Arc 1: The Magnificent Witch of Lies - Ch: 19

Arc 1: The Magnificent Witch of Lies - Ch: 19

The sounds of pained cries filled the air. A desperate and feeble woman was crawling for dear life.

Like Terios had said earlier her manipulations were over. She couldn’t concentrate on her skill after losing that mental battle. She could feel the connections she had with everyone fading. She had no influence on them anymore. So, she feared that they would kill her.

She crawled to the best of her ability. Dragging her limp body against the grass. As she did so she left behind a trail of red. She clenched her teeth from the pain. The only thing that was keeping her going was fear.

The fear of dying. That was what scared her the most. After all, she was too beautiful to die, wasn’t she? Especially a pitiful death like this.

“Someone… please! Help me…!”

She continued to cry out despite knowing that nobody would hear her. Not only was she afraid, but the loss of blood was making her delusional.

She expected someone to appear and rescue her from this moment. The worst possible thought crossed her mind… she wondered since she was a demon would she end up going to Hell?

She couldn’t keep up her strength for long. Every so often she would have to rest in the dirt. Then when she got another burst of energy she would continue to crawl. She had no idea where she was going.

But, she just knew she had to continue to crawl. If she was going to die then she wondered if she should repent now.

“Was I wrong? Was everything I did wrong? If so, why didn’t it feel like it? I thought…” She began to cough up blood. Her chin was stained in that red liquid.

She soon stopped crawling and turned around to lie on her back. Her wound was still oozing out with the crimson red. She tried to keep pressure on it, but now everything was feeling so foggy.

“I’m… going to die aren’t I?”

She said in a shaky tone. Her eyes closed for what felt like forever. When she opened them by chance, she found red eyes staring down at her.

It was a man with blue hair and pale skin. She had no idea who he was, but she just reached out for his hand. He seemed very attractive from this distance. Was she her prince charming? Maybe she had gone to Heaven.

The man took her hand gently.

“Please save me…”

The other demon’s eyes beamed with hostility as she uttered these words. Excitement filled his entire being as she slowly shook his head much to the dismay of the Witch.

“You should have saved yourself.”

“...”

“You lost because you’re a loser.”

“Please… I’m dying…”

“Does that mean I should care?” As the man mentioned this he raised his head as he looked down at the desperate woman.

“...”

“Maybe if you beg I’ll let you live just a bit longer!”

“... Please…. I’m begging you…!”

“I was wrong… your begging actually pisses me the fuck off.”

The man released her arm and immediately went to sit down on her stomach where her wound was present. This caused her to groan roughly in pain.

“Your issue is that you don’t own who you are. You’re a pussy. You think you’re some kind of Saint. You’re just as shitty as the rest of us demons.”

Abigail was panting heavily as she merely listened to the man’s words and just nodded in agreement. “I’m sorry…”

“You’re lucky I have a plan for you. Otherwise, you’d be nothing but a blood puddle.” The man mentioned as he reached out to grab the woman’s chin.

His eyes emitted a faint glow as his red aura started to show on his form. Abigail’s aura was showing as well, however, upon closer look, it was being siphoned into the man.

Upon feeling her remaining energy being drained she begged for him to stop. But it fell on deaf ears. He didn’t stop until she had no more remaining Either. And once this happened he started to take her life force.

The effects of this caused his eyes to take on a completely white color. His pupils and iris soon took on the white color of his sclera as a devilish smirk was etched into the man’s expression.

The man saw the woman take her last breath. Her body lay limp permanently and her eyes closed. Her suffering was over. Now she was no longer in this world.

“Unfortunately for you… I don’t need you to be alive for my plan to work.”

This man was a true monster. Reveling in what he had become. A demon. He had just absorbed Abigail’s essence which also included all of her memories. This was very useful information to him as he began to lick his lips.

“Maiden’s Blessing is mine to control. She had such a powerful ability, but she didn’t know how to use it. Pathetic. I don’t need any of the small fries under her control.”

Most of her memories were dull, however, what was truly interesting was the encounter she had with Terios and Oasis.

“Those two are my competition… I’ll be seeing them shortly and from what I’ve witnessed. They don’t have a chance in hell. Vin-Sync… I’m going to crush you!”

The man started to laugh hysterically.
