“I… I don’t understand.” Ray tried to say.
Vincent took a step towards Ray, Vincent's body, almost towering over Ray. Ray fought back the urge to take a step back.
“I said why haven’t you killed him, what do you not understand about that?” Vincent angrily stated, Ray could see some of Vincent black aura coming out of his body. Ray could feel pressure on his shoulders.
“I can’t kill him!” Ray said.
“Why not?” Vincent said.
“He’s inno-”
Vincent kicked Ray in the stomach, sending him flying until he hit the training room wall. Ray was on his hands, and knees. He felt dizzy, Ray looked up to see Vincent approaching him, his black aura engulfing his entire body, Viola was just looking at the body on the ground, refusing to acknowledge them.
Vincent grabs Ray's hair, and pulls him to stand, with hate in his eyes. “Do NOT forget what you are!” Vincent slowly said.
“I know what I am, I am a hybrid!” Ray declared.
“Yes, and what do hybrids do?” Vincent said.
“We killed knights.”
Vincent smacks Ray across the face, Ray drops on all fours, trying to focus his vision, his stomach was still hurting from where Vincent punched him. Vincent bended down, until his eyes met Ray.
“We killed anyone who gets in our way, be it knights, innocent, or even our own comrades.” Vincent said.
Ray grinded his teeth, trying to find the words to say to Vincent, his expectation of only killing knights, being shattered with what Vincent told him. Ray took a gulb, and talked to Vincent. “I killed already, I already did my part, I am a hybrid!” Ray declared.
“Then act like one, you actually think you're going to be able to survive everything, just by killing knights?” Vincent said, as he got closer to Ray's face. “You are extremely mistaken, innocents will try to stop you, hell they’ll even try to kill you, but in the end you’ll be the one to kill them. If you refuse to let go of this mentality, you will die in your fight with Sierra. Viola, and I didn’t train you this whole time just to have you die on us, because of something so pathetic, and weak.” Vincent said.
“I am not weak.” Ray said.
Vincent stood up, grabbed Ray's hair, and shoved him to the ground. Squishing his head between the cold hard floor, and Vincent's hand.
“Remember why you are doing this, don’t forget what they took from you.” Vincent said.
“I don’t care about that!” Ray screams, he looks at Vincent with hate in his eyes, trying his best not to burst out in anger.
“Alright then, you will make your choice right here, right now.” Vincent said, as he let go of Ray's head, Ray got on his hands, and saw Vincent walking to where the body was. Vincent easily grabbed the man by the collar, and threw him in front of Ray. Ray looked at him confused.
“Make your choice, either be like one of us, and kill him, or leave, and you will never show your face to us again.” Vincent said.
“It’s-” Ray tried to say, but was interrupted.
“I want you to decide, if you say another word, I will take that as you decide to leave, and I will personally shove you out of the house.” Vincent warned Ray.
Ray got on his feet, he glared at Vincent, who glared right back at him, he looked at Viola, who was just facing the other direction, and finally he looked down at the man he kidnapped. Ray forces his right hand over the man's body. He struggles not to shake. Ray's vision was getting blurry. He opens his palm, and aims it at the man's head.
{Remember what they took from you, my village, Charles, my dad. Dammit, I just need to act like one. Act like one, act like one, ACT LIKE ONE!}
[boom!]
Ray jumped, as blood spattered his clothes. Ray's right hand was violently shaking, he slowly put it down, to his side, he looked at the body of the man, his head with a hole on his forehead, the scarf still hiding most of his head. The blood slowly spreading across the hard gray floor, Ray started breathing fast, his vision got blurry. A hand grip his shoulder. Ray was startled, he looked quickly, and it was Viola looking worried.
“It’s over.” Viola said gently.
“No, it’s not!” Vincent said.
Vincent grabbed the scarf from the man's body, he took a good look on his face, before he spoke.
“Out of all the villagers that just had to see you, why did it have to be Paul, do you remember him? He was one of the first villagers you met, when you first came here, fresh-blood.” Vincent told Ray.
Ray took a good look at the man, he could barely recognize him, he suddenly remembered what Vincent mentioned that day.

“I ruin a family.” Ray blurted out.
“You did that before, when you killed those knights.” Vincent pointed out.
“That was different!” Ray said.
“How so?” Vincent said.
“I, I don’t know.” Ray whispered.
“Oh, I think you know.” Vincent said.
Ray looks at him, confused.
“You could live with those deaths because they were knights, they expected this might happen to them right?” Vincent said.
Ray hung his head, looking at the floor, not answering Vincent.
“You thought to yourself, their family would be ok with their deaths, because they were knights, they should have expected it to happen right.” Vincent said,as he slowly stepped around Ray.
“It was the only way.” Ray whispered.
“You lied to yourself, convinced yourself that you were in the right, but there was still a tiny bit bothering you, after all you did murdered twenty people after all.”
“They were knights!”
