Interlude - A wizards study

Interlude - A wizards study

Dora the Archemage was in trouble. His servants have been on the search for multiple months, and even his own team didn't find as much of a trace of a possible dragon. Surely the greedy Pastor had a hand with the sudden disappearance. Dora always knew the Pastor wasn't fond of magic, but going so far to kill and hide dragons... No, he certainly didn't expect that.

Silently he stroked his white beard. His feet always stepped in an O-shape to avoid the tip of his long beard. A beard was the pride of a magician, and sometimes even allowed him to cast spells faster.

One of his servants broke through his chamber doors.

"Dora, Dora, We've found the corpse of a dragon! With this we can finally save the donkey, Dopamine!"

"Hmm... Is that so?" Dora replied. "Let's send off an expedition team then."

The servant shook his head. "I've already sent one group, but the dragon is too heavy for them to carry."

Dora's eyes twinkled, and eagerly he stepped forward, much to the surprise of the servant.

"What a wonderful opportunity to try out my new gravity magic! After those changes made by the AI, it became so easy to learn new skills!"

With a slight glee he stared at his status page.

"Where is the dragon?" Dora, the Archewizard asked.

"It's corpse is in a cave. Our workers only followed the trail to the entrance, the opening is blocked with a seal."

Dora stroked his beard and said, "Let's get going then." He then walked out of his chamber.

The servant peeked inside his room. Books were littered everywhere, often depicting strange symbols and incomprehensible chants. Whole shelves filled the study towering above him. He knew Dora summons his books to him if he needs to read one. One touch, and the shelves might topple over like domino stones.

Shuddering slightly at the implications for his presence in the room, he left the room and quietly closed the door.

At last, they would be able to save Dopamine, the donkey.
