After 24 hours Chrono logged in. Expecting he would spawn in the city of Mafoso, he was surprised when he spawned at the Mountain of the Fallen God. What surprised him more was that his current body was not his usual character’s body!!
"(Is this some kind of curse for killing the dragon?)"
His current body was small. Small enough to be called a gnome. In his vicinity he saw the dragon’s remains but it was 10 times bigger than he remembered. After a while, he realized even his face and body were not the same. He thought his avatar got smaller, but in reality it was a completely new body. Panicked, he walked around to comprehend what had actually happened.
After a while, Seth logged in. He saw Chrono in panic and couldn’t help but be amused by the situation. Seth then told Chrono how his skill worked. 'Soul Snatch' can be used on any dying user or NPC. The soul could be REPLACEed into a golem which could use every skill when it was alive and was loyal to the master unconditionally. If the soul was from a user, the golem will only obey the master if that particular user is offline. If the user logs in, that user will take control of their golem body.
Seth used this skill characteristic as an advantage and cleverly used it to prevent Chrono from respawning in the nearest city when he died. Seth didn't tell the fact he snatched Chrono’s soul out of good intention, instead he play around with Chrono.
"Can you turn me back?" Chrono seemed nervous.
-"Yes, but on one condition. I snatch the ancient dragon soul too...." A smirk came out. On his right hand, Seth held a moving dragon like the golem. The dragon golem was small enough to fit in Seth’s hand, but it was as large as the Ancient Dragon for Chrono in his mini form.
Feeling uneasy, Chrono prostrated.
"Please!! forgive me if I did anything wrong! I will repent for my sin and do whatever you want. Please forgive me!"
-"What did you do wrong? I don't remember anything. Except there's a certain dragon that I chipped away more than 80% of its life. I don't see the dragon anywhere now. Surely no one killed it right? Because if he did, in the gaming world that kind of action is called KILL STEALING. A deed everyone despises" An eerie smile formed on Seth’s face. He spoke while sitting on the dragon’s head.
"I thought you needed help. I'm sorry!!" Realizing what was wrong, Chrono tried to apologize. Chrono saw Seth holding the dragon like golem in his hand. The golem moved like it was alive. To mini Chrono, that dragon golem is as big as Ancient Dragon that was slain by him.
-"Answer my question. Are you really a level 50 merchant? How can you damage the dragon like that?"
Chrono explained to Seth that guns were introduced a year ago and how gun mechanics work. He also explained about why the dragon’s life was at full and its extra aggressiveness towards Seth.
-"Hmm...So I lacked the game’s latest info. But to fight like that I can tell you are quite skilled, why did you choose to become a merchant?"
"It's because until recently, I thought I wanted to play casually. But when I decided to play seriously, it was too late since one person can only have one character."
- "I see. Okay, I'm satisfied with your answer." Seth got up and held his staff.
'Soul Release!!'
*************
Even though Chrono returned to his real body, he was still docile. It was because Seth was too powerful for him.
"Thank you.” When he returned to his body, a few game messages popped up.
trting!!

Chrono gained a whopping 30 levels!! Since its a boss monster for max level clans to hunt, It gave a large amount of experience. Seth took something out then gave it to Chrono.
- "Here, take it." It's a soul orb, one of Seth’s many artifacts.
"Is it okay? Why?" Chrono was puzzled.
-"You deserve it more since you were the one who slayed the dragon. I was just joking around earlier." Seth smiled. He didn't really mind Chrono slaying the dragon since he was actually in a pinch back then.
"But you need it more than me since you need souls to use skills."
-"Nah, I actually have more." Seth lifted his robe and showed Chrono the 'Soul Orbs' inside his cloth. Chrono’s jaw dropped when he saw at least 10 more "Soul Orbs".
".........Thanks I will gladly accept it."
-"By the way, you can take the other loot I don't really need it. The corpse will disappear after a month. So you can take your time"
After adding Chrono as a friend, Seth used his town scroll and left. Chrono walked towards the secret warehouse door to complete his quest. Using the key he got from Mafoso’s lord, he entered the warehouse.
trting!!
You have completed the quest "Merchant’s secret stash"
By Completing the quest, you gain ownership of the secret warehouse that rivals the Emperor’s.
level up,
level up,
level up,
level up,
level up.
One thing after another! There's no real reward for the quest, but regaining access to the storage room is big for a merchant. And 5 level ups is a big plus.
