Today was the fourteen.
Today was a day of preparation for tonight.
Ruby and I were in the car, heading toward the warehouse together.
This was a scheduled meeting organized by Peter to begin our formation, discuss entry points, and strategize.
And also, I wanted to request if Zero could tag along as well.
(40 minutes later)
We reached the location where Molly was already here, waiting for us patiently and pacing back and forth.
We haven't seen Peter yet, so I'm assuming that he's either already inside or still on his way.
Both Ruby and I exited the vehicle and made our way to Molly, where Ruby immediately ran up to her and whispered something in her ear.
The two girls began to hold hands, jumping up and down and screaming; bizarrely, I felt like the subject of their conversation.
The pair entered the warehouse to have a private conversation about my actions from the previous afternoon.
The brilliant flash of lightning struck down before me. "Morning, Krist. Where are the others?" asked Peter.
With a bashful smile, I pointed Infront of me, "They're having a moment. Let's go; they should be finished by now." Peter and I proceed into the warehouse where the two girls suddenly halt their conversation.
"Do you guys need a minute or two?" Asked Peter.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
"No no, we are done. Let the meeting begin," said Ruby nervously.
The four of us settled by the crates to start our discussion. "Before we proceed, I'd like to request permission for Zero to join our raid as an observer. All in favor?" However, no one was really in agreement with the idea.
Especially Peter, "Give me a reason why a newbie should join our ranks?" He asked.
"He is capable enough to defend himself. I have seen his skill first hand, and he is constantly improving. The second reason is that he's a wild card, capable of altering the course of events with his involvement. He doesn't need to engage in direct combat; merely being on the sidelines is sufficient," I explained.
Silence enveloped the room until Molly raised her hand. "I don't think it's a bad idea," she said. "He could act as my bodyguard if anything happens."
Following up with Molly's suggestion, "As long as Krist takes full responsibility over him then it shouldn't be a concern." said Ruby
We all turn to face Peter. He signed before nodding his head.
We came to an agreement regarding Zero and that after this meeting I will inform him.
The next topic was means of entry. We had two options: Peter could fly us there or we could go underseas to prevent detections.
Molly has already mapped out the area and discovered a drainage tunnel that leads to the camp. Ruby proposed that she could stealthily attack from the rear while Peter conducts a frontal assault.
The plan was okay only if Ruby destroys their communication first.
Molly mentioned that she observed the Gate on the island, although it had not yet opened. She described it as a white Gate with stars radiating outward from it.
The security was laughably since they only brought twenty guards and two captains as watch.
The final point of discussion was our departure time. We made it clear that we would leave at ten o'clock. To prevent any suspension, we needed to make the necessary arrangements.
Since today is Valentine's Day, Ruby and I have decided to say we're out for a romantic evening. Peter has offered to pick up Zero and Molly, provided they can sneak out of their house.
The meeting concluded swiftly as there was little to discuss. It was imperative that we began our preparations immediately in anticipation of the forthcoming events.
