Chapter 13: Jane’s Class and Quality of Life changes.
1st person POV.
After waking up, I stretched a little and checked my gains from the beginner bonus before turning towards Jane who had been lying near me while looking at me without meowing. From what I could see it's pretty clear she had finished her class Selection way before me. Now seeing that I was wide awake, she meowed at me while raising one of her paws in my direction following which two windows opened in front of me.
“Meow, meow, meow.” (Here, let's exchange our class details and class-given skills, just gesture toward me while thinking of sharing your class and class skill windows.)
Seeing no reason to refuse I followed her words and gestured toward her and shared my class and class skill windows. After doing that I started to read Jane’s class and class skills while she also started to read mine.

“Meow, meow, meow.” (Hey Jane I must say your class sounds super badass though it also looks extra dangerous due to that warning note, also what’s up with those martial arts you got, why does it have a skill within the skill.)
As I finished asking the question I was curious about, Jane stopped my class and class skills and turned to me as I started meowing.
“Meow, meow.” (That's because close combat fighter classes don't have something like a spell tree, instead we get martial arts which have forms or as you said sub skills of their own which we can acquire by growing our martial arts.)
“Meow, meow.” (I see that is very interesting, by the way, are there any other categories of power granted by classes or some other sources.)
“Meow, meow.” (Yes there are other categories that I suggest you use to organize your status window as you keep growing, just ask the system to show available categories to use for sorting.)
I nodded at her before thinking of asking the system the following to which it reacted and a new window popped up.
Currently Available Categories
Class Skills:
Skills obtained from a class.
Title Skills:
Skills obtained from a title.
Purchased Skills:
Skills purchased from system shop.
Racial Skills:
Skills obtained from racial heritage.
Do you wish to use these to further sort your status?
N/Y
After reading the notification I pressed yes to sort my status screen which I must say I didn't know was possible. Wondering what other hidden features are available in the system I ask Jane if she knows any other ones.
“Meow meow.” (Yeah there are a few more of these hidden functions though none are important or anything as they are all mostly quality of life stuff.)
After I asked her about the hidden features she spent a couple minutes explaining all the hidden features she knew about to me. One of those features was resizing and readjusting the status window’s content into a tiny status box though I couldn't see the details of any stat, skill, title, or anything else on this just the bare minimum. I also couldn't see any of the options like the system store or quests.
[Status Box]
Name: N/A || Age: 18yrs

Soul(1)(-):

Skills(-): Active(+), Passive(+), Title(+), Racial(+), Purchased(+), Class(+)
Spells(-): Astral(+), Spatial(+)
Man, I must say this is way, way better than having to open the full status screen every time I wanna see something. Now this mini status box will always be in the corner of my vision, I even used a hidden feature that will show me whenever I gain new stats or skills or more exp.
I also learned that each base stat has 10 sub-stats and increasing the base stat increases all the sub-stats by 1 whereas classes can help view and individually boost specific sub-stats. Every 10 sub stat equals one 1 base stat because of which my soul stat now finally shows more than a 0 and my energy stat rose to 9.
I also read about what the new sub stats help me do and learned that Mana increases my Total Mp, Magic increases magic damage done, and Wisdom increases Mp Regen by 0.01/second per sub stat so currently my Regen is 9.6 per minute or 0.16 per second. Lastly, Authority increases my dominion over mana according to the system which probably means I can control it more easily.
Anyway, now that I have done all that I wanted to do here, it's time to level up and fight some monsters. I turned towards Jane and excitedly meowed at her.
“Meow! Meow.” (Hey Jane, let's go! I can't wait to use my skills and spells and level up more.)
Seeing my excitement Jane just nods at me before following me as quickly I walk deeper into the forest again going outside of the safe zone.