"(I may not return here for a very long time. I should explore a bit)"
The warehouse wasn't completely empty. There were old and rusty items here and there. When receiving the quest, Chrono did his research. Apparently, the warehouse was made by a user named Vanijah. He was a wealthy merchant that ambitiously made the warehouse to keep his fortune. Unfortunately, 5 year ago he deleted his character for some reason. Because of this, Emperor saga’s AI generated the quest for other usesr to inherit the warehouse .While wandering around, Chrono stumbled upon a book.
VANIJAH DIARY
Obviously the book was also generated by Emperor Saga’s AI since no one writes a diary inside a game. Expecting something, Chrono read the book. The book basically spoke about Vanijah’s greatness and how wealthy he was. But Chrono continued to read the book diligently. And finally it came to the part where Vanijah build the warehouse.
Trrting!!
Vanijah didn't build the warehouse normally, Vanijah workers didn't need to venture up the mountain to get to the summit. Instead, he used an ancient merchant’s skill to summon thousands of workers and the building material directly to the mountain’s summit when building the warehouse.
By reading Vanijah’s legacy, you inherit 'Ancient Merchant’s Secret'. The skill will overwrite 'Merchant’s Secret' skill
Trembling in excitement, Chrono shout
"Ancient Merchant Secret!"
Ancient Merchant Secret (level 1 0%) : Create a warp portal to transmit item between you and secret warehouse (20 mana)
Find this and other great novels on the author's preferred platform. Support original creators!
"Yeahh!!!" Chrono shouted while clenching his fist in joy. By overwriting 'Merchant’s Secret' skill, Chrono lost the -50% speed penalty that the skill gave. Merchant is a class that has on of the highest stats because of their many manufacturing skills. But merchant is still the weakest class in combat and one of the reasons is 'Merchant’s Secret' skill -50% speed penalty. With the penalty gone, Chrono could at least survive in a fight.
And the 'Ancient Merchant’s Secret' skill can be called one of the best utility skills in the game. Now Chrono doesn't even need to carry a pocket bag since the skill itself can be defined as a walking storage room!!
Chrono was extremely overjoyed with this development. He decided to tidy up the warehouse as he would use it frequently from now on. Because of the size of the warehouse, Chrono only tidyied 3 out of 1,000 storage rooms. He thought that was good enough for now since one storage room was equal to a clan storage room. In those rooms he separated salvageable items and junk items. For weapons and armor, Chrono tried to reconstruct them with his blacksmith skill. The result, Chrono managed to salvage 150 weapons and armor and 15 normal clothes.
************************
Chrono took out his dagger and started to slice the Ancient Dragon corpse to bits. He managed to loot various Dragon parts. In the beast’s stomach, there was some equipment. It seems Ancient Dragon ate that equipment from the users it had slain. Chrono took it as an extra good fortune.
Ancient Dragon bone is made from orihalcum, the best material in the world to make a weapon from. It seems in Emperor Saga, high level boss monster corpse enable user to obtained rare material to craft artifact level item. Chrono took some of the bone to the warehouse and made blacksmith tools. Then, he took a huge chunk of the bone and started to think about what kind of weapon he should forge.
Ancient Dragon’s corpse will disappear after another 2 more week, Chrono needed to forge the weapon fast. After a few moments, he decided to make a giant sword. Firstly, he smelted the bone and hammered it over and over to increase its hardness. After 3 days, the giant sword finally took its shape. It was a 10 meter long sword and its edge was exceptionally sharp. There's no way anyone could equip the sword. But Chrono still decorated the sword beautifully. The sword’s curly edge and beautifully crafted sword hilt added to its artistic value. After the fifth day, the sword was finally completed.

Even though the sword couldn't be used by anyone, Chrono was extremely satisfied with his blacksmithing work. The remaining dragon bones were enough to make 7 more swords. But Chrono decided to compact the material by smelting it over and over and making one sword that he could use.
The smelting process alone took 4 days. Even in its incomplete state, the sword showed an exceptionally sharp edge and great durability. Then he took out the "Soul Orb" and used his 'Gem-Cutting' skill to cut it into 5 smaller orbs. 1 orb was bigger than the other 4. He embedded the orb into the sword and forged it again to harmonize the sword with the orb. Then, he fine-tuned the sword for him to use and finally he made the finishing touch by wrapping the sword hilt with a piece of dragon cloth he made from dragon hair.
