After a nice nap. I was tired after all of that me dying, getting reincarnated in a new body, running from unidentified large monsters, and realizing I'm surrounded by forest. I decided to go look for something to eat, as I crawled out of my den I noticed that the sun was beginning to set, perfect, it was hunting time.
Before I died I had hunted a couple of times with a friend, so I assumed with this new body made for hunting and my human experiences with hunting I would probably be pretty good at hunting. I was wrong. It was really, really hard to get used to having to close in on your prey. First, you have to find it which is easier because I have a wolf’s nose now, then you have to stalk closer to it, preferably downwind. Finally, you have to pounce and kill it quickly otherwise it will make so much noise all the other prey even remotely nearby flee.
When I got back to my den when the moon was close to the peak of its travel I had caught a chicken-like thing that was absurdly hard to touch when it was alive, and the only reason I caught it was because I had trapped it in its den. The other animal I caught just seemed to be a normal squirrel as far as I could tell.

The next morning when I was walking outside I noticed something strange. There did not seem to be any animals anywhere near my den, it honestly concerned me because the only time I remember something like this happening when I was a human was because there was a massive storm coming. There were no clouds in the sky so I wasn't too worried though.
I should have been worried. Holy shit. I just saw a DRAKE, a drake is basically a small dragon without fire breath. Or at least I think that's what it is. I don’t think it smelled me so I feel that I am safe for now but I will need to deal with that at some point.
When I got back to my den I took another nap, it seems wolves sleep a lot but when I woke up I noticed I had a few problems. The drake was near me, I could smell it, and I’m hungry. Really Really hungry. This can’t possibly go badly.
