Something pierced behind Ray's left shoulder, causing him to tumble, his shot went to the church instead of Sierra. Ray quickly balances himself, and grabs the thing that was on his back, it seems to be a wooden stick.

It pierce him deep, Ray tug at the stick, until he forces it out. He looked at it, it was an arrow, Ray looked behind him, and saw a group of knights, leading them in front was Roger with a bow on his hand.

“Miss Sierra, we’re here to help you!” Roger screamed.

“You idiots, stay away.” Sierra tried to scream.

{Why did he have to be the one? Dammit, I really didn’t want to kill you Roger, rules are rules, I’m sure Viola is watching, even if I can’t spot her.}

Ray started walking towards the group of knights, getting ready to kill them, the knights looked uneasy but got their swords ready, Roger aimed another bow.

“No! Stop, please.” Sierra said.

Ray kept walking, ignoring her. Roger let loose another arrow, Ray easily caught before it hit his chest, and threw it away. Ray lets loose a bolt of energy towards Roger, Roger quickly dodge it, the force of the blast sends some of the knights back.

Roger got up, and aimed another bow at Ray.

“Go help Miss Sierra! two of you go get that from the church! I’ll buy as much time as I can!” Roger screamed at the other knights.

Ray stopped and looked at the knights who were heading towards the Sierra side.

{That should be ok, as long as no one else tries to attack me, it should be fine, whatever they need to get from the church won’t be able to harm me, and there is no way they can stop her from bleeding out.} Ray thought to himself.

Roger fired his arrow. Ray held out his hand, shooting another energy bolt towards it. The energy bolt easily broke through the arrow, and headed for Roger, Roger tried to move out the way, but the blast got him in the stomach.

The force of the blast sent him towards a house brick wall, he landed on his hands, and knees. His bow broke in half, because of the blast.

“Roger, if you don’t struggle, I promise to kill you fast, and easy.” Ray said, as he approached Roger.

“How do you know my name?” Roger said, as he unsheathed his sword from his waist.

“We are… acquaintances.” Ray said.

“Why would an acquaintance try to kill me?”

“Because you attacked me, and unfortunately I have to follow the rules of killing anyone who attacks me.” Ray said.

“Just like those knights you killed earlier who didn't even acknowledge you, before you twisted their heads!” Roger screamed.

“Those were unfortunate but they were part of something else I had to follow.”

“Unbelievable, do you ever take responsibility, or are all of you hybrids just like you.”

“....We are different, I hope so, now then, let me finish you quickly, then I have to get back to Miss Sierra.” Ray said, as he approached Roger, while massaging his shoulder.

Roger ran towards Ray, swinging his sword.

“Do you really think you will be able to hurt me with that?” Ray said.

Roger kept swinging his sword, Ray easily dodge them, Roger did a pierce strike, that Ray easily dodge, and kicked Roger away, his sword glittering to the ground.

Ray approached Roger, when the doors of the church swung open, two knights came down the stairs quickly and rushed towards Roger's side, ignoring Sierra's orders to stay back.

“Roger, we got them!” One of the knights screamed.

“Throw them now!” Roger screamed, as he picked himself up, and ran towards his sword.

Each of the two knights threw a little ball where Ray was standing.

The balls exploded, covering Ray, in a fog of smoke.

{Smoke bombs?}

Ray instictly covered his nose, and mouth, trying not to breathe in the smoke, Ray heard footsteps of the knights in the smoke, two arrows suddenly piece Ray, arm, and chest.

{Dammit! I let them hurt me, what will these even do!}

Ray angrily grabs the arrows, and rips them out of him, ignoring the pain. Ray heard footsteps coming even close, he releases an energy bolt towards the sound, but Ray misses. More smoke hit the ground around Ray. Ray jumped back, escaping the smoke cloud, but as he landed, more smoke bombs went off at his feet.

An arrow pierced him again, and Ray quickly sent a strong bolt of energy in the same direction, Ray heard a blast, the body he hit, hit the ground, Ray sent more bolts towards the sound he heard.

“Alex!” A voice rang out.

“Focus! It should hit any moment now, keep him here!” Roger screamed.

{What the hell are they talking about?}

Ray gathered energy into his hand, and hit the ground as hard as he could, sending a shockwave pushing back the two knights and clearing the smoke, but he saw Sierra quickly heading towards him. Her red aura, and lines, even brighter than ever.

Before Ray could fully dodge, Sierra pierce his chest, aiming for his heart, while getting pushed back, Ray quickly grabs her arm, before it could reach its target.

{Push it back, don’t let it pierce me!}

Sierra built up her energy, Ray saw the energy going to her hand, and Ray quickly put energy into his left hand, and swung it down, cutting Sierra hand off, Ray put his other hand where the wound was before the explosion of Sierra energy went off.

Ray got knocked to the ground, clutching his chest where Sierra almost killed him. Ray looked up, and saw the hand of Sierra that he cut off in the distance, while Sierra was laying face down on the cement, she was still breathing.

{That was too close, if I didn’t cut her hand in time, she would have killed me, dammit my heart is beating like crazy, I feel dizzy.}

Ray stood up, before collapsing to the ground, his hand on the ground, his head was ringing, his eyes blurry, he felt like he was going to throw up.

