"Hmm I think so as well, let me think where should we go next," Jian Li said, and a pondering look appeared on his face, "oh I know let's go to Mistvale city."

"Why do you think so?" Kai Ren asked with a questioning look.

"Because the city has a battle Colosseum where you can battle with other humans while earning some rewards," Jian Li replied to Kai Ren's question.

"And when you are comfortable with fighting against other humans, you can also participate in a death match and increase your skills via going through several life and death battles." Jian Li further explained.

"Hmm, do I really have to kill humans?" Kai Ren asked again with a somewhat hesitant look on his face.

"Oh right, you still haven't killed a human, I totally forgot about that." Jian Li said as a look of realization dawned upon his face.

"We can't have that, if you really want to continue on the path of cultivation, you need to be decisive to kill in a battle, or the one getting killed will be you." Jian Li continued. "Also you need to get used to the cunningness of humans."

"So, lets get you're first kill." Jian Li said with a cheerful expression, like he was not talking about killing someone.

"But who are we going to kill?" Kai Ren asked with a still hesitant look.

"Hmm, since this will be your first time killing someone, lets look for some bandits so that you don't feel to much burden on your consinuos." Jian Li replied to him with a thoughtful look.

"Well, let's get going now," Jian Li said as he started walking toward the exit of Shadowfang forest, "We still need to look for some bandits for you to kill."

After Kai Ren saw Jian Li was starting to get further away, he hurriedly chased after him.

After they got out of Shadowfang forest, they started looking for Bandits everywhere. But it seemed like all the bandits had just vanished into thin air as they could not find any bandits even after five days.

On the sixth day, they finally came across a group of bandits who were in the process of robbing a merchant caravan.

When they saw them, Jian Li immediately jumped onto them but did not kill any of them.

After he was done with them, he captured all of them and brought them toward Kai Ren and said,

"Now, Brother Kai, who should we start with? Hmm, let's see, Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, right so lets go with you," Jian Li said while pointing toward one of the bandits, who got deathly pale after realizing what was gonna happen to him.

"P-please don't kill me I beg you, please," The bandit begged them, but Jian Li just dislocated his jaw by kicking him in the face to shut him up.

"Keep quiet, you rascal. Did you let any of those you robbed before live? Did they not beg you? No, you killed all of them, and I bet you enjoyed yourself dearly while doing it." Jian Li berated the bandit who was begging them.

If Jian Li was just here to kill them, the bandits would have been dead the moment Jian Li's finger was pointed toward him, but Jian Li wanted Kai Ren to get used to killing, so he said all that to make Kai Ren feel a little more comfortable while killing them.

Jian Li then turned toward Kai Ren and said, "Brother Kai, what are you still waiting for, take out your sword and kill them already."

Hearing Jian Li's words, Kai Ren took out his SkyBreaker sword and started to move toward the bandit Jian Li had pointed toward before.

"!@#$%&!@#$%"

The bandit wanted to beg for mercy, but because Jian Li already dislocated his jaw, he was only able to make some weird noises with a pleading expression toward Kai Ren.

Seeing the pleading look on the bandit's face, Kai Ren got a little hesitant and was about to let him go, but Jian Li's voice sounded from behind him,

"Brother Kai, if you don't want to kill him I won't force you to do it but, Grandfather told me about your past, and from what I know you want to kill those who destroyed your village alongside their factions, don't you." Jian Li said

"But you should know that not everyone in their factions will be evil, and a lot of people might be innocent. Will you let them go just because they were innocent, will you let go of those two just because they begged you for mercy?" By this point, Jian Li's words turned to a roar.

"Kai Ren, Do you want your revenge or not? Because if you can't kill them today then you should forget about your revenge and just keep on living your life as a normal person." Jian Li questioned Kai Ren's resolve for revenge.

Hearing Jian Li's words, Kai Ren's entire demeanor changed, and he started to look like an emotionless killer. His grip around the SkyBreaker Sword tightened, and without any hesitation, he slashed toward the bandit, beheading him in a single strike.

There was still a shocked look on the bandit's face as he was not able to understand why did Kai Ren, who was looking hesitant to kill him changed so much and slashed at him without any hesitation. Alas, he will never get his answers.

After killing the first bandit, Kai Ren did not stop and turned toward the other bandits, who were still kneeling on the ground with pale faces.

Without any hesitation, he slashed toward them and killed them all one by one.

After he was done with the bandits, Kai Ren turned toward Jian Li and said,

"I will kill any and every person related to those two bastards that killed my sister."

When Jian Li saw the look on Kai Ren's face, even he was intimidated for a second, but the next second, a smile appeared on his face, and he said, "That's the spirit, yes we will kill all of them."

"ammm, Excuse m-Ahh!"

While they were having their own conversation, a voice sounded beside them, which prompted Kai Ren to instinctively attack toward it.

Fortunately for the owner of the voice, Kai Ren was in a lower realm than Jian Li, which allowed him to react in time to block Kai Ren's attack.

When they turned toward the source of the voice, they saw a beautiful young woman standing there with a pale face and tears streaming down her face.

When Jian Li saw the woman, he hurriedly apologized to her and said, "I am really sorry, miss. It's just that you startled us, and my friend wasn't in the right state of mind, which led him to attack you on his instincts."

"I-its okay, it was m-my own fault to s-sud-ddenly int-intrude on your co-conversation."

The woman, still pale from fright, somehow managed to say a few words. Though she tried to put up a brave front, her trembling voice still showed how scared she was.

Jian Li, who saw this, took some time to calm the trembling woman and then said, "Ah, how rude of me. I still did not introduce myself. My name's Jian Li, a rouge cultivator, and this is my sworn brother Kai Ren."

Kai Ren gave Jian Li a questioning look when he heard him call them rogue cultivators, but when he saw the hints he was giving him by winking, he decided to play along with him for now and ask him about it later.

"M-my name is Sofia, Sofia Maxwell, the young mistress of the Maxwell family in the Mistvale city." The young woman, Sofia, Introduced herself right after Jian Li.

Although she was feeling much better, there was still a hint of fear in her voice.

"Thankyou, for saving our lives, if not for you I don't know what would have happened to us." Sofia thanked both Jian Li and Kai Ren.

"I don't have much to give to you both for saving our lives, but if you ever come to Mistvale city, please visit the Maxwell mansion and show them this emblem, they will take good care of you." Sofia said while handing them an emblem with an '𝓜' symbol on it.

"Oh, you are from Mistvale city, I guess we are in luck as were also planing to go there," Jian Li said after hearing Sofia introduce herself as the heiress of a family in Mistvale city.

"Really, that's great, saviors. Why don't you travel with us? I promise you a comfortable ride to Mistvale City." Sofia smiled charmingly and said.

One reason to invite them was indeed to repay them for their help, but the main reason Sofia invited them was as a protection against beasts and bandits.

After all, how could the mortal guards she had hold a candle against Jian Li and Kai Ren, who were strong cultivators?

Though Jian Li immediately saw through her scheme, he just smiled and said nothing about it.

"Than we will be in your care." Jian Li said with a polite smile.

"Great, than lets go." Sofia immediately became a lot more cheerful after hearing Jian Li agree to her offer.
