Arc 1: The Magnificent Witch of Lies - Ch: 15

“Heh, then I’ll tell you that won’t happen Terios. Because I don’t want that kind of ending. As long as I’m standing I’m going to prevent any of those bad endings!”

Hearing this… Terios couldn’t help but smile. But, it wasn’t a happy smile. It was the smile of someone who was reaching their breaking point. It was ominous. Empty. Almost like a black void of malice.

These words… this gesture. It was the sweet nothings that he had heard before.

He’s lying.

You know he’s lying, right?

All they ever do is lie.

That’s all they can do.

You know what you must do, right?

Torren lied to you as well.

For that he deserved death.

You’re too nice… letting these people who have wronged you.

Live.

“You’re so full of shit!!”

Terios darted off! Moving at an increased speed. There was nothing left of him but a blue hue of energy. Seeing this Oasis followed suit. If they were going this route then he felt confident in his abilities even while injured.

The two of them collide with each other multiple times. Clashing violently, their aura clashing with one another and painting the area in a colorful mess. Each time they would clash with one another their force would be canceled out.

They would then back off and attempt the very same thing. Oasis was starting to become concerned. Because even though he should have the advantage. He noticed already that Terios was adapting to his movements.

He had to change things up or else Terios would outlast him. The next time they clashed, instead of backing off, Oasis intertwined his hands with the other genome and began to spin as fast as he could.

Once enough speed was garnered he released him and had him crash into the benches, breaking them to pieces.

“You’re so talented. That doesn’t have to go to waste.”

Terios slowly stood up, staring back at Oasis coldly. He wasn’t fighting at his full potential either. His fight with Talia and having to reattach his arm took more out of him than he thought.

He charged back at Oasis, but this time he was intercepted. Attempting a punch it was dodged. The genome attempted to grab a hold of Terios, but at this range, there was nothing to protect him from his ability.

Oasis lost control of his body as he found himself being thrown back violently onto the stage with a loud crash! Even with his ability activate that was more damage than he imagined. Terios was a hard person to fight.

If I get close to him. He’ll hit me with his aura. In order to stop it I’d have to overload his input.

But, that would be hard to do in his state. He couldn’t waste any more of his Either. He was running on low. This fight might be more grueling than he thought. As he was picking himself up, he noticed…

Terios had spread his arua throughout the entire room. He was lifting all of the benches and breaking them apart from the ground. They were all floating above just waiting to be hurled at yours truly.

“Oh fuck!”

Before another word could be muttered… he hurled it towards Oasis. Only by using his speed was he able to avoid it.

CRASH!! BOOM!! BOOM!!! BOOM!!!

It didn’t stop. But, neither did he. He kept on moving to avoid these dangerous attacks. It seems once it made contact with Terios’ aura he could control the velocity of how fast the items went. He was making them move at supersonic speeds.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

If it wasn’t for his speed he would have died ten times over. Truly a dangerous foe. The scary thing was that his powers were still developing. He wasn’t even doing anything out of the ordinary. This was basic control.

He was a freak. Just like his brother. Maybe even more so. In a way it made Oasis smile.

“You’re not alone! You don’t belong with these demons!” He yelled as he switched from avoiding the attacks to charging straight toward Terios.

He couldn’t react in time and soon a loud CRASH followed. Oasis used his speed to tackle the genome into a nearby wall, causing a small dent into it. Of course, Terios was quick-witted enough to protect himself with his aura.

And now that Oasis was this close… he was entirely ensnared in that devilish aura. He couldn’t move… not a finger. He was helpless.

Terios merely raised a hand. Sending the man flying quickly up into the air and crashing through the roof of the building! Even then he was still flying into the air.

Not one to give anyone a break. Terios followed suit, zipping off into the air toward his hovering opponent. Oasis knew he was in a very bad spot since he didn’t have much control over the air.

He would be at his enemy’s mercy at this rate.

SMACK!! SMACK!! SMACK!! WHACK!!

Terios flew violently. His movement became nothing but a blue blur as he attacked Oasis with basic strikes. The force of those blows had Oasis moving violently in the air. Reacting badly to each strike.

To add insult to injury now that Terios was above him, he came crashing down. Latching onto the other genome’s face with his hand as he had them both crash back down into the nave of the church!

The two of them cracked the floor of the church but even then Terios wasn’t letting up. He threw the man with aid from his telekinetic abilities into the same wall that he was tackled into. Once his body slammed into it, it created a deeper dent into it.

