Log #21

I've been walking for quite some time now, the path I entered from is barely visible in the distance. As I've been walking I noticed the coloration of the plants was slightly off. Looking closer the plant's leaves were green, like one would expect if not a bit brighter looking, but the veins within were a pitch black, darker than any natural color I'd seen on earth. I haven't found anything that looks edible yet that isn't either near the forest's edge or in its depths. I'm getting very hungry. The moss is looking more and more tempting but the way it glows concerns me, even with handling it as much as I have, and having seemingly no adverse reaction.

Finally found something, I was getting ready to give up and try heading closer to the forest. There's a bush with small apple-like fruits on it, about halfway between the forest and the wall. I've decided to wait and watch from a sizable distance away behind a bush.

I didn't realize how tired my legs actually were, I don't know how long I had been walking for but it couldn't have been a small distance. Even without the curve I doubt I'd be able to see where I started. I wonder if anyone has reported me as missing yet. Actually now that I think about it, my weekend was just about to start, so it probably won't be reported for another few days at least. It's kind of funny, I would've woken up and been able to just relax at home, then continued on going back to work once the time came. But instead, I'm in some seemingly undiscovered cave system that doesn't even seem possible on earth, With god knows what down here with me. If I wasn't so hungry this would be kind of nice.

Nothing happened with the bush, not sure what I expected but it seemed like the right move. I'm going to grab some of the fruit and retreat to the wall. They're not that big but there's a decent amount on the bush, and I've got some room in the satchel.

Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit. The bush tried to eat me God dammit!! My arm hurts like hell, But I got a handful of the fruit so yay I guess... FUCK!!