“They were people!” Vincent stated. “They had families, siblings, loved ones, and you took their lives because of what, they killed your weak mentor.”
“Don’t you dare talk about Charles like that!” Ray screamed, as he burst into anger, his aura engulfing him, Ray instantly threw a punch towards Vincent, but Vincent caught Ray’s hand, before it could strike him.”
“Easy there, fresh-blood, don’t forget what your master told me.” Vincent warned.
Ray pulls back his hand from Vincent's grasp, he looks at the body of Paul. “I never wanted this.” Ray whispered.
“What was that?” Vincent said.
Ray just stared at the man's body, the blood puddle almost reaching his shoes. Ray kept feeling all kinds of emotions, until he forced himself to take deep breaths. Ray looks at Vincent, and Viola before speaking.
“Is that it, can I go now?” Ray said.
“No, this isn’t even far from over, you just killed Paul, even though he was some nobody, the villagers, especially his wife would be on the hunt daily for him, and since he been one of my supporters, I am going to be expected to participate in his search, not counting what the knights are going to be doing now, you just raise more problems.” Vincent said.
“Vincent, that is enough.” Viola tried to say.
“Do not get involved Viola, I will not repeat my warning to you again, understood?”
Vincent said, as he crossed his arm, staring down Viola.
Viola looked towards Ray, as if she wanted to say more.
“I’ll just do my mission, as soon as possible so I can just leave this damn village.” Ray explained.
“Oh no, because of that little stunt you tried to pull trying to hit me! I let it go the first time, because you didn’t know me, but know it differently, count yourself lucky I didn’t kill you outright, for that.” Vincent told Ray.
“I!...” Ray knew better than to argue, Vincent was right. “What do you want me to do?” Ray said.
“I won’t be too unreasonable, when you are on your mission, if ANY person attacks you with a weapon, or their bare hands, you will kill them. I do not care if there are knights, or a random villager, if they decided to attack you, then they decided to die, do you understand?” Vincent said.
“That is going to be every knight, I won’t have the energy!” Ray explained.
“Then you will die, Viola will make sure that you kill all the people who attacked you, you won’t leave a single one of them alive, if you do then I will consider this a failed mission, even if you live, do you understand?”
“Yes, sir.” Ray said, defeated.
“Good, now let's get rid of this mess.” Vincent said, as walked back to where the body of Paul was, Vincent held out his palm towards the body, and shot a black sphere to it. The sphere covered the entire body, nothing could be seen inside of it, soon the sphere rose up, the sphere continued rising, until it was halfway up the room above Ray, and others, and soon it popped.
Ray instictly covered his face, expecting blood falling everywhere, but he looked where the sphere was, and only faint of black smoke was in place of the sphere. Vincent just looked at the smoke, with his hands in his pockets, he spoke out loud.
“I dissengrated the body, it's a good thing nobody can be down here but us, now then Viola, can you clean the rest of the room, fresh-blood go to your room, I’m done for today.”
Ray looked at Viola, who only nodded her head. Ray understood, and headed back to his room, he took one last glimpse at the room, Vincent back was facing him, Viola walked towards Vincent, and the blood puddle seemed to go in every direction. Ray force himself to his room, and closed the door, and got in his bed, and started thinking about the days events
{He’s right, I was too naive, I thought killing knights would be enough but it’s not! It's NOT enough. Just kill her quick and leave the village, go pack to Vincent and report on a mission success. Did I really think it was going to be that easy? I am an idiot. I have to attack in the next few days, when did this happen so fast, it was like just yesterday, I set out with Vincent, now here I am, my first mission. Killing Sierra, knights, and possibly innocent people, whoever attacks me, has to die, no exceptions. Just like Vincent did with those two men.} Ray got up from his bed, and headed for the bathroom.
{Can I really be like one of them, kill people on a whim, would the people even fear me?....What a horrible future, I would never want that, but… I have too, I can’t be weak, I have to be useful to master Senya. and I have to see you again Eda. I really hope I get to see you soon. I wished I could ask for your help.}
Back in the training room, Viola walks to Vincent, and grabs his arm.
“Tell me the truth, if he refused to kill Paul, what would you have actually done?” Viola said worriedly.
Vincent looked at her confused. “I would have killed him on the spot, I gave him that false choice, of walking away, to see what he would really do. He’s lucky his sister is still alive, I'm sure if she ever dies, Ray would lose all hope and probably give himself up.” Vincent said.
“I see,” Viola said.
“I meant what I told him Viola, you will make sure he kills everyone who attacks him, you will not save him, even if he already killed Sierra.”
“Yes, Vincent, I will make sure he completely does his mission correctly, I won’t interfere until I see he has killed everyone that has physically attacked him.”
Vincent took a moment to think over what Viola just said, before letting it go. “Good, it won’t be much longer now, for his sake, I do hope he succeeds, if not then, I am sure his master won’t mind either way, right Viola?” Vincent said.
“Right, Vincent.”
