Luckily or unluckily the ant was still alive. It was extremely hard to kill the ants as a being made of flesh with no vital organs. Unless you could destroy their body in one strike, they could be considered a top-tier pest.
The statue, as if confused by the ant’s movement even after having its head blown off, continued to pummel the ant, turning it into a disfigured creature, losing all resemblance to its former shape. Even then, there was still some twitching of movements.
Felix had never been an advocate of fair fights.
So while the statue was busy dealing with that current ant, he summoned ten more into the already cramped room. As for the ant being pummeled? Felix shouted out.
“Corpse explosion!”
The twitching ant’s body started to bloat up. Sensing the impending crisis, the statue took flight! Miraculously its stone wings allowed it to be able to fly. No, it wasn’t justifiable to say it was the wings that allowed for flight. It was the archaic runes that were flashing on the statue’s wings that made it possible.
With it being safely in the air, it avoided the explosion caused by the ant’s suicide attack. There were no traces of the ant except for the fine red mist that hovered in the air. The red mist would have been a deadly poison for any living creature to have breathed in, but it's not like the statue was a living creature. Making it practically immune to the poison.
While the statue was hovering in the air, fine red arrows bombarded it. It dodged the first few, but couldn’t dodge the rest. The mixture of the crimson liquid and the marble, caused a hissing sound as white gas started to leak from the body of the statue.
The ants were spitting acid that was desperately trying to bore holes into the statue!
Seeing its bad situation, more archaic runes lit up on the statue’s body. Causing the statue to radiate a holy light, giving it a disposition of sacredness. The holy light erased the acid that was eating into it.
It then put its hands into a prayer, this motion was filled with an aura of solemness.
Seeing that it was about to charge up a move. Felix didn’t hesitate to activate his fusion talent. Merging all ten ants into one behemoth of an ant. Felix didn’t have a set limit to the number of materials he could fuse, it was just best to fuse two different species at the same time, or else trying to fuse three different species or more would usually lead to the death of all.
The room whose height was 8 meters tall and a width of 2.5 meters, could barely hold the new fused monster. The gigantic ant charged at the statue which was still in its animation. Breaking the sacred rule of anime; don’t hit someone while they’re charging up their attack or transforming.
The statue with barely any space to dodge in the cramped room, could only cancel its attack and face the attack head-on.
The clash between the statue and the gigantic ant was an unbalanced one. As the statue was sent flying. Its body crashed into the walls and was embedded into the wall. Looking like a weird art. Luckily it was just a statue or else this would have been a gruesome sight.
Cracks filled the statue’s body as some limbs were close to breaking apart. Its originally pristine robes were now heavily damaged. With a pair of its wings even falling apart. The statue was dazed, barely being able to move. As what now stood in front of it was a teen with black hair, and looking at it with a sense of appreciation.
Felix had already taken the gigantic and back into his body. It was interesting, to say the least, as the scene was like an ant swallowing up an elephant. Except that Felix was the ant and the gigantic ant was an elephant.
Felix looked at the now-beaten statue as he persuaded it.
“Become my new monster and serve me, and I promise to make you stronger than before.”
Not being able to see any movements from the statue, he took it as an agreement. A weird blue line stretched from Felix’s body as it connected to the statue. This line was the contract between the statue and Felix.
It stretched from Felix’s heart to the statue. It was very fragile and easy to break if the opponent had the will to resist, but luckily for Felix. It seems that the statue didn’t plan on resisting.
Headless Six Winged Statue was caught!
Putting the badly injured statue into his pocket space, Felix aptly left the now-damaged room. The room not collapsing and breaking from the fight was a testament to its ability. After all, who would imprison such dangerous monsters if they didn’t have the confidence to keep it locked up?

Alvin was waiting outside of the room, as he looked at Felix with a calm look. Not surprised by the battle or the results at all.
“You only have to capture the sword left and we’ll see if my theory was correct.”
Nodding at his words, Felix lazily walked to the other door. As he patiently waited for Alvin to open the door.
“So is there anything special about this sword?” Felix asked.
“Hmm, I don’t know.” Alvin calmly replied.
“What do you mean you don’t know?”
“As in I don’t know. When I tried to test out the sword, it didn’t resist at all.”
“That might be a good thing for me then.”
