Coming home to find my kids eating dinner prepared by Krist was an amazing sight.
"Evening, everyone. Excuse my tardiness." I said to my family.
Amber was seated next to Krist, while Ken stood leaning against the wall, casually eating his meal.
Ken turned to me and said, "I'm going to be in my room," already walking with a barely eaten plate in his hands.
I wanted to stop him but instead, I decided to let him have his moment, "Sure go ahead." eagerly he ran upstairs.
Leaving a depressing look on Krist's face.
"Don't worry, Papa. Big brother is always like this, so give it some time," said Amber.
"I know. Thank you for caring Amber." He forced a weak smile before patting her head.
(A few hours later)
I was alone in my bedroom where I was reading my ex-husband's journal.
July 15, 2018, was the day he got called for that job. He spoke about something bizarre.' The fog didn't reveal the final path of the truth but at the very least it reveals the next carrier of my Determination. Ruby, if you are reading this then I'm most likely dead. This time I mean it.'

Johnathan knew that his line of work would kill him so every entry had "Ruby if you are reading this..." at the near ending.
There's never an entry that doesn't have a warning message to me.
A notification appeared on my phone. When I checked the notification, it was my broker. A group of people claiming they know Krist's real identity, and they are becoming problematic.
Paul Black was the group leader and an issue I need to deal with.
The bedroom door opened and Krist came completely fresh from the shower. He tied up his hair in a knot which was kind of cute that he does this, "Sorry I'm late. Amber wanted to play after we cleaned the dishes, so I was a little busy." He spoke
Without him knowing, I took a picture of him like this for memory purposes.
"It's alright, I'm heading out myself. Apparently, some people know your whereabouts and right now I can't let them find you." I said as I gracefully got off of my bed.
Reaching underneath my bed for my raiding clothing that was in a suitcase.
"Do you need help?" He asked.
I lightly giggled at his proposal and said, "That won't be necessary. I may not be the strongest, but I got the next best thing." I said as I reached for something underneath my pillow.
Krist looked confused until he saw what I pulled out, "You may be strong, but can you survive a bullet." I said playfully pointing with the custom-made desert eagle with my right hand and the clips in my left.
Krist laughed and said, "At least you are not out of options. Message me if you are there or if you need assistance." He made his way to his bed and just dropped down on the sheets.
"Trust me, I'm not going to let anyone figure out your identity and I will not allow myself to die. After I'm done, I will message you to make me coffee in advance if you are fine with it." I spoke.
Krist played around on the sheets enjoying every inch of comfort from the bed, "Sure, maybe we can watch a movie too." He spoke.
A late-night movie sounds like fun and tomorrow is Saturday so I shouldn't need to worry about waking up early.
"I don't like horror movies because I get scared easily, find sports movies boring, and prefer movies with romance." I made it clear to him that these are the genres he should avoid, as I love movies but often get disappointed when they include certain elements.
Otherwise there will be hell to pay. You don't mess with a girl's love for films.
"Don't worry, I'll find us a fantastic movie," he assured with an irresistibly warm smile that lit up the room."Don't worry, I will find us a good movie." He said with that damn burning overwhelming smile.
He better pic a good one.
