That night in an isolated dark room.
“ Not to speak of the dead, but Leonardo was an idiot. But a useful tool to learn a few things.”
The overweight Italian drank some wine as he watched the other members of the mob that could be brought. For now, he will settle for these three, but soon there will be many more to recruit from. And have competition with.
“ Now let us review what we have learned so far. First, this David is paranoid. He trusts most of those under him little, but they still give him his loyalty. Which is a strange but dangerous combination. His only loved one is one we have deemed impossible to target at this time. She is rarely alone, and impossible to take by surprise. We have lost two pawns already that way.
So next are his close friends. The first John is an asset we should preserve when we take over. No human knows magic like him. That being said, even targeting him would be even harder than the lizard woman. He is under constant guard and hold up in his home or visiting those lizards' birthing ground.
This brings me to the second and more likely target. Rick Loren. Recently went through a nasty episode with his wife. So is still mentally unstable and malleable. Spends most of his days in his workshop but is also often seen with his son Alex. Which is a likely kidnapping target. Who we might just bring into the family under our direct tutoring.
Now for the other targets. First this Silve Ironforge. A man, well dwarf, well over his head. Pretending to be king while barely holding the pieces together. We only need to let those short folk tear each other apart while we take over the head. Then it is mere cleanup.
As for those walking fleabags. Those dumb animals seem only smart enough to know how to talk and wear clothing. It will be even less effort to cull them or even make them into our pets. They do seem to make decent guard dogs for this Lord David.”
As the men inside talked a lycan listened outside and sighed as he took out a bottled potion made earlier that day. As he continued to listen to the man's plans and orders for his underlings, he could not put the strainer on the top of the bottle fast enough and punched the hose through a small crack left there on purpose for listening and actions such as this. Within a minute the bottle was empty and he heard four thumps of bodies hit the ground. Gark then pulled the hose out to signal the other Lycans to get inside and detain the men for a morning execution. As they did, he wondered about the other three teams doing the exact same thing to other completely different groups.

Silve Ironforge in the middle of the night.
Silve breathed heavily as sweat poured off his nose and landed on the shaft of the bloody hammer in his hands. As he stood in the bare he scanned the fifteen intruders that now lay dead in his home. As his heavy breathing slowed he looked at his first wife Marqe and his eyes caught hers. With a slight nod, he returned it to begin to assess the damage as his first wife stood ready. And with a simple scan, Silve found a bloody form being held by his second wife. His eyes go wide seeing the crossbow bolt deep in the chest of his third wife.

“ Delila, no...”
With a clank of his hammer, Marqe turned to find her husband abandoning all reason and she could not blame him. Still, she turned away as her husband began crying. Her only question was were the feet she heard reinforcements or enemies.
-----
Jake stood in front of the nude dwarf a bit uncomfortable. More so how bloody she was than anything else.
“ Madam Ironforge, I understand your position, but the Wardens can not just drop everything at the drop of a hat.”
“ We were attacked in our home...”
“ And do you think you were the only one?”
This caused the dwarf to pause.
“ Madam Ironforge, currently half the Wardens are subduing and holding terrorists and criminal elements who came with the new additions. Over half of those left were attacked by dwarves like you were. Sixteen Wardens and their families are dead. Another ten are known dead like your wife. All at the hands of dwarves. Over two hundred dwarves so far have either been killed or subdued. I myself had to kill six when they busted into my home.”
Marqe looked at Jake with a burning in his eye.
“ Five Wardens, including myself. That is all we can give.”
Marqe looked at her weeping husband and co-wife holding the third wife.
“ Do you think that will be enough to conduct the purge?”
Jake looked down at her coldly and she stiffened when he spoke.
“ We were ready to commit genocide.”
Marqe gulped and looked at her loved ones again.
“ In instances such as this, I can take over as temporary head of the clan by ancient dwarven law. Give me half an hour and we shall begin the purge.

Twenty minutes later in another dwarve’s home.
Gemwell Gembeard sat in his waiting room under a candle reading the report from his spymaster. Things were not going according to plan. Apparently, Lord David was not as kind-hearted as the fool Silve is. Fortunately, or unfortunately, he was conducting a similar purge to the newcomers as Gemwell was of the old guard. The report said his method would be different, but the result would be the same. This caused over half of his and his allies' assassins to be discovered and out of positions when the attack began. Less than a fifth managed to launch their attacks and only half of those were successful. Of which, none of the major targets were killed.
Gemwell spat on the paper before setting it alight by the candle. As it was halfway burning he heard a pounding on the door. Not moments later a servant answered the door allowing dozens of armored dwarves to push their way inside. Gemwell slightly expected this, but not this quickly. His only thoughts now were of his family.