Walking into the room, Felix calmly stared at the sword embedded into the rock. He waited for any movements. It was an awkward scene with Felix staring at the sword with cautiousness while the sword was like a dead rock.
Well, the sword was connected to a dead rock.
Five minutes passed by before Felix believed in Alvin’s words. It seems like the sword was passive and didn’t do anything at all. Felix cautiously walked closer to the sword, he was ready to take out his ants at any time.
Even when he was a hand’s reach away from the sword, it still didn’t resist. As if testing its strength, Felix tried to establish a contract with it. As he sent a blue thread towards it. Before it could even reach the sword, the thread was cut to ribbons by an unknown force.
“Ok, so it can resist,” Felix muttered to himself.
“Yeah, I tried to establish a contract like that too, but it was also of the same results.” Alvin agrees with Felix.
“When did you get so close to me?”
“I was watching you like a monkey, and decided to come in after I couldn’t handle your staring contest with it.”
Felix gave him a blank look, wanting to seriously beat him up. Still, he asked.
“So how do I get it to acknowledge me?”
“Have you heard of King Arthur and Excalibur, Felix?”
“A little bit.”
“Well, I think it will only acknowledge you if you pull it out of the rock. Just like how Arthur Pendragon pulled out Excalibur in the myth.”
“Are there any requirements?”
“Well in the myth, it said that Excalibur only acknowledged the true king. But, a myth is a myth, and this isn’t Excalibur. So I don’t know, just give it a try.”
Hearing his words, Felix calmly stood a top of the sword. His hands gripped the handle of the sword. Not that he was closer to the sword, Felix couldn’t help but acknowledge the beauty of the handle and the cross guard.
Felix desperately tried to pull the sword out. Veins bulged on his arms as his face got redder. Gasping, Felix couldn’t help but lament his failure. His breathing was heavy as he stared at the unbudging sword.
“Ok, so whatever qualities you have, I don’t think the sword accepts.”
As if to pour salt on the wounds, Alvin, calmly stated while noting it down on paper.
Before Felix could reply he heard a voice.
‘Master.’
Felix frowned, he couldn’t believe that one of his monsters could talk to him. Although it was rare, it was still possible. This was the first time he communicated through just thoughts and minds. Not only that the voice was manly and soothing.
‘Yes?’
‘Master, I think the sword will only acknowledge those who are of pure heart.’
Hearing his words, Felix almost wanted to bash his head in.
‘How do you know that?’
‘For some reason, I can read the words on its hilt, it says, “Only those of unblemished virtue may be deemed worthy of recognition.”’
Felix already knew who was talking to him, It was the statue he just contracted. Seeing how it could read the sword didn’t surprise him that much. As Alvin did say the statue and the sword may have a connection together.
“Alvin, I think only those pure of heart can pull it out?”
“Huh, how did you figure that out?”
“Well, the statue I just contracted told me that.”
“Oh, no wonder you couldn’t pull it out.”
Lines appeared on Felix’s face. Of course, he knew he wasn’t a person of virtue. But there was a difference between knowing that, and it being told in your face.
“Alvin, do you want me to beat you up?”
“Will that help you pull out the sword?”
“No, but it will help me relieve some anger.”
Alvin and Felix studied the sword. Both were lost in their thoughts. Before the two of them came to a similar conclusion.
“Why don’t you just get the statue to pull the sword out, It didn't say that the person had to be human,” Alvin suggested.
“I was thinking about having the statue pull it out too, seeing as it could read the words.” Felix agreed.
Wasting no time, Felix summoned the statue of his pocket space. Its entrance was filled with a sense of grandeur as a magical array pulled it out of the pocket space. Unfortunately, that sense of grandeur was broken when the appearance of the statue was shown, its body still heavily damaged.
‘Can you pull out the sword?’
‘I can try master.’
Its marble hands gripped the handle of the sword before it effortlessly pulled out the sword. Felix couldn’t help but criticize the fickleness of the sword in his head. But it didn’t matter now, the sword was pulled out!
Not only that but there were massive changes to the sword. As runes started to magically carve themselves onto the blade, the rock that was holding the sword broke apart. It was truly a magical scene.
“Try contracting it now Felix.”
“Ok.”
This time when the blue thread tried to connect to the sword, it wasn’t cut to ribbons. It allowed the thread to smoothly enter its body before Felix felt a connection between him and the sword.
Excalibur’s False Replica was caught!