{What is going on? I can’t move my body, it feels like I’m on fire.}

“Everyone now is our chance, kill him before he heals from the poison!” Roger yelled.

{Poison?! When did they?... the arrows! Dammit I’m still too reckless. I gotta move, I can't let anymore try to attack me, I still have to kill that knight, and Roger.}

Ray forces himself up, watching Roger, and the other knights running towards him, with weapons drawn.

“Don’t. Don’t think you can kill me.” Ray muttered. “No matter what, I will survive!” Ray yelled, he put as much energy as he could, and sent it flying towards the knights, he collapsed on his knees, just as his energy exploded some of the knights screamed, blood flew, Ray looked up, and saw a sphere of energy coming towards him.

{You gotta be kidding me.}

Ray, while on his knees, put both of his hands out, trying to stop the sphere of energy, as the sphere made contact with his hands, Ray did his best not to make it explode.

{Redirect it, just like Sierra did, Don’t. Let. Her. Down.}

Ray ignored the pain in his hands, as he forced himself to move the sphere of energy in another direction.

“Miss Sierra, explode it! Quickly before he manages to get rid of it!” One of the knights yelled.

{No!}

Ray screamed with all his might, he elevated the sphere upwards and pushed it away, from the bottom of his eye Ray saw Sierra let out a small bolt of energy towards the sphere.

{No, I’m too late.}

The sphere was barely above Ray when Sierra bolt made contact with the sphere, the sphere exploded on top of Ray, the sound hurt everyone who was nearby. A big smoke cloud was left, the knights could see a deep crater was left behind from the blast.

Ray was in the bottom of the crater, his shirt almost destroyed, his chest can be seen through, the wounds that Sierra gave him near his heart got worse, Ray laid on his back, taking in deep breaths. Ray slowly forced himself to get up, when he heard the sound of cheering.

“We did it!”

“Miss Sierra you killed him!”

“Are they? Are they really celebrating? Do they think that they actually managed to kill me?”

Ray got out of the crater, he could barely see beyond the smoke cloud that was left, he saw the group of knights, celebrating, hugging each other. Anger filled Ray, he quickly looked through the crowd, and spotted the knight who attacked him, and Sierra, Ray couldn’t find Roger.

{How is Sierra still standing? It doesn’t matter, I think I can kill both of them from here. They still haven’t noticed me. Just breath the poison is almost healed.}

Ray charges his hand aiming to pierce the knight who attacked him, and Sierra, Ray releases the energy, quickly charging another and sending towards the direction of Sierra.

The first energy pierce the knight in the stomach, who was still celebrating, he fell on his knees clutching the fatal wound Ray gave him, As the second energy headed towards Sierra, somebody behind her grab her, and moved her out of the way, the energy bolt went past the group of knights and headed towards the church.

The energy went through the brick wall of the church, before exploding inside of it. The church bell started ringing, from the force, while the church made another eerie sound, the church was slowly tilting to the left side, before it started collapsing on itself.

The church bell fell off its hinges hitting the ground, while the bell made one last ring, dust covered the knights that were standing in front of it.

{Well that didn’t go exactly as planned, but at least I don't have to worry about that anymore, just Roger, and Sierra, and I am done.}

Ray heard footsteps behind him, Ray quickly turned around, getting ready to fight. He saw the deacon heading towards him, with anger in his eyes.

“What do you think you are doing?” Stevan demanded.

“I’m doing what a hybrid would do, destroying their enemies, and their home.”

“You will be stop.” Stevan said.

“Why are you here, leave before I kill you too.” Ray said, turning his back on the priest.

“You are a coward, killing innocents, and people who only want to protect others, are your kind nothing but selfish idiots.”

“Last warning, get out of here.” Ray demanded.

“The last thing I will do, is take orders from filthy hybrids like yourself,”

“....” Ray stood silent, keeping an eye on the destroyed church.

“What's wrong? Scared to face me, you hybrids are nothing but children, not being able to move forward, you are all the same.”

“Do not act like you know me, Stevan!” Ray warned.

“Heh, have you already forgotten the words I told you Sam?”

“Of course not Stevan.…” Ray turned around and looked at Stevan, who was gently smiling at him.

“You tricked me!?” Ray said.

“Yes, deep down, I knew you, Mister Vincent, Miss Viola, and even that woman that used to live with him, were actually hybrids.”

"You do realize I have to kill you, I can’t let you come in contact with the other knights after this.”

“Yeah, I know, I just wanted to be right, even if it cost me my life, deep down I know everything will be ok, this world will never fall to you hybrids.”

“No, it will, since you are going to die, I’ll let you know, in just under two years the pillars of your religion will fall, just like the first.”

Stevan got closer to Ray.

“If that comes to pass Sam, then I believe you will live a very miserable life.”

“Please call me Ray, that is my real name.”

“Ray, huh.”

“Yub, even though I promised to remember your words, that is a promise I won’t be able to keep, now then that old wound you have in your neck, that is from a past hybrid correct?” Ray said.

“Why yes, I showed it proudly.”

“Then allow me to finish that hybrid job for them.”

Before Stevan could react, Ray threw his hand diagonally, at the deacon neck, his head no longer connected to his body, his body crumpled to the ground, while his head fell to the ground, he still had a smile on his face.
