Chapter 6

The entrance to the cave is blocked by concrete. I sigh and store the block in my item box. Did I mention I had an item box? It’s a common trope so of course, you know what it is, just felt like I should mention that I actually had one. In case you’re a normal person who hasn’t read every isekai manga (God bless your soul) It’s a pocket dimension that houses an infinite storage capacity.

I address my army of slaves. There has to be over one hundred of them. Where am I going to store them? I open the store system and go into the dungeon expansion tab. For a sum of points, you can instantly clear out a large area of dirt and furnish the room. I scroll through nothing seems too useful until I get to the pocket dimension upgrades. For one thousand DP I can buy a portal to a pocket dimension, similar to the item box, but able to house living beings. The basic is just a large cave, but the expensive version comes with an artificial sun. Too bad that it’s over a thousand DP.

A sound like the fabric of space-time tearing apart is heard over me. I look up just in time to watch as corpses rain down upon me.

I am buried in corpses. “Get me out of here!” I yell to my slaves. They help me out.

“Throw the corpses into the dungeon. Let it absorb them.”

I place the portal at the end of one of the mineshafts the skeletons have been digging. Then teleport back to the entrance. “Everyone enter and I’ll teleport you to your new home.”

They shuffle into the dungeon.

“Alert! Intruders!” I ignore the system's warning and try to teleport my slaves to the portal. It doesn’t work. I guess I shouldn’t ignore the system’s warning. They aren’t minions or part of the dungeon. I can not teleport them around willy nilly. I march them around the bottomless pit through the second room packed with skeleton soldiers and down an almost endless mineshaft. We enter a dazzling plane of existence. I can hear my slaves gasp as they go through the portal. I enter behind them and would have inadvertently gasped myself if my lungs were not MIA. We went from a three by six shaft into a great plain. Golden wheat as far as the eye can see.The artificial wind makes it dance like a golden ocean. The sun is so bright it hurts my eye sockets.

“+1000 DP.” The system pings me.

“What?”

“Why am I getting so much DP randomly?” Did my slaves die? I check the cameras, but no they are all still alive. They work like ants building houses and starting farms.

I show the screen to Lillia. “Any thoughts?”

“Congratulations. That’s a lot of DP.”

“I meant thoughts on how I got so much.”

“Probably all the intruders you brought home. You get DP for every hour you have intruders in the dungeon.”

“Every hour?”

If bones could sweat; I’d be a fountain. I’m rich. I open the shop and flip through it with reckless abandon. Like a house wife who just got her stimulus check. So many great things that I can buy now!

The knowledge of how to raise the dead, five hundred!

A sword that consumes souls, only six hundred!

A wyvern for one thousand!

I scroll as far down as I can under the dragon tag. Wyvern is the cheapest. The most expensive is an ancient dragon for only one hundred thousand DP. I can get that in five days!

I’m rich. The richest dungeon master on planet Earth!
