As Ragni charged towards the group of locusts, the locusts charged back. Facing the muscles of the berserker the locusts all met a swift end. Even if they saw countless of their brethren die the locusts still charged to their death.

These were black plague locusts they were very weak individually but strong when grouped. Their blood was very special, and being affected by it caused the opponent to experience a decrease in the percentage of stats that stacked infinitely.

Ragni frowned as he saw his status condition.

A howl came from his mouth that popped all the locusts in a 15-meter distance around him. The locusts exploded into black blood as they felt the ear-piercing roar from Ragni.

The veins of his arms started to bulge while gripping the sword in his hand. He moved his arms as a cross slash shot out.

The cross slash cleaved through the group of locusts and was only stopped from reaching the shaman after it was obstructed by an elemental shield from the shaman.

He was the leader of the team for a reason as his strength was not just for boast. Seeing the cross slash that was barely stopped by his shield, the shaman stared daggers at Gillfried.

"Humans, why do you wish to kill me?"

"Well it doesn't matter since this will be your burial, I have been blessed by the power of God."

Ever since he got the power of the throne his confidence in himself had inflated. He originally wouldn't be able to sustain a spell like this for such a long period but with the throne, it was as easy as drinking water.

"Hahaha feel the power of my wrath." Laughing manically the shaman cast more spells as a volley of poisonous arrows shot towards the party. The volley of arrows was unrelenting as Ragni and Gillfried had to not only deal with the locusts but against the poisonous arrows now.

"Isn't this bad?"

Maria commented in worry as she watched the situation, she had been clearing the status of the two by casting her spell [Mercury's Whisper] it cleared debuffs on targets, but the debuff was constantly being refreshed by the locusts.

"It's not a problem." Enki replied, his pale face and tired eyes were paying attention to the ranger. He already linked shadows with him, and was just waiting for an opportunity to ambush the shaman.

"Leo should be able to get close to the shaman, and I'll be able to cast some spells with [Linked Shadow]."

As if on cue, the shaman was blasting spells at Gillfried and Ragni when a dagger slashed at his neck. He blocked the dagger with his right hand but the dagger slashed through his fingers. Luckily it provided time for him to evade the dagger that was slashing at his neck.

He finally had a good look at who was attacking him, a rogue in a dark green leathery outfit was rushing at him. He prepared to blast him with another spell when chains flew out from the rogue's shadow.

[Linked Shadow] not only allowed him to teleport to the target but it also allowed the shadow priest to send spells across the shadow.

1.5 seconds sounded like a short time but it was quite deadly in this interval. The shaman couldn't move and the ranger activated another skill, [Swift Strikes: Allows the user to perform 5 quick slashes], his hands moved so fast that when the chains finally released. The shaman had already been severed in multiple places.

Following the death of the shaman the locusts that were attacking Ragni and Gillfried all exploded in place, losing the medium that allowed them to exist, they naturally died. But that wasn't all.
