one of the test subject's rooms. This was a very rare sight and seeing this was enough to strike fear into the man.
“Oh… shit…”
Blood… the life force of one’s existence. Everything bleeds human… animals… demons… and even…
That pretty red liquid was splattered all over the wall… the floor and the ceiling. It was a gruesome tragedy. So many have lost their lives.
Bodies littered the place, lifeless and pale. Devoid of their vital essence. Why exactly did this happen…? The only person who knew this was standing in the middle of the room covered in the red.
There was no expression on his pale face. Instead, he merely stared off into the distance. It was calming…
. . .
. . .
. . .
The silence filled the room. Even the sound of the alarm had been blocked out. For once he could think clearly without any feelings getting in the way. This was true peace. This was true justice.
I… wanted to do that for years. I wanted to kill them all for years. I… finally did it.
I…
Finally…
Killed…
Them…
I only wish I could kill them all. I wish I could kill every last motherfucker in this place.

I hate them… I hate them all.
“Please… please…”
The voice was muffled to him. It was wet… gurgling on its own blood. It was a female, but to him, it wasn’t even a human anymore. It was covered in the red and that meant it was fair game for him.
“Please… I have a little boy at home. He’s… so innocent… so pure. He’s… my joy… my life. I’d do anything for him.”
…
…
…
She weakly reached into her lab coat… pulled out her cellular device and quickly started scrolling through pictures. She soon raised her arm up, showing the phone screen to him. It was a picture of the woman… in human clothing with a husband and her son.
He looked no older than 6 and he was smiling in the picture… they were all smiling because they were all happy. She tried to reason with him, but it just made things worse. She went from being an NPC in his mind to an actual human being. Real flesh and blood. Then…
It continued to talk… trying to reason… trying to attack… trying to manipulate. It was all the same. Things would have been different before, but now…
“That little boy needs his mother… I know you’re a good person… deep do-”
CRACK!!
Her phone screen broke, shattered into tiny pieces, and not just that.
POP!
It was gruesome. Her head popped like a balloon being overinflated with air. Blood, brain, and grey matter sprayed everywhere further painting this room in that vicious red liquid. All life within her was erased and whatever child she had at home would be missing a mother.
Good riddance...
There was no trace of sympathy within him. In his eyes, all of these people deserved nothing short of absolute death.
At the end of the day, all of them were selfish.
This is an emergency.
This is an emergency.
This is an emergency.
All personnel please be warned that the building will be going into lockdown to ensure that all the Genomes stay in place.
There was barely any time before the halls started to be locked down. Reinforced metal gates started to slowly close to try and keep all of the damage inside. There was no bigger issue than one of the Genomes making it to the outside world unprepared.
One dangerous as this one would have disastrous results and gain unneeded attention from cilvialns. Those voices although weak and shallow could get the project shutdown which at the end of the day would benefit no one.
Researchers were seen sprawling through the halls making sure the other test subjects were squared away within their confinement room. The mentality of these beings was ultimately fucked. It was no telling what one would do when one reached their breaking point.
The others were quite as strong to really cause concern, but… this one was frightening. They severely underestimated what he was capable of.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
The metal doors couldn’t keep him out. He was breaking through them like candy. All the researchers who were locked away in the other areas were safe. The security guard was on another level and was also safe.
Those who weren’t safe were the ones locked out near the exit and they knew that. Five of them were all gathered around one another… only two bodyguards were present in a heavy artillery suit, but even they were nervous.
“This is crazy…! When I signed up for this project I never agreed to have my life threatened!” One of the researchers yelled.
“We have families at home… you mean to tell us we’re all going to die…? Just like the rest of them?”
“You all knew what the dangers were… this is a highly sensitive project.” One of the armed men spoke. “We’ll protect you. And secure subject 666.”
His partner then nodded and spoke up. “These doors won’t open until that code is canceled. There’s nowhere to go for us… or him. What he wants is a way out and he’s willing to pave it with blood.”
“Not just anyone’s blood, our BLOOD! I remember performing tests on this one… knife wounds… point-blank gunshot wounds… I even severed a limb of his. It heals… he’s extraordinary.” One of the researchers admitted.
“He’s an extraordinary monster all right. If he can do all that how the hell are bullets going to harm him?”
“They’re not invincible… they feel pain. Maybe we can scare him enough to back down, or maybe we can kill him if we blow off his-”
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
Everyone looked on in horror as the only thing separating them from an angry test subject was breaking before their very eyes. The researchers all scurried to the back, slamming their fists against the door surrounded by a metal gated plate.
They begged and screamed for their freedom, for their lives. Not trusting the armed men to protect them.
The two guards took to the front, loading their assault rifles as they stared at the blood-soaked mess that was floating toward them. Without hesitation in their voice, they issued one final warning.
“Stand down and we’ll spare your life! If you continue to approach you die!”
He didn’t listen… he continued to approach them. This was the signal for them to release everything they had. Bullets flew everywhere and the men gritted their teeth as they released hellfire.
However…
Not a single one had reached him. They all floated around him, slowly shifting the direction back toward their sender.
“Oh..”
Without any time to warn the others, the bullets flew out, cutting through the guards and the researchers, filling their bodies with holes. They screamed in agony as the pain wouldn’t stop until they all collapsed onto the ground.
Two researchers had survived the bullets, but they were in bad condition… they could barely move, but still, they tried to plead with the maniac.
“Pleas-”
Before one of them could finish their words their tongue exploded, erupting with a high volume of blood. They gurgled out in pain as they started to choke on their own blood. The final researcher was yelling out in horror as they came face to face with death.
His feet echoed as he took a step in the thick red, not paying any attention to the bodies around him. The last whimpering researcher who was trying desperately to push open the door had his prayers answered…
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
The door was shattered and light entered the halls… the researcher’s eyes were at first blinded, but once he saw freedom he couldn’t help but chuckle lightly as he reached out toward the outside world… but as he did so… everything went black.
Subject 666 was free from the prison of this research lab… placing his two feet on the ground of the outside world before he sighed. Two drops of red stained the ground, as bloody tears ran down his face.