“Ugggh!!” Oasis groaned out in pain and nearly toppled over. But, he managed to catch himself before he raced forward again.

He returned a few strikes of his own on the genome. Increasing his speed and his striking power. Terios’ body was forced back by the various blows targetting his stomach, chest, back, and side.

But, after he got used to the rhythm he engulfed the area in his aura once more and caught hold of Oasis. Now Anthony was learning that this person he was fighting against was his direct counter.

“Shit!!”

Without a second thought, he was sent flying back into the side wall! A loud slam could be heard before Terios flung him to the other side wall! Oasis soon fell to the ground afterward, his wounds getting worse.

Blood was starting to pour from them and was slowly covering the ground where he lay his body.

“Kill me and then what? Abigail has her hooks in you!!”

“I’ll deal with her next.”

“You aren’t strong enough for her. Let me help you!” He yelled out as he tried to make it back to his feet. “Please.”

Terios clenched his fist before rushing over and delivering a strong blow toward the enemy’s face. That one punch was enough to bust Anthony’s lip open. The blow nearly had him fall backward, but he was caught.

Terios had his arua wrapped around the genome’s throat. Keeping him from falling before he slowly pulled him back up into another direct strike in the center of his face. The impact caused more blood to be spilled as it stained Kain’s hand.

Thud!

Oasis fell onto his back. His aura faded rather quickly. He was only able to generate faint traces of it. He was reaching his limit.

“Five minutes… it’s all I have left…”

“Just give up. You should have never come here. Then you wouldn’t have had to die.”

“No one is dying…!” He quickly rose to his feet!

In a last-ditch effort, he delivered another barrel of strikes. Moving as fast as his body would allow him. He didn’t care that his movement was causing more blood to ooze out from his wounds.

The speed was even too much for Kain to keep up with as all he could do was keep his defense up. He softened the blows as much as he could, but with how fast they were coming at him there wasn’t much he could do.

Eventually, one good right hook had him spinning into the air and soon crashing onto the floor violently. But, that wasn’t going to be enough to stop him. Oasis knew this.

Before he could let his enemy regain his bearings he rushed over and grabbed onto his feet. He began to twist his body, spinning as fast as he could. He tried to pick up as much velocity as he could before eventually… letting go. Sending Terios flying onto the stage.

The speed was so intense that he crashed through the wall behind the stage and burst through it! Once he broke through the concrete he was soon flying outside of the church and eventually falling down onto the outside!

Even then his body slid across the ground before finally stopping among some bushes. Not only was he disorientated, but he felt like he took an immense amount of damage from that attack. He could barely stand.

“Damn, it!! I can’t…” Terios tried to stand up but found himself falling back onto the ground. His body had been through too much prior.

I’m not going to let that bastard beat me.

I can’t!

No… I can’t… I have to…

Oasis wasted no time… following Terios outside and soon hunching over in front of him before he held onto one of his open wounds.

“See? We can go right now. We can leave and never have to look back. I can take you away from that witch!”

“Stop lying!”

“You’re the one lying to yourself! You can trust me goddamn it!”

“I can’t trust…” Terios said as he tried to pick himself up, attempting to swing. “Anybody!”

Oasis ducked and delivered a right hand toward his enemy’s gut. The force of it caused Terios to slump over, but instead of letting him drop, he continued to hold on.

“I won’t let Vin-Sync hurt you. Believe in me.”

“Impossible…”

“Read my mind then. I’ll let you. If I’m lying then you can kill me.”

“Leave me alone!” Terios generated a mild shockwave. It was just enough to send Oasis flying back. But, afterward, he fell onto his knees.

“Ngggh!”

Oasis managed to stop himself before picking himself up. “We need to stick together. Because I know the shit you went through. I’ve dealt with it. I’m still dealing with it.”

“No!!”

“Things have changed… you have to come back.”

Oasis inched closer and closer… holding out his hand.

“Stop.”

“I don’t want to fight you. It feels like I’m fighting myself.”

“Shut up!!”

“I thought about running away… I know. But, we can’t run from this. We have to fight it.”

His hand stretched out even more. Breaking the distance between the two.

“...”

“We are brother in arms… I’m your friend, Timothy.”

Terios’ hand reached out to try and grab the light. But, soon he froze up with horror. His eyes widened. He was afraid.

Seeing the fear in the genome’s eyes Oasis became fearful himself. He slowly turned around and realized…

“Terios doesn’t need any friends. He has me.”

There was a Witch standing behind him.
