DCO: Loremaster ch 7

Terrance backed away from the completed raptor. As he did it began its system check. Beginning with it’s tail, instead of the chainsaw, it had a hammer-like end on it. This was multipurpose. Testing the balance of the tail the dino began to check it’s clawed feet, which became heavier and more spread out. This was to give the dino extra stability for what was on it’s back. Unlike the other raptors, who Terrance added weapons under their arms, this one was sporting a swivel-mounted .50 caliber machine gun with a feed coming from between the raptor’s shoulderblades. The individual raptor could use the gun itself, but it worked better when another mounted the gun or even disengage it if needing the mobility. Seeing all the perks on the floor mobs and combining them was rather fun for Terrance. This one got the stego upgrade of three combat modes. It’s default set to a mobile platform it can use by itself, the second mode, called entrenched, creates an energy shield that increases the defense of itself and the one manning the gun. The third mode is for higher mobility, where the raptor disengages it’s gun and goes full sprint on an attacker with its sledgehammer tail.

While that raptor got the most extensive upgrade among them, the others had additions added to them as well. One got grenade launchers that fire variable ammo from under it’s arms, like the floorboss, but have only single shots before needing reloading and less accuracy. Another had revolvers in it’s claws. Terrance spent a good amount adding targeting software for it and a ricochet calculator to it as well. Every squad needs that showoff. The fourth raptor he went with duo shotguns. With variable ammo of slugs, scattershot, and elemental types. Such as fire, ice, or explosive. In addition, Terrance gave that one extra frontal armor. The last was given a blowtorch that can double as a flamethrower. It was loaded with extra packs of armor plating and other supplies that could be used for healing the other raptors.

Each of the raptors also got a new paint job. With a base of black and blue, Terrance added a camo pattern to each of them. On each of their right shoulders was an image of the city in the distance and Spars image in the center. With S.P.A.R.S. written over it and under is JCPD.
