Prologue.
3rd Person POV.
Somewhere in an unknown location, a humanoid figure formed purely from the darkness that wore a perfectly crafted suit and a top hat made of pure white energy was currently sitting at an exquisitely crafted coffee table while drinking some golden-colored coffee.
Though the most unsettling thing about all this was how other than the coffee table, golden coffee, and the gentleman with only a mouth there was nothing in existence nearby as if the coffee table was floating in the middle of Void.
After an unknown amount of time, while drinking its coffee, the entity shaped like a male human gentleman suddenly started to speak in a voice that didn't suit its current form in the slightest.
The voice which came out of the entity was so ancient and timeless that it was impossible to fathom how old the entity who was speaking must be. Other than that the voice was also hard to comprehend and listen to as it sounded both Divine and Hellish, Charming and Disgusting, Hopeful and Hopeless, Inspiring and Despairing, Pained and Delighted, and every other possible emotion as if this sound contained every emotion in existence in it when uttered.
“Haa… this is all so boring, I am sick of this, I can't take it anymore, Aspheild! tell me how much longer I have to wait before I can finally end this! ”
As the entity finished speaking another ancient and incomprehensible voice replied from nowhere.
“My Lord, Please wait just a bit more as all the necessary preparations have been completed for the Tournament to begin, now it won't be long before you will finally be able to rest forever. ”
“Haa… fine I shall wait a little more but heed my words ‘DO NOT MAKE ME WAIT TOO LONG OR ELSE!’.”
“Of course, My Lord, I shall not fail you no matter what”
As the talk ended, the entity once again returned to drinking its coffee which was now blood-red in color. Though if one looked closely enough right now then one would notice that the entity seemed to be a tad bit happier now than when it was emotionless before as its mouth seemed to be smiling a tiny bit.

1st Person POV.
“Man it's such a good weather today that I wish I could sleep a little more”
Though I sadly can't because I have an exam today. As I get down from my upper bed of the bunk bed which I share with my roommate though it looks like he has already woken up. Getting down I first change my clothes from my wardrobe during which my roommate comes out of the bathroom while wiping his head with a towel.
“Hey Danny, good morning mate”
As my roommate waved at me while greeting me I also greeted him back before going into the now unoccupied bathroom to brush and freshen up before going out.
After I finished getting ready I checked everything one last time before going out. First I went to a nearby cafe to get a coffee and eat some breakfast for the morning. As neither I nor my roommate Harrold knows how to cook properly, so it's become a habit to just eat outside or order some takeout.
Once I finished my meal I paid my bill to the nice lady who works there before quickly running to the bus stop for my bus to arrive. Though once I got there I had to wait for a few minutes for the bus.
Then it happened, the event which would change my life forever though I had no idea of what was about to happen to me. As I was waiting I saw that a speeding car was coming near the bus stop. That was when I noticed that the 10-year-old girl that had been waiting beside me at the bus stand with her mother. Had suddenly been pushed by a random stranger that was reading a newspaper while walking by.
Though I Immediately stopped considering that person a random stranger the next second as I noticed that the man had a gun hidden behind his newspaper and was about to shoot the girl.
As I watched the scene unfold something clicked in my mind and I realized that the girl must be someone important and that the stranger was an assassin and that I should mind my own damn business and not try to interfere as I could die.
But before my mind's logical part could stop me, my body ended up moving on its own. Before I could realize it I had already ended up shielding the girl with my body though I had failed to notice the speeding car about to come hit the both of us.
As my mind finally came up to date with my body, the assassin shot at me and hit me in the back with four bullets in a row, and my mind reeled in pain and agony. The last thing I saw before my death was how the assassin managed to shoot the girl's left shoulder even as I shielded her and how the car was about to hit me and the girl head-on before all went dark.
….
…
..
.
Mmm… As I opened my eyes a blinding light entered my vision before settling down and letting me see that I was inside of a big luxurious room.
Huh, what's happening? wasn't I killed by the gunshots and the bus? Wait a sec how the fucking hell am I seeing.
“What the hell!! ”. As I swore out of surprise, I was surprised even more as instead of my former voice the only thing I heard was a cute cat's voice.
“Meow!! ”
As the cat's voice entered my ears I instinctively knew that it was my voice though thinking of what that implied sent shivers down my spine and I immediately fainted again.
