Chapter #7 New/First Day

So, I finally understand the pain of over drinking on your first time.

To put it precisely, I ended up lying on a dumpster, experiencing a severe headache.

Next was the throwing up part where my stomach felt like it was in knots.

Fortunately, my wife came to my aid and fulfilled her caring role by looking after me.

Rubbing my back, offering me water, and delivering a lengthy, gentle lecture on understanding my limits.

After this ordeal, I need a long break from drinking.

(3 hours later)

I'm starting to feel better and ready for work. I decided to go back home where I could sleep on the couch until I felt better. My powers played a big role of curing my hangover.

It was 3:15 pm, which meant that Ken and Amber would be arriving home soon. Therefore, it was best to do something to make it appear as though I hadn't been home all day nursing a hangover.

I checked my phone to see that Ruby sent me a picture of the following Gates that opened.

One in Koi fish park which seemed to be a dark blue Gate and another one by the train station which was a light grey Gate.

It was time for my first day of work, so I best show off my new clothing.

I hurried to my room in search of my raiding uniform.

I discovered it neatly laid out on my bed, accompanied by a note that read, 'Go get 'em, tiger,' adorned with several red lipstick marks.

If only I was the note.

I donned my raiding attire, which consisted of a long white hooded robe adorned with black illustrations of a hawk, bear, fish, and dragon on my arms to represent the four great elements. Accompanying this were loose blue pants featuring a white snake design ascending the leg, black gloves and boots, and a white mask detailed with crying red bloodshot eyes, a smile in red lipstick, and the word 'sinner' inscribed across the forehead.

"Just like old times," I murmured as I approached the window overlooking the backyard. I flung it open and leapt out, taking flight. Enveloped in my white aura, I soared through the skies.

It didn't take too long to find one of my targets by the shear amount of people surrounding the area.

This was Koi fish park.

Once I landed on the ground in front of the Gate, "Stop this Gate has been-" without a second thought I walked inside the dark blue Gate and found myself transport to a beach.

"Now where is the boss." I asked myself.

Unlike the lightly shaded Gates to which it will have tons of weaker enemies trying to kill you in a small space. The dark shaded Gates will have a boss version of the enemies which has ten times of its normal strength but with a much more spaces environment.

To my astonishment, my adversary was present—a three-headed sea snake, with eight smaller versions of itself encircling its body.

"My, my, who's first?" I exclaimed, soaring towards the sea snakes. However, an unexpected blast of water struck me mid-air, sending me plummeting into the water.

I caught a fleeting glimpse of it before it vanished beneath the water—a creature with blue skin and human-like features.

"Lucky shot...which one of you is the true boss around here." I asked.

The eight-headed sea serpent gathered a colossal orb of water before unleashing it in my direction.

In response, I took off my mask to unleash my breath attack, which successfully evaporated its water.

Amongst the mist, I felt something pulling me underwater and tossing me towards the depth.

Make manners worsted, it followed up immediately with a wave of water only to prevent me from moving long enough for one of the sea snakes to swing by and devour me whole.

This was the inside of a monster...this was a first time I wish it remained unclaimed.

Gathering enough heat on my right hand until I form a white small orb, "Malice orb." With the orb exploding causing both the body of sea snake to burst open and the feeling of excitement to be stained on my face.

Concealed behind my mask, I navigated my way to the surface.

The blue creature grabbed my leg once again, but this time I was prepared and stomped on its face repeatedly.

This time, I hauled it out of the water, propelling myself onto the mainland and dragging its head along the ground until I flung it against a tree.

"That was a clever plan, but it's clear it would only work against the weak," I say as I make my way toward it, allowing some time for it to stand up.

Once it got up to its feet, "We all know what's going to happen. It's a tale as old as time itself. It starts with one important question...did you pray today? Did you pray to the mighty lord coated in white for salvation? If you didn't...I will personally put you to sleep. With a known dance called the left and right." Upon reaching the creature, I engulf my fist in flames where I entered a boxing stance.

The creature obviously didn't understand my words, but it understood I was a threatening it.

It emitted a loud screech, to which the eight-headed sea serpent responded.

I wanted to silence it, so I could confront my true adversary. I made a sudden dash forward and struck it down.

It should have told me it prayed five times today and I would have gave them a light sentence but hearing the scream of agonizing pain was music to my ears.

Matter of fact, I was humming a love song in my head with each combination. I should have bought my headphones actually.

After the barrage of punches, I step away to admire my artwork.

Dead and beautiful.

The blood on the tree told one thousand different stories but only his end was worth telling.

Now my final opponent who appeared to transform into one long serpent.
