So the boss had a second phase- or at least some form of sub-phase that it gets into so that the crab can compensate for the death of the anemone. Jacob did not know if and it's a pretty big if- the crab can scream like that again because if it could, then he's sure that the Dungeons are way too game like for him to not feel creeped out by their existence, questions like "Why are they here," And "What made them" were thrown away because if Gods exist then there's a possibility that it's them that made the Dungeons.
What for? Who knows- Jacob didn't want to, and he doesn't want to bother knowing about it either.
For now, the crab in front of him is the bigger problem that he should focus on instead of the philosophical meaning behind the creation of Dungeons.
He ran forward and shot the crab a [Sharp-Bolt] that hit the thing in the face, like the first time he tried it, it didn't do anything other than crack the shell but at least the damage is there and if he can cause its shell to crack with [Sharp-Bolt]s, then Jacob wouldn't mind shooting it with more of the stuff. He did so again and got the attention of both the crab and the knights.
"What are you doing?!" one of the armored quartet yelled, "You can't attract its attention!"
"It's fine! Use that yell that gave confidence again!" He yelled back as he shot another [Sharp-Bolt[ towards the crab, it caused the thing to yell but it wasn't like the one that sewed chaos earlier, it was far more normal and pained, "Get everyone together, I can survive this thing long enough till then!"
Reluctantly, the knights ran away from the crab under the words of the shielded leader and now, it was just Jacob and the Crustacean. Using both hands, Jacob channeled another pair of spells, on his left was an empty [Shield] spell without amp, and on the right is [Sharp-Bolt] that was quickly getting pumped with amp- when the magic circle went full, a yellow bullet came out of his palm and by a stroke of luck, hit the crab square on the mouth, causing blood to spill out in large quantities.
Another scream- then the crab went much faster.
Jacob hopped away and filled the dormant [Shield] spell on his left whilst pushing a surge of the amp to a new [Sharp-Bolt] to his right. The bolt got shut out in favor for a simple distraction so that the [Shield] spell get up to full power. When the magic circle shook, Jacob activated it and a yellow barrier in front of him.
A few seconds later, as he filled another [Sharp-Bolt] spell, the crab came upon him and started throwing a flurry of blows against his [Shield]. Someone, somewhere yelled for Jacob's safety but he wasn't able to focus on that as he popped an extra shield spell on his left hand in preparation for when it breaks, despite his spell use eating up his amp, the flurry of blows that the boss is throwing at his shield is enough to make up for that.
It only took a short time for his barrier to break and when it did, Jacob was prepared to raise another one- a cycle happened and it continued until he raised three [Shield]s consecutively, and it was only halfway through the third one that a [Fireball] came out of the blue and hit the crab, distracting it long enough to leave Jacob alone.
He breathed a sigh of relief as the team of Divers started attacking the crab and the crustacean, in turn, did the same to them. The knight's shield were holding on against the crab's pincers well enough and from the looks of it, they seem to be able to take two to three hits from the massive crab. Nothing compared to Jacob's own [Shield] which can take in six and more depending on the situation but that's only because of the way his [Shield] eats up energy to fuel both itself and Jacob with Amp.
Wiping his brow, Jacob popped another magic circle for [Sharp-Bolt] into both his hands, he fueled them both simultaneously and when they were about to get full, he raised his hands and shot the crab from the back two times repeatedly.

It resulted in cracks forming on its carapace, a painful yell that made everyone panic as well as stalactites to fall, and then, to add another layer to the danger cake, a bunch of brown marbles the size of his torso washed up on the shore- It only took a single look from Jacob to see that they were eggs. Specifically, crab eggs.
And the damn things were about to hatch.
The knights started yelling, "There are eggs on the shore! Keep yourselves steady!" Which more or less had the same effect Jacob wanted from it earlier: Almost everyone calmed down and even when some of the other divers were panicking, there were enough of calm divers to put the defensive formation back together.
Jacob ran to all of them and stopped in front of the knight, "I think the crab is gonna start yelling when it receives enough damage." He pointed out an observation borne from spending nights playing video games, "And the effects are fairly obvious so..." He stared at the shore, "You guys wiped out the little crablings while I keep their daddy distracted?"
"Daddy?" Jacob ignored the tone of the knight that asked that. Why the hell does his own words not translate to the language of everyone else?
"Da da or something." Jacob shook his head to hide his red face and decided to just say it in the simplest term that's possible, "It's what children call their parents."
With a nod, the knight moved away and went away to chase the other divers. Jacob meanwhile raised a foot and stomped the head of a maggot, crushing it and killing the creature with a pained squeal. He activated the [Shield] spell he'd been fueling up and ran to the crab and as he watched the crab slowly walk sideways, his eyes wandered to the yellow barrier in front of him and an idea popped up.
He shot another bolt at the crab and the boss turned to him with an enraged roar, it raised both its hands and then started going after him. Jacob let his [Shield] take the first heat and then proceeded to circle the crab and like he thought, it was slow at that sort of thing.
'Should've thought of this sooner.' Jacob thought as he took a turn and an opening that he'd been waiting for came- with his barrier being only placed in front of him, his sides were open and that's both a benefit and a detriment. In this case, it was a benefit because it allowed him to shoot the crab during his turns and pivots.
And with him circling the crab, the turns and pivots came often enough that the crab's cracked shell started bleeding well before the other divers managed to wipe out the creature's "summoned minions".
Another yell came and said minions grew larger and empowered while the other divers started panicking, a yell came from the distance and Jacob can only hope that he didn't manage to kill someone on accident.
"Come on! We wipe them out before the other eggs hatched! We can do this!" One of the knights yelled and that got a boisterous series of roaring agreements from the other divers.
For a moment, Jacob thought that someone was staring at him but the feeling disappeared just as quickly as it had come.
Not that he cares, being too busy trying to block gigantic pincers did that to someone, after all. The barrier in front of him rippled just as another pincer came down on it and Jacob grit his teeth he continued to circle the thing, more attacks came and gave him amp, in exchange, he channeled more of his bolts and started raining it down on the crustacean.
Parts of its shell are now outright gone, replaced by the blood-red muscle underneath. The pipe-like things pulled and went taut every time the crab moved and it made them more tempting to target with his spells. Raising his hand, Jacob... hesitated and eyed the battle on the beach, there, the other divers looked to be struggling against the small crabs so with a sigh, Jacob shot a full powered [Sharp-Bolt] at the crab's legs, because of how thin they were, it did nothing and actually even missed.
He then ran away from the boss and into its children where he helped the other divers with the child slaughter. When they were wiped out, he faced the panting knights and other warriors- his state wasn't all that different from theirs though Jacob noted that it was because he was tired from running instead of going against a fight for his life.
"The boss' shell has cracked, and muscles are showing. I don't think he's even gonna yell again but I didn't want to risk it so..." He explained as calmly as he could, "Yeah." He added awkwardly, "We go kill him?"
The lead knight nodded, "Come on, let's finish this." he faced the crab and took a step forward, "I'm curious about what kind of rewards defeating the cracked boss of this Dungeon is."
"Cracked?" Jacob asked, like the drug?
"Yes. Sometimes when someone manages to trigger a boss, this happens." He explained, "I thought that you'd know about it."
Jacob shook his head, well, he actually didn't. "I just... I thought that the word sounded like one of the drugs where I come from."
The knight didn't reply and just nodded, he, just like everyone else, slowly made their way back to the crab with Jacob in tow, now that they're on the final phase of the fight, he thought that fighting the boss on his own better be worth it because if he didn't get an extra cut for this, he'd strangle someone to death.
