From my long and thorough analysis. I had deduced that when the bear becomes weak it roars. When it roars its skin becomes significantly harder, not as hard as when it uses its stoneskin ability, but still hard. It also gains the ability to summon spikes of stone periodically. Overall, very ####ing dangerous.
With my new evolution I felt that I stood a very good chance of taking it down. I charged the bear raking my claws along its side. It slashed at me which I easily dodged, dancing backwards. The bear was heavily bleeding and it had minutes left to live, all I had to do was avoid dying. That was when things went badly. I had gotten cocky and was doing risking attacks when things went badly I dodge a head bash and was trash talking the bear when a stone spike pierced me.
Luckily I was able to prevent it from killing me with my quick reactions, but it still pierced my back leg significantly reducing my movement. I immediately retreated, all I had to do was survive for another 30 seconds or so and the bear was significantly slower than before with all the blood it had lost.
Barely getting away the bear died less than 5 feet behind me. I was calming down and checking my surroundings when I got some notifications.

Anyways as I was heading back to my den I noticed something odd. Now that the bear was gone the area around where it had lived seemed more vibrant and… earthier? As I walked I thought about that I figured it must have been the elemental was absorbing the nearby earth mana/energy and when I killed it some of it went back to the world and a little went to me, buffing my stats and abilities.
Time for some philosophy about this world. If only I had concrete answers to some of my questions about how this world worked. For example, what was this menu system? Who was the demon who put me here furthermore, what does he want? All questions I don't know the answer to. It was time I decided. To go and attempt to find civilization. I may not be able to talk to the people but I can at least listen in and figure out how this world works.
When I arrived at my den I settled in for the night making plans for how I would travel. I figure I would travel along the river because a river seems like a place a town would be made.
