The next morning, the party gathered back at the court. Awaiting them was the Queen of the Elves Yuana Farlan.

"The idea is simple." The Queen said, explaining her plan. "Our mages have already investigated the portal. And we know the general area that the monsters that attacked us came from. We are going to teleport you into the area and have you explore. You may have to fight monsters so be prepared for combat. We will give you an Item that will allow you to teleport back to Fenleman once you are done. Be warned, once they spot you, you may only have one shot at finding anything in the area. If you teleport away before finding everything, they may try to leave, giving us a cold trail."

"We understand Queen," Fenn said, an almost arrogant smirk on his face. "We will find what we can and we will slay all who oppose us." Queen Yuana just nodded.

"Make sure you do." She said before singling a mage on her side to give Traris a magical pin. "This is the return pin. Make sure not to lose it. It will be difficult to find you otherwise." Traris just nodded gravely before pinning it to his combat robes. "Mages, begin the teleport."

Four mages made their way to the party. positioning themselves in the cardinal directions, they started chanting. All at once the party disappeared from the court of the elven queen and reappeared in the wilderness.

The party was at first disoriented but mostly regained their composure. Traris, who barfed his breakfast on the floor, and Fenn, although fine from the teleport, were blinded by the sunlight.

The party for their part just chose a direction and walked that way, none of them seeming to know where to go. Suddenly, a group of monsters appeared from behind some foliage and attacked.

A savage demon rushed forward swinging at Mag with an axe, the attack caught her off guard and the axe hit, cutting her.

A bugbear ran up to Luca raising its Morningstar, it's smashed down onto her. Although the weapon hit, Luca's armor absorbed most of the impact.

Another savage demon appeared. swinging at Traris, hitting him right in the shoulder.

Finally, a basilisk appeared. Surprised, the party turned to look at the creature to then just be hit by its gaze. Fortunately, everyone was able to shrug off the effects. the creature went up to Fenn and bit him, hard, making Fenn yelp in pain.

By this point, everyone realized what was going on and got into their stances.

The first berserker once again attacked Mag wildly, abandoning defense for offense. Hitting her once more. But Mag's skin turned to stone for a moment completely blocking the attack.

The bugbear once again prepared to hit Luca, hitting her right in the spine. Luca fell over in pain.

Getting up from the ground Luca raised her divine halberd and smashed the bugbear right back. While she swung instinct coursed through her. She powered her divine weapon preparing it to sear right through her enemy. Luca swung, splitting the bugbear right in half.

the second demon slashed toward Traris wildly as well. He would have hit Traris too if Traris hadn't cast a magic shield in the nick of time, blocking the attack.

Realizing that they wanted to split us up, instead of attacking the man who was attacking him, Traris moved toward the one next to Mag. This movement allowed the demon next to him to attack him while he was distracted moving. But Travis was too agile to hit and even then the magic shield he cast was still there guarding him. As Traris ran to the demon, his blade started to whine and crackle with electricity. Traris him right in the shoulder sending electricity shocking through the demon. Before the demon even realized Traris took his blade out and whirled around for another strike. but Traris moved too hastily and missed his mark.

Mag was angry. breathing deeply she took her axe and struck the demon.

The basilisk once again bit Fenn, sending him reeling in pain.

Fenn was not looking good the basilisk had taken two big bites out of him and he needed to get away. Using his agility he disengaged and ran to the demon next to Mag and Traris, stabbing at him.

The Demon next to Mag again took another swing at her, hitting.

Luca ran over to the demon next to everyone else. raising her halberd she also hit the demon charging her divine magic she slashed down on it. cleaving the monster in two. quickly running over to the second demon she cut the demon's arm right off. Spinning her halberd around Luca also hit the demon in the chin with the butt.

The demon looked at its missing arm in shock before turning to Luca and making a guttural roar. Swing his axe wildly, the demon barely missed her due to the imbalance from his lost arm.

Traris ran to the remaining demon, summoning an ethereal blade made from the darkness. He slashed the demon with his normal sword, sheathed in electricity. the power of electricity cursed through the demon's body

"Luca! Step back! focus on the beast! he will die on his own if we leave him alone!" Luca nodded to Traris as she turned around and prepared to run. traris himself ran over to the basilisk, finally daring to look at the creature. Bringing his shadow blade up, Traris slashed into the basilisk. But the demon behind Traris took this moment to attack. The attack distracted him for a moment, and the blade started flicking. It took all his concentration to keep the spell in place.

Mag ran across the meadow, aiming straight for the others. once she arrived she looked at the basilisk easily shrugging off its effects in her rage-like state. swinging her axe she lodged it into the beast. using her off-hand and knee she attacked the basilisk like a beast.

The basilisk looked at the many people surrounding it and decided to go for the biggest threat, Mag. When the creature went to bite Mag, it was shaken by Mag's pummeling and couldn't bite hard enough.

Fenn ran over to the basilisk, getting his sword ready he stabbed at the beast. Fenn's sword struck true, piercing the basilisk's artery.

Luca also ran forth toward the basilisk. raising her Halberd she went into a flurry of attacks, Killing the creature.

The last demon stood in a clearing of its allies' dead bodies. It wailed in fear. As it went to at least run away. The electricity in its veins rebelled. sending the creature crashing to the ground in convulsions.

The Heroes of Heaven had won, for now.
